I love this place, hands down my favorite bar! I'm here at least 2-4 times a week. The food is excellent, all the sandwiches were great, appetizers were good, pretzels are crazy good, especially when you're downing a few brews. Staff were all friendly, waitresses were cool, they would stay and talk for a few minutes if they got the time. It's great place to chill with some friends, or even when you're on a break from work. Now the beer selections... Where do I start, they have at least 200+ beers to choose from. If you're overwhelmed with the selection the waitresses are there to help. I found myself coming here frequently, that I eventually joined the UFO club lol. Love the indoor and outdoor seating area, I love this place so much, that I have no complaints what so ever

Love the Saucer and the Saucer Bratzel is one of the best bar food items ever!! I wish they had more TV's throughout the whole place or maybe on the side walls so everyone can see what's going on from the far sides. Go have a beer or two or three, great place to hang out in Sugar Land!!

Flying Saucer is my go-to bar on the weekends. It's super chill and the waitresses are pretty knowledgable, in my eyes, as far as suggesting drinks! Their rocket tots are yummy too!

Some of my friends introduced me to this place and I think that it has filled a niche that Sugar Land has been missing for a while.

Whether you are wanting to watch the game, throw back a few after work, or looking to just get some food and chill with friends, this place is the one to go to. It has a really cool atmosphere and multiple large tv screens. I came to watch the game here and it was a great atmosphere.

It has great features such as:
-250+ kinds of beer from all over the world!
-A loyalty program where if you try 200 different beers, then you will get to take one of the plates home with you from their collection.
-Great bar food as well as lots of dishes to have as meals. THey have great pretzels and the tator tots are out of this world!
-Trivia night on Tuesdays starting at 7:30PM and 10PM. Winners get gift cards and the most creative team name gets a free round of beers!
-Indoor and outdoor seating allow for flexibility and when the whether isn't humid, outside seating is nice (except the smoking).

The prices are really reasonable and the waitresses are all super nice! I have had the same one multiple times and she is so attentive and is super nice.

This place is the new place to be downtown and one of the best new attractions of Town Center!

I like this location better because there is better parking than the one downtown.

Shame on you if you come here to order a Dos Equis.

I was here with three others on June 21, 2013 around 5:00 pm for a beer and appetizers.  I have been here many times and the thing I like is the consistency.  The $3 fire sale brew, Moose Drool Amber, was cold and good tasting.  Shared the Rocket Tots and Nachos Grande.  The appetizers are good although there are many more places to get better nachos (though not with bratwurst).  And they are on the pricey side.  Great atmosphere and excellent service.  I'll never get the 200 beer plate, but FS is a good addition to the Town Square dining area.

We were here late afternoon on a weekday. It was relatively quiet, with just a few late-lunchers like ourselves. There were several waitresses in training, shadowing a more experienced staff member. The girls who were our servers were very good. They asked good questions, were attentive and helpful, and offered a beer sample unsolicited, thus making a sale. The fish and chips was excellent, not too heavy or greasy and a generous portion. My dining partner had the Reuben, which he enjoyed very much. He especially liked the jalapeno kraut.

As for beer, I am an IPA kind of gal. There were tons to choose from, and the servers can help narrow down your choice. They have everything from barley wine to quadrupels to stouts and ales and more. If you have tried 200 types or more, you get a saucer on the wall acknowledging your accomplishment.

It wasn't my home town taco Mac but it was similar as far as the regulars ! You had to pay $18 to join and only allowed 3 beers a day! Outside the shitty regulations great place! Lol

Big selection of beer. Knowledgeable staff. I noticed majority was extremely skinny. I had the beer they were promoting that day. A pale ale. The only bad thing was that it was too noisy. I couldn't listen to people talking to me or it was hard for me to interact with my friends. If you like beer, this is a good place to go but to me its hard tp socialize with all the noise. 3.00 pint Mondays

First time I have ever been to one and while it was ok I was not blown away impressed.

