I can appreciate when a restaurant goes through the efforts of attempting to class up their establishment, but come on, this is fast food. If you want to class yourselves up you might as well come to my table and take my order.
And what is it with this location and there never being any ice in the drink machines? I feel like I spend 10 minutes putting ice in my cup every time I'm here.
If you haven't been to this Fazoli's in a while, you'll notice they've changed it up a bit. They painted the interior to make it a little brighter and instead of serving their food in to-go containers, it's now offered in big white ceramic bowls with real live silverware. It's a small change, but it does class up the joint slightly. The food is still averagely good... and the breadsticks are just as soaked with grease as ever (just as we like them!). My biggest gripe about this place is that it seems to be a magnet for huge groups of very loud children ranging from 4 to 14.
Review Source:I'd never heard of this place until I met my husband, who used to work at this location. Â We live in CA so when he went on pre-deployment leave, we came here so he could have me try his beloved baked spaghetti that he raved so much about. Â Who knew something as simpe as spaghetti baked with mozarella cheese could be so good? Â Also, his grandfather, who is a weekly customer, always orders the breadsticks double toasted, which I think makes them taste better.
We definitely hit this spot up everytime we go visit his family in Richmond. Â
Took off one star cuz... well.. its fast food Italian. Â Its good, but not amazing lol.
I would really kill for a closer Fazoli's to Chicago, than having the closest ones being in either Kenosha or Valparaiso. *sigh* Especially since I believe they'd absolutely make a great killing, and fill an unserved niche, if they ever were to expand into Chicagoland.
Wishing aside, it was a nice treat being able to stuff myself with some fast-food Italian a few vacations back, when I was in town. Got some pasta and garlic bread(latter came along with my meal), and didn't disappoint. Decent speed in the drive-thru lane(even if not the fastest around), and friendly service. What's not to like about that?
