Absolutely fantastic! It's a local favorite. The staff is incredibly friendly. Mrs. Galloway has even given me a free drink on the house before! Great sandwiches and great atmosphere. It's a good place to hang out and enjoy "the city" without actually being there haha!
Every sandwich I've had there has been phenomenal! I highly recommend this great local stop to anyone looking to grab a quick bite!
One of my favorite local sandwich places, and I'm so glad they're open on Sundays now! Love stopping here with the bf after our Sunday morning trip to the gym. It's small, clean, and quiet, and even has a couple of TVs in the corners in case you want to catch part of the game. Â
Great sandwiches on fresh Turano bread. I love the tuna or turkey & Swiss, and the bf likes the meatball sandwich (and he's pretty picky about his marinara).
Glad the construction is now finished, making it easier to stop in here. Such a better choice than some of the more well-known sandwich chains!
It is truly amazing that Subway stays in business when there are places like this that offer wonderful sub sandwiches with fresh ingredients on some great bread. Every sub I have had here is delicious. Homemade soup is another great addition to their menu offerings. The service is prompt and very friendly. The construction is over, so this is a must find on Randall Road.
Review Source:I have been here a couple times now and  the service is always  excellent ,
I  have never had a bad sandwich. The meatball sub is great and  their bread is really good, too. Probably one of the best breads  around, I preferr this independently owned and operated  shop over any chain  any day
They have some outdoor seating, too. They're far enough off Rakow that it's not too noisy, and kinda nice to people watch.
You just get a good feeling when walking out of this place  that you received good food at a good price
Highly recommended.
Finally stopped in (new hours yay!) As they were only open when I was at work before. I believe it is family run and coming in for the first time they were friendly and helpful...and clean, giving them my order felt more like a conversation than an assembly line you are pushed through *cough* subway.
The meat and cheese is boars head which tastes fabulous and I really like the sandwich options and that everything is customizable.
Pros: Good size sandwich, decent price, Gold Peak iced tea, Caribou coffee.
Cons: Sandwich could have had a little more oil, etc. on it. The tomatoes were sliced paper thin. They have very limited hours. Challenging location for now due to the road construction going on.
I like this place and hope to be back when time permits. They also serve hot sandwiches and I hope to try them too. I had the regular size Classic sub and it was tasty.
I can't believe I haven't written a review for these folks yet. The crews really need to finish work on the intersection of Rakow and McHenry, so that it's easier to get in and out of their parking lot!
I've stopped in a couple of times now for a quick lunch or dinner because they're right on my way to and from work. I have never had a bad sandwich. The meatball sub is FANTASTIC and mentioned in the other review, their bread is really good, too. Everything is much fresher than the "think fresh" sub chain, and of much higher quality all-around.
In addition to subs, they have a variety of blended drinks and ice cream treats. With as hot as it's been lately, I've stopped by a few times just for a soft serve cone to cool off. Theirs is much better than DQ!
Every time I've been in the service has been great. Everyone's friendly and helpful, Â and the prices are really reasonable.
They have some outdoor seating, too. They're far enough off Rakow that it's not too noisy, and kinda nice to people watch.

Absolutely love going here when I need to grab a quick sandwich because the sandwiches are great! They have fresh bread and ingredients as well as home made cookies and brownies that are awesome. The owners and sandwich artists are very friendly and fast. The parking lot is a little strange to get in and out of but it is worth it. Gotta support local businesses!