Took a while to get a waitress over ( I was on the patio )     once we get drink orders placed   we start looking at the menu.   I decided on the bratwurst  plate with bread

Bratwurst was VERY TASTY ... unfortunately the sauerkraut was not that good   and bread roll ended up getting soaked in something  and was softy and mushy.. I ended up just eating the  Brat and moving on.

If I'm going to end up in SL, I'll probably end up here at least for a little while. Each time I've been, it's been constantly busy on the weekends. They have a decent sized patio where you can check out the passers-by and other patios across the street. Their selection of beer is excellent of course, and the food menu surprisingly varied. All the food and drink I've had has been pretty good. Especially worth mentioning are the Rocket Tots, Nachos Grande, and the Hungry Farmer (pick your own meat/cheese plate).

On the down side, they have very strict rules - only 6 drinks per person per day, regardless of the duration of your visit or if it's your second visit of the day, etc. If they've served you your 6 and they 'catch' you drinking out of someone else's glass, they kick you out. Seeing as we will stay at the same bar for 7+ hours sometimes, this can be an issue. So we usually end up leaving and heading over to BLU or something.

To be part of their UFO club is $18 (which they don't tell you because you're supposed to be reading the form you fill out) and includes a t-shirt. Trying 200 different beers gets you the coveted Ring of Honor and a plate on the wall. Each visit only allows 3 different beers towards your goal, so you'll be there a lot trying to meet your mark.

If you like beer, you would LOVE this place. They have PLENTY of beers and when I say plenty I mean plenty.  It seems like the have some sort of reward program going on with their beers so definitely check that out.  I'm not a beer drinker but decided to stop by for lunch one day.

I ordered their grilled chicken sandwich with a side of fries. The food was out in about 15 minutes. The fries looked and tasted like those HEB brand shoestring fries so needless to say, I wasn't very impressed with them -  I was actually quite disappointed. The sandwich itself tasted okay but the chicken was very dry. I can't speak for any of their other food since I haven't tried them, but I do know that next time I will venture out try something new.

As far as the service goes, it was okay. It wasn't stellar and it wasn't awful. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here, but if I'm ever in the area and hungry, maybe I'll give it one more try.

Huge selection of beers and the interiors do not reek of cigarette smoke.  You can be a member of the UFO club and there are several people who have their saucers decorating the establishment.  Food menu is simple and fairly cheap with prices under $10 for the most part.  They have sausage and pretzels as well as burgers and some salads.

My first experience with this location was in Austin but I also went to the one in sugar land to celebrate a friends' birthday.

This place is extremely loud (it is a bar) and you must be 21 and older even though it can be confused as a dinner area, it's not.

The wall is decorated with "saucer" looking plates of people who have completed 200 different types of beers and joined some kind of reward club. It looks really weird and odd because you can spend hours looking at the different plates around you. To keep you entertained, they even have a dart board.

The food is "beer food" and plenty of finger foods. You have anything ranging from chicken tenders to meals like hamburger and fries. I thought the food was good especially my fried pickles.

The price averages around $7-15 a plate and sharing isn't recommended. I remember that the portions were averaged size.

    THE BEER:

This place has over 200 or so beers regularly and seasonally, Draft included. It has a beer for beer drinkers and non-beer drinkers. While I didn't drink any of the darker beers, this place is awesome for anyone who goes that route.

The beer I love the most is the raspberry tasting beer.  I recommend that for the ladies (like myself) and anybody who doesn't like beer because even my boyfriend says it taste great (like juice). I also like apple cider woodchuck.

From what I remember the beer ranges from $5 to $10 a glass. I am not sure if they have wine but please don't come here to drink wine. You know that saying, do not mix your alcohol...follow it well in this situation.

THE ROOT BEER available are delicious. They come in a bottle and is non-alcoholic. It taste nothing like the canned ones at the store for all you root beer haters, give this a try. I recommend trying all 4 of the different brands because they do taste different. I believe they are $4 or $5 a bottle.

Recommend this place for everyone who has a mis-conception about beer because when brewed correctly, it can taste great and it just an overall different experience from the beer you get at a college party or house party. It is classier brewed. Enjoy.

