Let's just say, it is an average diner. Â The food is just as average as exterior. Â The service is usually pretty good,which is typical of a diner. Â I usually order breakfast when I am there as it is usually prettty decent. Â The one turn off is that the back room smells musty and there are water/mold spots on the ceiling tiles. Â The must creeps into the main dining room if you are close enough to it. Â Unfortunately, the sald bar is close enough to it to smell the mustiness.

This is a good diner.  It used to be the main diner I went to before I found a different one in the area that my boyfriend & I prefer.  The food is good.  (You're basic diner.) The staff us usually friendly, though occasionally slow. Prices are good. The diner is a nice size so it's never cramped or overcrowded.  Also, easy to park in the parking lot. (Wouldn't recommend the muffins though...stick w/ the hot food.)  They have great cocoa  :)
I've had lunch here a few times and it's always been fine. Nothing special. I think maybe the Alexis Diner nearby might be better. Plus it sounds like they have better matzoh ball soup...
The servers are usually nice and generally attentive. The other day I called and ordered some take out. I went to pick it up and it was ready pretty fast - maybe 15 minutes after I called. I asked for an extra little container to put my french fries in apart from my sandwich and they charged me $.50. I was kinda put off by that but then I noticed that the french toast I ordered was only $4.95 and I forgot all about it.
Decent food, pretty good service, and really convenient to both the 87 and the 84.
I went to this diner last week in  memory of my grandmother who passed away recently.  The whole family stopped in after her burial because it was my grandmothers favorite diner in Newburgh.  I ordered the chix cordon bleu wrap. It was kind of dry. The service was good since my coffee cup was always full.

Â The portions were huge - the Greek salad looked big enough to serve a family of four - and the prices were reasonable. Â The food however - well - nothing to write home about. And yes, I know it's a diner - but still - the matzo ball soup was bland with one HUGE matzo ball in it. Â Big matzo balls are fine - matzo balls practically the size of the bowl they are in are just absurd. Â The turkey burger was flat and lifeless. Â Usually if I'm in the mood for diner I either go here or to the Alexis on the other side of town, but it's been a while, and I was really kind of surprised. Â The service was good , but they seemed shorthanded. Â I've eaten here in the past and the food has been much better, so I'm really hoping this was a glitch.
Review Source:the "manager-CASHIER" couldnt figure out how to use the computer correctly, and instead of charging us 11, we got charged 22 and he refused to change it saying that the computer has problems. Â I have never heard such an excuse before. NOt only was he unwilling to correct the problem, but he was redirecting the blame at us, and talking to us in a less than professional manner. Â The food is not that great to have to endure this kind of behavior. Â They need to revisit customer service 101.
