There are no prices at all on the drink menu. My girl and my friend were curious so I asked the average price of the martini's and I was told $9 - $12 dollars. A little bit pricey, but its a nicer place. No big deal. It had a pretty cool atmosphere. And in my opinion worth it.

I heard this place went through a bit of a change to make it more appealing to the craft beer scene. They have a respectable bottle selection of about 15 choices. I ordered a 22oz Voodoo Love Child thinking prices would be on par with the martinis. Then the bill game... $22. I checked comparisons of some near by bars. $12.

I've lived in Phoenixville for 3 years. Every time I walk by this place it is empty. Now I know why. Some beers actually should be $22. Or $44 a bottle. Or more. It's because they deserve to be! It's called supply and demand. Since this bar is empty nearly every time I walk past it, there is clearly no demand for this establishment in Phoenixville. Therefore, prices should reflect that. Charge a few extra bucks to keep the riff raff out. But be reasonable. I have never been to a craft beer bar in my entire life that keeps the prices hidden. It's very important to us. Not because we want to order the cheapest beer. But because we want to compare cost to other beers we enjoy.

I told the waitress it was absurd. When she came back with my card, I told her to tell the manager if he wants people to actually come back , then to put the prices on the menu, or charge a reasonable amount for the drinks (preferably both). She then offered a discount which was very nice of her and brought the beer down to the price it should have been.

BTW, on the way out I found $40 on the ground and gave it to the waitress.

I've been to this martini bar a few times. It seems a bit out of place for Phoenixville. It's really trendy looking,  it looks like it should be in the city. My fiance and I went on Friday to use the Living Social deal I purchased. We arrived and sat at one of the half booth tables. We ordered drinks. They have a great beer and wine selection. I ordered a pinot grigio. We also ordered the bbq tacos and Mediterranean platter. They arrived promptly. The tacos were  a little dry, but had a nice flavor. The hummus platter was ok. The grilled pita was really tasty and the portion size was large. Overall we had a pleasant experience. I didn't have a martini on this visit, but I have on others, and while they are $9-10, they are tasty and they don't skim on the liquor.

My boyfriend and I always go on Friday nights for Happy Hour - there is one male bartender that happens to be there every Friday during that time who is very nice, efficient and he makes the best drinks!

Cool little martini bar/lounge feel. Great martinis. I always forget his name, but the guy bartender on Friday nights makes awesome drinks! He makes great whiskey sours!

Had a great experience at The Fenix. Ryan, the manager, was super friendly and helpful and their Flirtini was delicious! I will definitely be returning.

Whippedtini was delicious and service was good but ambience could use some help. Was much louder in there than advertised because acoustics are weird in the building. Also there was a very annoying and mediocre lonely guitarist whining counting crows songs the whole time we there . Its a martini bar for crying out loud. There should be low lying pop/dance or jazz playing, not depressing nineties grunge. Mediocre for starting out a friday night.

I don't get the bad reviews.  I've only been here twice and had a good time both times.  They have a solid craft brew selection, service was great and a good layout.  Lots of couches and "chill space".   I didn't eat here, but I would consider it in the future.

Honestly, this place really sucks ass.

It's owned by the same douche bags that own Molly Maguire's next door. And that place sucks too.

Yeah, yeah, there is always a good crowd at Molly's but I put no stock in that as they are all the young dumb crowd and just there for drinks and to get laid.

I've been to both several times and can tell you that the staff changes like rain.

On this night, our server FIRST apologized for the wait on drinks as there were no martini glasses. As if a martini bar should need those. I counted the patrons, there were 52 in a bar that holds three times that. Our server said that they went next door (to Molly's which they share, apparently, kitchen and restaurant stuff with) to get clean glassware. So 40 minutes later we get our drinks.

Then comes the second excuse, Molly's kitchen is busy so we wait another 35 minutes for appetizers (the menu is tappas so excuse the app reference).

Then comes the third excuse, the staff is new so they are having trouble making drinks. My friend ordered, or should I say re-ordered a drink, and they screwed it up, BADLY.