I'm not a beer drinker. Not at all.  All beer tastes like, well...beer to me and I don't like beer. For a beer lover, this place is a great idea. So many beers and with a wide array   of varieties on the list, beer drinkers will definitely find something they love.
Besides basic beer this place offers specialty beers, stouts, ciders and wine.
I tried the Ruffino Prosecco, which is a light and fruity white wine. It had a delicacy in taste that I found it very good. I would definitely get a glass of it again.
As far as foods go, they serve typical appetizers like nachos, chips and queso, chicken tenders, etc. They do offer share plates which is a pretty good value. Also on the menu are pizzas you can customize with your own choice of toppings, a meat and cheese plate (3 items for $10.99 or 5 for $15.99), a variety of sandwiches, burgers soups and salads. Vegetarian options are offered, as well. Note: I didn't find the meat and cheese plate to be such a value for the amount you get.
We tried the Fish n Chips and the Saucer Dipster (minus the horseradish mayo). The Fish n Chips wasn't greasy but was a little heavy on the batter in some parts. The fries were hot and fresh with good seasoning. The Saucer Dipster had flavorful, tender roast beef and a great Swiss cheese. The hoagie bun was a little too dry around the edges but dipped in the au jus it was fine. I didn't encounter any gristly, fatty sections in the beef so that's a plus for this sandwich. Again, fries were great.
The dessert offered here is Mud Island Torte. Being a huge fan of sweets I could not pass this up. I was extremely pleased with this sugary concoction of molten lava cake, vanilla ice cream and a delicious sauce (Framboise Lamic, it's called. Fancy.)
The prices here for the food are moderate but some items are a bit pricey for what they actually are.
Service was friendly and efficient even when it was during busy times. No complaints here.
They have a U.F.O. club you can join which may be a good investment if you come here often enough to make it worthwhile. Along the walls are plaques of people who have made The Ring of Honor and tried all the beers they offer. T-shirts and gift cards are also available for sale.
My verdict? The food is averagely decent, the wine list is limited but the wines offered are fine quality. Flying Saucer caters to beer lovers and if you are one you'll be pleased here. Otherwise you'll think it's A-OK, like me.

Huge selection of beer, and you can have samples, too.

My three dining partners and I enjoyed our meals which ranged from bratwurst, veggie pita, and the soft pretzel with cheese/bratwurst.  Everyone raved over  their meal, but the resident complainer didn't like her pretzel. It looked good to me though!

The food was fresh, tasty and the service was a little above average.

I will definitely eat at Flying Saucer again.

Completely lost on what to order, a menu jammed packed with legal disclaimer sized fonts.

But it's my kind of place, ask for the specials, samplers of food and beers. A guaranteed place to have a good time with friends. Never have I been to a place so casual yet stocked to the tilt with any beers you can come up with.

First time no one is looking at their phones or watching the TV's scattered about. just alot of good times and pictures to prove it.

I am happy that Flying Saucer has opened in the land of sugar.  It makes me reminisce of what I used to do prior to this area developing, and I am drawing a blank.  Prior to this location opening, if you lived in the area, you would have to drive about 30 minutes out into the city to get a good beer.  For first timers, there are literally about 200 different beers you could choose from.  And honestly, I don't think they even have Budwiser and/or Miller Lite (which is a good thing they don't!).  The many variety of beers will open your palate and expose you to many different lagers, ales, ciders, pilzners, stouts, cask brews, etc.  All in one convenient location!

As a bar, the food served is fairly "bar-like".  Their wings are actually my go-to here as they are pretty crispy and consistent each time.  I do love my burgers, but surprisingly, the hippie burger (vegetarian) is really good.  The pretzels are perfectly seasoned and is not extremely tough - the texture could be similar to those of Auntie Annie's pretzels found in the mall.

The service is average - depending on how busy it is, the waitresses would check on you more or less frequently (but that's to be expected).  The only gripe I have with the place is that it could get extremely loud in terms of music.  The place gets packed, so of course there is going to be a lot of folks chatting it up, and having a good time.  But for whatever reason, they turn the music up to the point of where the guests have to somewhat shout (or at least I feel like it).

