Bar is not too bad. Â Food, cooks, and wait staff are below average.
I'm disappointed with this restaurant because when they first opened a few years back I actually expected something upscale and of value locally. Â What we got was a nice looking place with consistently below average food and a questionable clientele. Â Cooks are anything but. Â Waiters have no experience or sense, I believe they may be just friends or family just put to work. Â On the bar/lounge side, they made a big mistake by promoting and bringing in a bad out of town element which eternally hurts the image of the place. Â I've been there a dozen times always hoping for something better but will not return. Â Not worth it.
Overall I had good experience here. There was not too many customers, like 2 other couples and us. Nice place and romantic, relaxing atmosphere. I went there as Groupon customer. Soon as we are seated waiter came and took our drink and appetizer order. Â Menu was straight forward. We ordered Crab cake, Veal parm with Capallini and Tilapia Francise with vegetables. Crab cake was tasty, it went quick. They brought over complementary house salad and garlic bread which were very good. My wife asked if we can bring the bread home, since it was very nice. Portion of the food was plenty with some leftover. To finish off, we had flan and coffee. I have to say we had very good experience here. Prices on menu were average. No negative comment here. Very clean place. We find a parking front of the place, but there was parking next to restaurant as well. I wish they do Groupon again.
Review Source:Came here kind of randomly this past weekend while visiting my girlfriend's parents in northern NJ and had a terrific meal. Â
The garlic bread they serve you is actually very tasty. Â I definitely ate three pieces right off the bat. Â
There were a bunch of us in the party, so we all shared some appetizers, all of which we enjoyed. Â We got the fried calamari, stuffed mushrooms (which they made vegetarian for us, since my girlfriend eats veggie), crab cakes, and a big Greek salad to split amongst us. Â We devoured everything pretty quickly.
My girlfriend ordered the cream of turnip soup, which despite the fact that it appeared  heavy and creamy just from the look of it, was actually delicately flavored with rosemary and was not over the top at all (I had more than a few spoonfuls).  In general, the food was prepared with a careful consideration to not be too salty, or too heavy.  Portion sizes were completely appropriate. Â
I ordered the herb-crusted salmon dish (with a side of pasta) for my entree and it, like all the apps before it, was pretty delicious - not in any way dried out. Â
The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and the portion sizes. Â The service was excellent, too. Â We didn't have to wait too long to get our food. Â Our waiter (named Franco, I think) was very attentive and like I mentioned, they went out of the way to make sure my girlfriend (vegetarian) was satisfied. Â
Despite visiting on the Friday night after Thanksgiving, when normally the thought of a big quantity food is harder to enjoy, our meal at Feelgood, since it wasn't too much or too heavy, was a perfect way to continue sharing a nice big dinner with family even after pigging out the previous day.