I had two very good friends that worked at these two restaurants. One was a GM at Molly's the other as a bartender at Fenix. Both said the family that owns these places really screw their employees over and thus the turnover. And they have no clue how to operate a REAL restaurant.

Won't be back. And I suggest you avoid both like the plague.

The staff here is nice, however, the place is odd.  It wants to be hip, but is having difficulty separating itself from the norm.  The live music is so out of place. Nothing makes a martini taste worse than an ex frat boy with a guitar belting out Dave Matthews covers.

This bar just doesn't fit in the community.  It works specifically for older couples or anyone looking to avoid a crowd.  The drinks are overpriced and aren't amazing.  Not much to the layout of the bar.  It works for simplicity purposes.  It tries to be more of a city martini bar but comes up really short.

The Fenix is an out of place martini bar, but rounds out the selection of drinking establishments in Pheonixville nicely.

This establishment is owned through Molly Maguire's its next door neighbor, so if you use a card to pay while visiting, your statement will say Molly Maguire's even if you didn't visit their sister bar next door.

They have a great selection of specialty drinks and craft beers at this location.

The place is relaxed with cozy seating that lines it on both sides of the business. In addition, they frequently have a DJ near the back of the business that opens the place for the potential of dancing.

This place would be nice if it were in the city but its severely out pf place here.  Over priced martinis that are not the best and the food is something that needs to we worked on. Found it to be overpriced....not really worth it

The Fenix is a yuppy doosh joint. The décor inside looks like something from Trading Spaces the early years, I bet Ty Pennington assembled the furniture.  However, I don't think it's so bad. Though It looks tacky it's comfy and the set up is very spacious. My wife loves this place and most chicks do. Here, girls live out their Sex and the City Fantasies by dressing up and drinking cocktails. Don't fret fellows, they offer a diverse array of booze to get your lurpy lurp on. They offer drinks like Top shelf whiskies such as Johnny Walker Blue and Chimay beer. If you don't know what Chimay is, it is like Gold Monkey's more successful brother who went to college and made something of himself. They have food, but only in appetizer form. The food is tasty but is very California hipster stuff like sushi, lobster nachoes, that sort of thing. Lastly, don't get too jib with your bib because the drinks here ain't cheap son.

The Fenix has a hipster interior and oddly included "dance area" which gives off a vibe that basically screams "Calling all douche bags and lonely middle aged women." But I digress.

We've been here several times, usually after drinking just enough to forego our sober reservations towards the establishment. The Fenix is not large, and by trying to include one area of the small space as a disco/dance/DJ/confusing area it really cuts the place in half, unless you like being lambasted with bad music on sub-quality speakers.

The drinks are overpriced. I see they are now including food as well, which I have not tried. I would rate the martinis as a 6/10, some are creative, but I've never been wow'd by anything I've ordered there. They are usually pretty strong, which is often why we end up stopping in for one after a night at the other bars.

Overall The Fenix is depressingly underwhelming. The only real upside is that we've never experienced bad service.

Oh, and order the whiskey martini at your own peril, it's a night & next day wrecker.

Fenix has so much promise, which makes it such a let down! It is designed beautifully, very mid-century modern chic. The drinks are fancy "martinis" and while they are good, they are VERY overpriced. About halfway back Fenix has a total identity crisis and turns into a super lame bar with horrible music, humorously bad dancing and terrible service. Plus the bar area is kind of messy, cases of beer sitting around etc. I just think if I'm spending $14 for ONE drink, not including tip the atmosphere should justify the cost. Get your act together Fenix, you could be supercool!

Good for a drink before going to a restaurant, but not for a night out. Two drinks cost us 34 dollars after tip. This was not worth the pour or the scene. We go every once in a while, but not good enough to be a "we should go there before dinner" place.

Sort of sad. Came here a few weeks ago with friends who are into martinis--I'm not, so I ordered a champagne cocktail and the bartender had no idea what it was. Really? I know it's a martini bar, but come on, dude. Then he didn't have any bitters or something (who knows), so I asked if he could make a bellini, and again--clueless (he asked me if that wasn't caviar). Oh, Phoenixville.