All in all, this is my home away from home.  I should see if they would allow me to pay my bills through direct deposit at this point.

I'm SOOOO glad there is a Flying Saucer on my side of town now.  I love, love, love beer.  You will see all walks of life here, from young to older and everyone is just enjoying their time.

It's a place to grab a drink and relax or just watch some sports.  The beer list is quite remarkable.  When it gets busy, however, you might not see your waiter/waitress for awhile and they breeze by you so fast that sometimes you miss them.  Either way, it's a fun place to hang out at.

The food, eh- not so much.

This is not a review of the food.  This is a review of this place as a bar at night.

I loved this place.  This is definitely a local hang out for Sugar Landers young and old.  I'm 23 and I felt right at home.  I learned that my mom's friend who is about 55 has a plate with his name on the wall (which means he has drank a lot of beer there!).  Obviously, this place works for a lot of different clientele.

I went once with a huge group.  You can only fit about 6 people to a table outside so we had to split into two tables.  By 10 p.m. on a Saturday it gets completely packed.   The second time I went, it was 9 p.m. on a Friday and we had to poach a table.  There were people standing by the bar, because there was nowhere to sit.  Normally, I would see this taking away from the experience, but here it adds to the atmosphere.   It is a bustling place and it is not weird to just stand near the bar.  It give it a packed place to see and be seen feel.  There are tvs so you can catch sports games if you want.

Like everyone has said, the beer selection is fantastic.  I had a Chocolate Banana ($5) and a Hummingbird Water ($6).  Even though I'm not a beer person, I love the beer here.  Obviously, from my selection, they have what I like to call "chick beer" that even I enjoy.  Usually the waitress will ask you want to sample their special for the day and bring you a taste.  The prices are good and you can usually tailor your drink choices to spend as little or as much as you want.

This is a down home bar that is quiet enough that you can catch up with people, but loud enough that you feel comfortable.  I will probably come back every time I am in town and I am upset that it was not here when I lived here.

4 stars based on a great beer selection and food that is surprisingly decent and well priced. The service is quick and attentive.

Did I mention they have a great beer selection, tap and bottles. It's a chain but for beer lovers that are not familiar with the Flying Saucer I would say its a must visit.

Flying Saucer is a solid addition to the booming Sugar Land Town Square, and a much more welcome sight that the old guard of Baker Street (and its smoke-infested interior), Loggia (and its Washingtonian standards), and Kona Grill (and its extremely crowded patio happy hour).

I had been to other Flying Saucers in the past, including the downtown location, and never found it anything special. But the one in Town Square is kind of awesome, with a great patio, down-to-earth clientele, and solid all-around fun atmosphere.

There are some complaints about the service, but I've never had any issues. In fact, I daresay Flying Saucer just brought over all the cute servers and bartenders that once populated Loggia, without the Affliction fauxhawk bouncer that went along with that hot mess. Equal opportunity plug: friends say the guys aren't bad either.

It's easy to forget that pre-gastropub and craft beer days (here's looking at you, Hay Merchant), places like Flying Saucer and Ginger Man set the standard for finding good beer with quality food. Even if a place like Hay Merchant is still the standard bearer, there's still room for the regular, casual beer drinker at a place like Flying Saucer.

The beer menu is stout. Like Yard House or Ginger Man, it's a little more down to earth than the uber-crafty Hay Merchant. Daily specials abound, and the beer flights are actually a nice diverse bang for your buck type deal, if you're into that sort of thing. There are also quite a few Texas beers, so that's a nice touch.

The food is surprisingly solid here as well, and I'd be remiss if I didn't recommend the awesome pretzel. It can also come loaded with cheese and bratwurst, again, if you're into that sort of thing. Plain with the spicy mustard works just fine for me, though.

As of now, Flying Saucer is probably the easiest pick to make in the burgeoning downtown of Sugar Landia.

I frequent this place alot since I am a UFO member and the beers here are fantastic. Food here is pretty good too. The hamburgers are fluffy and juicy, the cheesy fries are awesome, and they give you alot of chicken tenders when you order the basket.

