I'm giving it 3 stars just because I don't think it has one 3 star review.

This place was not great by any means, its a freaking airport bar and while there are some amazing ones I've been too for some reason it doesn't surprise me that this airport would only have this. I mean come on, there wasn't even a Chillies or a Tbell? Its bound to be depressing.

Anyway, got some wine and chicken strips with honey mustard - the honey mustard was really good. The chicken strips were clearly just frozen but they did the trip after my night of drinking.

The service wasn't great but honestly if this is where you worked would you be happy to be there? No. I'm sure they see the worst kind of people. If you're nice and joke with them in the begining they seem to attened to you better.

The Bloody Mary I ordered was small, weak and flavorless.  I felt just awesome paying too much for it.

The United gates don't have any post-security bars, so one must properly time the security line and walk to gate with the imbibement of beverages.

Approximately 30 beers on tap, but only labatt's/coors light/sam adams seem to ever be on offer.  Shit grease bar food yuck.

Drink 2 beers, run to gate, sit and wait.  Meh.

This was not good, even for airport food...

I'm a positive person, maybe that's why I gave it two starts.

Seriously, I'm having a hard time finding any redeeming qualities at this oasis of aweful. I've come up with the fact that they have televisions...with sports on...that is all.

Order a drink, watch some sports, save yourself the pain of eating here...seriously.

I hate that I HAVE to give at least one star for this place... They don't deserve it.  I've been to numerous airports and have eaten at my fair share of airport restaurants in my life so far.  The Fox Sports Skybox at LaGuardia is by far the worst I have ever experienced.  I chose this because I'm a pretty big sports nut and wanted to keep up-to-date despite my traveling.  The Skybox was small and there weren't too many people there so I figured I could grab a quick bite before my flight.  It's self seating here so I sat down and ended up waiting 20 minutes for my drink order to be taken... All I wanted was water and it took another 10 minutes for my server to bring it out.  Another ten minutes later, my order was FINALLY taken.  Being from CA, I like to get my burgers lettuce wrapped.  So yeah, it was my bad for not remembering where I was in the country, but is it really that hard put extra lettuce instead of a hamburger bun??  I'm sure that bread costs more than a few extra pieces of leaves.  Anyway, she claimed that they can't do substitutions...  Although I still don't understand how extra lettuce and no bun is a substitution.  Whatever.  My food tasted alright for what seemed like a reheated (and unseasoned) hamburger patty and fries.  At least the bacon was fresh.  I had some burger and a pile of torn up pieces of hamburger bun left, which I suppose was the reason my server rolled her eyes at me when she took my plate and plastic utensils.  Could have saved that if you had just given me extra lettuce.  I asked for my check when she took my plate and all she did was tell me my total.  When she came back fifteen minutes later to take my card, I asked again for my check.  Once again, she told me my total, expecting my to willingly hand her my card, but I asked to see my check FOR THE THIRD TIME.  After a loud sigh and an eye roll, the bartender (and I assume manager) finally dropped the check off to me... Ten minutes later.  At least HE apologized for the long wait.  This is the first place I have ever considered a dine and dash... They probably would never have noticed.  So, JOSEPHINA at the Fox Sports Skybox at LaGuardia, this is the reason you received no tip and a note that said "Smile =)"

I was expecting better but there seems to be a shortage of staff. Don't expect to be seated -- Just find a seat and grab it. There are many tables and seating at the bar. The TVs are small for a sports bar unless you are sitting right at bar.

The salad was okay but I wasn't expecting much. I didn't have a chance to be asked if I wanted a refill on my drinks. The staff of two serving 27 was just too busy while the lady next to me asked for her order to be taken 3 times already. There is a lot of waiting in between but at least I was quick with my next steps and ran outta there as quickly as possible.

WTF, seriously how can you F**k up a beer? Well at Fox Sports you can! Welcome to LaGuardia and you are leaving one of the greatest places on earth and you are not sure if you should call into work and tell your boss off and quit.... Then you go to the craphole and order a beer, they F it up and you realize maybe NYC isn't all it's cracked up to be. You keep your crappy job pay $10 for your beer and go home feeling slightly annoyed..... Welcome to Fox Sports Grille... WTF other choice do you have.....

Things are lost in translation at the Fox Sports Bar.

First off, for a 'sports bar', there was a noticeable lack of sports being shown on the tiny, fuzzy TV's.  Given how cheap flatscreens are nowadays, you would think management would spring for better TV's.

The lack of entertainment was the smallest transgression, especially when compared to the complete failure of the food.  The Delta terminal in LGA is the bottom of the barrel in terms of food, where travelers are relegated to Chili's (Bad), Fast Food (Worse), and Fox Sports (Worst).

Fox Sports is where I experienced the worlds saddest turkey bacon burger in the world.  Sadder than the ending of 'Marley & Me' or a perfect sad storm of reading 'Of Mice and Men' while listening to Brighteyes on a rainy day.

This lost interpretation of a turkey burger was mushy and flavorless, completed by wilted, dried out pieces of bacon.  Yellow'd and stale shredded lettuce, and a lonely slice of under-ripe tomato completed the burger.  This picture actually does the food justice... for it tasted far worse (<a href="http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ozbbKSRgZItJ7Rt_37flPw?select=OcqDAqZI_GdOLOupLcN42A">http://www.yelp.com/biz_…</a>)

Most of the burger went abandoned, but it wasn't the most offensive thing I witnessed here.  A Southern gentleman down the bar ordered, in the most genteel way possible, a 'Bud and a shot of Jack".  The bartender produced the Budweiser, and then poured Dapper Dan an effeminate glass of Chardonnay.

Colonel Sanders and the bartender exchanged terse words -
    "You said Chardonnay!"
"I said shot of Jack man, I ain't queer".
While both sides might have been at fault, the bartender got the last verbal jab in.

After witnessing vulgarity, both human and culinary, i'd had enough.  I departed for the Delta Sky Club for my own shot of Jack Daniels, chased with a glass of Chardonnay.

Unlike the other reviewers, I had a decent experience when it comes to the service, which was friendly and prompt.  If you're looking for a truly fast eat before boarding the plane, go with the aptly named "fast food" joints down the hallway, but here you can at least sit and be waited on while watching every sports channel in existence.
The downside is the food: I order nachos with grilled chicken and they were pretty much terrible.  The chips were extremely salty and looked like they had had (surprisingly real) cheese dumped on them and stuck in the microwave for 3 minutes.  Then there was a dollop of salsa, a scoop of sour cream and (thankfully) plenty of jalapeño slices.  The chicken, I'm rather sure, was from a can, and had also been microwaved.  The damage: $12.  Which may seem like a lot, but i did get more food than I would have with the $9 combo meals from Burger King.

I wasn't looking for much, just a little food to take me on my journey!
I know the Airport is an on the go place, but Fox Sports Bar doesn't have a place to ask for orders to go. If they don't want to fill orders to go, they should just say so. I stood at the waitstaff area and ordered and was told to come back in 10 minutes.

When I returned, after paying in advance, the waiter pointed at a counter in the service area telling me "there's your bag". Wow, talk about service!

If that weren't bad enough, I realized I hadn't told them how I wanted my burger cooked. I understand the concerns about bacteria in food, but my burger was just flat out burnt, not well done.

Perhaps my $25 was well spent in the lesson that Fox Sports Bar doesn't really want the on the go customer.

Just post a sign at the entrance please SIT OR MOVE ON!!
