I also think that this restaurant provides an exceptional value for anyone in search of a nice place to eat on the Northwest side.
While Daria is right about there only being one waitress, let's keep in mind that the economy has slowed down quite a bit  since her review and I've already seen some other Polish restaurants pack it. in.  While I am not Polish, I lived above one of Chicago's landmark Polish dining spots for 7 years, so I have some idea of what should be acceptable.
Try the Ukrainian borscht and don't forget the Chicken Devolay/ (aka Chicken Kiev) Â Salads are included with most meals and a sliver of cake usually makes it out after the waitress clears your plate. (Although I don't recall this happening on my last visit.)
There is a parking lot in front. as well as metered parking on Lawrence Ave.
Good food and service. Prices are also reasonable for the amount of food you get. Â They definitely need more than one waitress though. Granted the restaurant is small but one waitress can only do so much w/o passing out or having a chance to go to the ladies room. Â The soups are homemade and delicious! Â The entrees are just as good and you get two different side salads. Â You have to try the compote. (it's homemade juice, w/o the preservatives).