Unfortunately, this place is always packed and you end up sharking for tables all the time, even during the weekday nights.

I wish this place allowed cigar smoking on the patio since cigarettes are allowed, but it was more of a Sugar Land Town Center mandate than their control.

For a good time with beer/food, this place is the place to be, that is if you find a table.

It is about time I made a visit to the Sugar Land location. Located in the cities Town Square shopping complex. There seems to be endless streets of generic chain pubs/eateries or shops. I think the vibe here is a bit more relaxed than the chaotic bar that is downtown. There is a long L shaped wood and copper bar, with the typical penny lined tap wall. An area for darts, a private area for parties, and a much bigger outside patio than downtown. Seems there are more TVs here as well.

Service at the bar was fine. If you knew some of the staff downtown, you will see some familiar faces behind the bar here. I was there in the late afternoon/happy hour, and the place did not seem as packed, so the waitresses seemed to be able to cover the smaller dinning area here much better. Which is a good thing. Food is typical for the chain. There are a few other items, like pork belly and a burger. The pork belly did not excite me though.

Beer selection is on par, maybe less than downtown or other locations I have been to. Still plenty of Texas locals, mix of national brands, good imports, and two casks were on in good condition. Always good in my eyes.  They also have, or at least display more liquor and wine than other locations.

I have to compare this with its downtown counterpart. I think I like this location better, cause it is not as crazy and easier to get to. Well done, this meets and surpasses my expectations.

We went to Flying Saucer last Saturday while in Sugar Land for a wedding. It is a chain, but I've never been prior to this. I liked the wild, loud, sit wherever you like scene but then some folks just got too unruly for my blood.

They have a huge beer selection, overwhelming even. My food was pretty good. I had the River Rocket which is a smoked salmon sandwich and a house salad. My bf had the turkey burger and fries which he really enjoyed.

I'm not sure if I would go back if I came across another one, but it was fun to try out.

I will come for the meat and cheese and salmon plates, but otherwise, the rest is just okay.

They do have fun trivia nights, but it tends to get really crowded inside. Don't think you're going to find a waiter/waitress all that fast.

We've started to go here on a Tuesday night for the quiz at 7.30pm.  We don't drink, and we end up getting a water and a soda - which hubby has not yet had to pay for cause he's a DD and we only end up paying tips.  It's a great arrangement that more places should do for non-drinkers!

It's a great quiz, a busy, fun place to be, and it either of us liked beer we'd be in our element, anywhere with a 4-page beer list can't be bad, eh?

Service is fantastic and the girls are much prettier than hooters girls ;)

This place just does not compare to the Flying Saucer downtown. Sitting outside in Sugar Land provides little entertainment versus downtown.  Also, the interior reminds me more of a restaurant with tables too close together and a very boring decor.  The upside is that the service is a little better at this location, though it just seems like they have more staff, not that the staff's abilities were any different.

I'm also with James P. on this no cigar smoking thing.  That just sucks.  Of course this is all the places in Town Center...

I have recently had to remove some stars from this place as they did not stand up for the rights of patrons to smoke cigars on the patio.  Sugar Land Town Center management recently imposed a rule that cigars and pipe are not allowed to be smoked on any patios in Sugar Land Town Center, however cigarettes are still allowed??? I guess in their opinion cigarettes are better for you.

My reasoning behind this is that they were offered an opportunity to be part of the legal ordeal to stop the management from imposing this ban and they chose not to.

The Flying Saucer is awesome.  It's so great to see a place that has such enthusiasm for fresh local brews be so successful.  I'm a little amused at how people in Sugar Land drag their famillies into this joint though.  Its clearly a bar people.  Leave the kids with a babysitter.

The waitresses are very knowledgable about matching tastes with beers.  They made a great suggestion to my wife who usually plays it safe with tried and true beer selections.  Speaking of that, I kind of wish the waitresses weren't so underdressed, because it makes date night a little awkward.  I feel like this concept is strong enough where they really don't need the Hooters angle.