    Won't be returning.

Absolutely ridiculous. On the other hand... I'm not a martini girl so that may be why I didn't like the atmosphere - or the PRICES.

Bare brick walls and a hipster vibe make this place similar in appearance to Winedown in West Reading (my town's only wine bar, sniffle), just bigger.  Unlike Winedown, I guess it wants to be an urban-style club.  It would not be for me on the weekends if they are cultivating a Scene, which is what their site implies.

By some crazy explanation we could not understand, the bartender told us that none of the wines on the list were available, only the house pours.  Hunh?  And plenty of them looked pretty good.  So I had my standard Hendricks martini with the ice from the shaker (not just any ice) on the side.  Sorry to get all prissy, but I do not consider fruity mixed drinks in a martini glass to be martinis; these are cocktails, not martinis.

If you are drinking a martini, it is a specific classic drink made of gin and vermouth and served up... maybe, just maybe, vodka could be an alternative if you are not a purist.  My bf enjoyed a bottle of Lambic, which we were glad to see on the menu because he is extremely picky about beer (while I can be happy with most any hop-bomb).  Two drinks, and the bill was over $20, but I am not paying $8 a glass for a Canyon Creek Merlot or whatever it was -- can't you get the double bottle for that much at the store?  I had no complaints about my martini, and the bartender kept an eye on us and took care of us even though we were far from the bar.

We've had the black and tan hummus dish in the past but don't come here for the eats.  All ages of people were here when we were, not just scenester 20-somethings, so we felt welcome.

Wish I could give it no stars.  Not even going to mention the food or drinks.  The waitress lost my credit card from the bar to my table two days before Christmas!  Never offered to get a manager.  Never offered to comp the bill or even her tip that she had already charged to my credit card she "lost".  She then proceeded to tell me that I could call her at 2 am to see if they found it.  Not that someone would call me.  I left my number with her and no one ever called me.  I called and left a message for a manager to call me to discuss and I have yet to hear back in two days!  Ridiculous.  I just left yet another message for a manager to call me back.  WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!  This would never happen downtown.

Very disappointing experience.  Paid $13 for martinis in small martini glasses with about 3/4" of room at the top.  Complained to the manager and he gave us song and dance about "they have a standard pour" and all the drinks are that size.  Either you are a chic bar that is expensive and worth it, or you are a diveish bar that has low prices where you get what you pay for.   He eventually  offered a free round, but the replacement drinks were so poorly mixed we left them on the table.  Won't be returning.

Sad find.  From the website, it looked like it was a happening place but on a Friday night at 9pm it was dead.  If you're coming, don't worry about trying to get a table because they pretty much are all free.  Our group got a couple of martinis and beers.  Even though they specialize in martinis, the drinks we got weren't memorable.  My main issue is the food- ordered the chips with guac and quesadillas.  The chips were stale as year old bread and the guac was most def from a bag...not to mention glowing the most unnatural toxic green color.  The quesadilla was so tasteless we left two of them there.  There were a few customers up at the bar and a few others coming in and out but I understand why the place is quiet.  I don't see a return here in the future.

For a delicious martini or a great draft micro, stop in to Fenix.  Jen, a most awesome bartender if there ever was one, will be happy to make your favorite libation.  The food isn't going to fill you up, though...there is a reason they're called 'small plates.'

Love this place. Hipper than anything in Philly, always reminds me of Manhattan. Drinks here and dinner at Black Lab and you'd think you were in a cool big city (except for the walk down Bridge St.!). Drinks can be a little city-pricy but worth it.

