Probably odd, right? Â I'm not a beer drinker, and I won't ever get my plate on the wall for drinking 200 different beers [though, I visited this place with a guy who is about 35 away from getting his second plate]. Â But, you've gotta' respect a place that seems to offer a great experience for its intended market. Â Flying Saucer is a comfortable place with plenty of tables and places to sit back and drink an exceedingly wide range of beers from all over the world. Â I sat there for a couple of hours during a recent evening with a few people, and without any concern about tying up a table or feeling compelled to move on.
Our waitress was great. Â She knew the products, and could address a wide range of questions from our party. Â She was very accessible. Â Most everyone sampled the products. Â We also tried some wings and chips & queso. Â Despite not ordering food, we felt welcome to be there. Â By the way, the atomic hot wings are hot, but not ridiculously so, and the dry rub had a nice range of flavor ... not just extreme temperature.
Comfortable place.