We shared the double beer brat sandwich which was shockingly good.  The giant pretzel is freaking delish, and the smoked salmon sandwich is out of this world.  I'll be back!  I love this place.

Our church men's group met here last night and we had a great time. (This month, the men met at Flying Saucer and the women met at a Chinese buffet. I think we made a better pick...)

Service was friendly. Things were a little slow at times, but the waitresses did a good job of communicating what was going on, so they score points for that. I don't mind waiting if I don't feel like I've been forgotten, so I appreciated it when I was told it would be just a bit longer because they're changing a keg, etc. I'll also give the help points for saying "I'm handing you off to another waitress because I have too many tables." I'll forgive service slip ups when it's handled with honesty.

As for food, try the charcuterie plate for something different. The soft pretzels are a nice snack, too. However, the Saucer is all about the beer.

My only knock on the place is it's nearly impossible to get a seat. It's a welcome addition to Town Square, but you have to be in the right mood to deal with the crowds and the noise.

I am a huge fan of the Flying Saucer franchise here in Houston. It is an unpretentious and fun place to drink good beer and look at beautiful waitresses.

The location in Sugarland is managed by two great beer geeks, Javier (who moved from the downtown location) and Will. The waitresses also seem friendlier...

The beer list is comprised of beers you would normally find in Texas. Every now and then there is a gem that cannot be found at Spec's...usually in the form of something a local brewery only distributes to beer bars.

They differ a bit from the downtown location in that they have yet to offer all the themed evenings (such as Trivia night). Also, they have two cask engines versus one at the downtown location.

Oh, and they offer free parking, which downtown does not (unless you are lucky enough to find a close enough meter to stumble to after 6PM).

Lots of great beer, yes... but the service is pretty lackluster. We came here when they first opened and then again recently. The beer selection is good, but they aren't all always in stock. The waitresses seem a little annoyed all the time... why is that?

Our group of 8 was sober, eating and drinking beer, and tipping well and we still have very mediocre service. I decided to get the cheese fries for the table as an appetizer. It comes with melted cheese, bacon, and a side of ranch. At $8 I thought it would be a decent portion size, I was wrong. The size was similar to a side of fries rather than something several people could share as an appetizer. My chicken sandwich was ok and others seemed to enjoy their pizza. I realize that this is a bar first and food is not its priority, but the prices are a little steep for what you get.

I doubt we'll be back here unless a group of people want to go here. It's definitely a social drinking place that happens to serve some food and not the other way around.

    ***3.5 stars***

Many moons ago, I used to work at Sugar Land's Town Center. After being away for so long, it was nice to revisit and see some familiar establishments still standing, along with some new additions (cue in Flying Saucer.) Met up here with fellow Yelper Chelsea S. to talk about life, boys and the unfortunate side effects of a liquid Jameson diet on St. Patty's Day. (Bottom line: it messes up your shoes and you lose your dignity. Don't do it, y'all.)

First off, this place has some awesome beer offerings (Delirium tremens, Brooklyn Lager*, and Pilsner Urquell, to name a few.) There's so much to choose from that it can feel a bit overwhelming. Feel free to ask suggestions from your server, though- they all seem well versed in highlighting what's good. I ended up participating in the $3 Texas Pint deal. I had 2 pints, one from a Conroe, TX brewery and another from St.. Arnold's. They were okay, but nothing to Yelp about.

Since I was on a German food kick, I ordered the German plate. Moderately priced at $9.99, it includes 2 sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut, and a roll. As you can imagine, it was quite filling. However, I think the sauerkraut could've been a bit more sour and served with a slightly bigger portion. Additionally, the potato salad could be a bit creamier.

Luckily, weather was good (but of course humid) and we enjoyed our meal and conversation outside. Quick tip: buy a cigar from nearby Cigar Cigar and enjoy on the lovely, spacious patio.

Overall, food could use some improvement, but the pretty servers, attentive service, and fun environment make up for it. Stop by, have a Brooklyn Lager, and you can thank me later.**

*Don't you dare believe anyone who says Brooklyn Lager is East River piss water. They speak blasphemy and are not to be trusted. Just sayin'.
**A Yelp compliment is a good start!

