Chain Cincinnati chili shop, it has a strange entrance but opens to a decent sized dine in area, you can eat in or take away.
Chili allows for quick and prompt orders so it shouldn't take more than a few minutes to get your food.
Chili in Cincinnati is a rivalry, and most people have a defined favorite. Mine happens to be Dixi Chili, but when I need to grab a quik bite on my lunch break this will suffice (especially when I have gift cards!).
I've lived in the Cincinnati area for almost a year and have only had Gold Star Chili from the frozen food section! As of today, I've been to a Gold Star Chili restaurant, but still haven't tried the chili! Too hot today for chili...I had a grilled chicken burrito instead. Very fresh and tasty...bites of chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese and a ranch chipotle dressing. I sprinkled some hot sauce on for a little kick.
I was surprised that it's a sit down place, unless you want a take out order. I expected an order at the counter & someone brings it to your table or you go back and get your order when it's ready.
This particular location is in a strip center and has a bit of an odd entrance (an enclosed kind of alcove before you enter the restaurant), but it was very clean and the service was prompt and polite!