I've been to the Fenix a number of times since it opened and while the drinks have definitely improved over time, the service and atmosphere seem to have gotten worse. The place was pretty busy when I got there so I understand that the staff would have their hands full, but after a while it seemed like they had forgotten that people may want a drink or 2. When we were finally able to get an order in, the drinks did come out in a timely manner so that made me happy. The atmosphere makes me want to give it 2 stars though and it's not because of what they've done with the place. The place is a great, small cocktail bar, not a club. So the Beastie Boys blasting from the back room with the obligatory group of frat boys screaming along to the music really didn't make me love my night out. On top of that, the constant make-out sessions on the bench across from us may have qualified for a story in Penthouse Forum, but that isn't the fault of the Fenix so they can keep a star. And I wish I could blame them for the couple coming out of the men's room adjusting their clothes, but again the blame goes to raging hormones and ecstasy. I just think if the club aspect was removed and they stuck with being just a great bar then you would actually want to go and hang out without having to deal with the club atmosphere and inappropriate behavior. Don't get me wrong. I would still love to go here, but I'll get the early bird special (before club hours) and take a black light with me before I touch anything. Enjoy!

The martinis and specialty drinks at the Fenix are excellent.  I would recommend every drink that I have had there, and I have been on several occasions.  There are options for people that like more "fruity" drinks and for those that prefer something a little stronger.

The only draw back is that it is extremely noisy and loud inside.  It is very difficult to carry on a normal conversation.  It is not because the music is too loud, but the space is so small that everyones conversations mingle together.

It's still a great place, but I would recommend going in the warmer months and sitting out on the patio.

I almost went with a 3 because of one thing...lobster nachos.  I'm definately a "sticker shock" person so to call that an appetizer...come on...like 6 nachos for 4 people?

I know.  I'm not classy enough.

The martinis, however, scrumptous.  I believe I had white grape.  Very well made.  I left the bar a little tipsy and a lot hungry.

Lobster nachos, martini's, and a large bottle of specialty beer was a fun way to relax on a Friday night before going to dinner. My wife and cousin picked out a Flirtini and a White Grape Martini, from an extensive martini menu and both were as good as a described. I went with a champagne size bottle for Brooklyn Brewery bottle fermented beer, which I thoroughly enjoyed popping the cork on this bottle of beer at our table. Though several people around us looked a tad worried I might fire the cork across the room, all went well. No eyes shot out. The lobster nachos were tasty and fresh. Disclaimer: The lobster nachos are not the gigantic, typical bar food sized. They are modestly sized at best.

Dress was casual to business casual. Heck they even have pics up on there website with people dressed very casually. Even if you are not a martini drinker, they have an exotic beer menu of upscale American and imported beers. So for our first visit my synopsis of The Fenix is that it provides a great compliment to the the numerous BYOB in Phoenixville and a great place to start or end your night in Phoenixville.

This is supposed to be a tapas bar, but it has problems with both: the bar and the tapas. Id say it's not a tapas bar. Tapas bars have small snacks at reasonable prices--you add a few and you just had dinner. The food is forgettable....and did I say beyond expensive. They started out promisingly with oysters Rockefeller, but the duck lollipop was cold & tasteless with a inedible sauce. As for the bar, I asked for Lillet, an apertif...they offered Frangelica...I settled on sweet vermouth. The night I was in they had two Chardonnays--both undrinkable. The tab for cheap vermouth, glass of Pinot Grigio, oysters, a deceny Pinot Noir & ugly duck was $60!!

We stopped in The Fenix prior to our dinner for some tapas and drinks.    The martini's and other drink selection were different (in a good way) that other locations in Phoenixville.  The place had a very chilled and relax ambiance.  We sat at the bar however the cushy table and chair set ups looked comfy as well.

In my first review I  gave this super swanky lounge 4 stars indicating they still had some wrinkles to work out.  Well, they have worked them out.  This place easily competes with any bar in the city (philly) and is easily the best lounge bar in the suburbs.  We have visited several times and they really have some great martinis.  They even have 8 different types of stuffed olives for their martinis for those finicky folks that like to flip their pinky's out when they sip their drinks.  They have an tasty tappas menu and the prices are very good.  The music is light and lounge inspired and later in the night transforms into DJ pumping house music.  Awesome is all I can say but I still think it can take another step to get to a 5th star.  I want them open even later and more often.  I'll keep you up to date.