I would like to thank  the lord for answering my prayers! FINALLY, something exciting and actually cool comes to Sugar Land, Texas. Move over sub-par bar across the street there is a new sheriff in town.  I am so excited that I feel like I should give some shout outs but I will spare you the pain. And the coolest thing is that  this Flying Saucer has stuck to formula that has made it successful rather than becoming dry and boring like most things in become in Sugar Land. So hallelujah and praise be, I finally have a fun hang out spot in Sugar Land and their is no longer a need to drive 25 minutes into H-town just to get a drink!

Located in Sugar Land Town Square, this Flying Saucer is not too much different that the original in downtown Houston. There is a huge beer selection, many of which are on tap. They have great beer specials, for example all day Sunday is $3 Texas beers. I did not recognize that there were so many awesome Texas beers and when they are offered for $3 a pint they become that much more delicious. Both have similar atmospheres and of course the waitress are happily serving there patrons in those really SEXY plaid kilt skirts, but I quickly diverge.

The aspect of this particular Flying Saucer that I love is the great food. One of the biggest complaints I have about the downtown Flying Saucer is the lack of food choice but this location really does it right. I have been here several times and have yet to have a bad choice on the menu. The saucer burger is juicy and delicious, the bratwurst served with kraut, pickles and spicy mustard are some the best that I have had in H-town, and the thin crust pizza are packed with flavor. I ordered the make-your-own pizza w/ pepperoni, prosciutto, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. I was not only surprised about how well the pizza was prepared but the quality the pizza beat that of most pizza parlors.

So needless to say I am excited about this Flying Saucer and hopefully I will get myself one of those cool saucers on the wall, since of course I will be there pretty much daily!

Sugar Land is blowin' up lately with lots of new additions. I don't think anyone who isn't from the SL can understand the seriousness of how the addition of The Flying Saucer affects our choices of going out in the best way possible.

    Don't wanna drive into town?
Want a diverse and expansive beer selection, plus wine and liquor?
For us with sensitive lungs, want a bar in Town Center that ISN'T smoke ridden inside, a la Baker St. Pub?

Yes, yes, and YES. I'm excited to have a more than decent option to go out somewhere worthwhile on the weekend that's in my neck of the woods. Walking in, it's a pretty expanisve bar, lots of knick-knacks on the walls, plates, old photos and antique-y looking articfacts on the walls. There's outside patio seating, bar seating with several TV's to catch games on, and table seating. Seating is self-service, first come, first-served and the waitresses are super attentive.

It's been awhile since I've been to the original Flying Saucer, downtown, but the last time I was there they didn't have much of a food menu. I always thought Flying Saucer-Downtown's value would up itself if they had a decent food menu. I'm happy to see that the Flying Saucer - Sugar Land has addressed that.

I've gone on two different occassions now. The first time I had a Avery White Rascal (which is realllyyy hard for me to find, so I was ecstatic!) and the River Rocket --- house-smoked salmon w/ jalapeno-pesto cream cheese, red onion, lettuce, tomato, capers, and Swiss on toasted marble rye along with their fries. Very tasty, but be warned though, the sandwich is served cold, which threw me off a bit, but it was still yummy. On the second occassion, I had the same beer (again, rare for me to find, so I went for it again) and did a make-your-own pizza w/ pepperoni, prosciutto, mushrooms, and roasted red peppers. It's served on a thin crust. I lovvvvved it! It came out piping hot and the cheese, crust and toppings were all really flavorful.

The menu also includes a selection of burgers and other sandwiches, appetitzers, like chicken tenders, spinach and artichoke dip (GET THIS), chips and queso, Bratwurst and more. They've even got soups and salads and a veggie burgers. Be sure to also check out their Farmer's Plate where you can create your own meat and cheese plate.

Flying Saucer also has different specials throughout the week, even Trivia night on Tuesdays! Also be sure to check out whatever the Fire Sale is for the day, which is only $3.00/pint.

My new favorite hangout in Sugar Land any day of the week. I'm hooked!
