This place is bad we r the only people in here guy was just sitting on his laptop waiting for us to order it's been 16 mins to make one hookah. Hookah didn't hit correctly, coals were kinda ok, nothing to brag about, were wood coals like nour coals, all in all not worth the money to go back, the customer service was the only thing that wasn't bad, the guy working at the time was cool, and every time we asked for coals mouth tips or tooth picks didn't hesitate roll his eyes or anything which was very nice.
Review Source:I was hesitant on coming here due to some of the poor reviews but decided to just come see for myself since I was in the area. Came in here with just 1 other person and we were the only ones in there which was okay since it was early and we weren't planning on staying for too long. The service is kind of slow especially since we were the only customers in there at first. Took a while for them to bring our hookah out.
I didn't really care for the hookah. Just after a few minutes of smoking, it started getting really harsh to the point that my friend who's been smoking for years started coughing and didn't want to smoke it anymore so she ended up just going outside to smoke a cigarette. We got the blue mist which was really good at first before the harshness. One thing that has never happened to me before that happened here was, periodically when I'd take a longer drag, water would come up from the hose into my mouth and it would taste pretty disgusting. We didn't get coal service and our coals were dying and getting way too ashy.
I didn't like that I was trying to sit there and enjoy myself, but had to pay in the middle of everything. I've never had to do that since I always pay after, but I guess that's how this place runs things. That definitely made me feel a little rushed since I had barely even started smoking!
The place is clean. Nice music but it's definitely too low. I understand that it's just a lounge and it's a good place to talk but I felt like I had to talk in a low tone so that I would not bother anyone else by me, since the music was too low to balance anything out.
The pricing is okay..... It was $15 for 1 hookah for 2 people, without a refill. This is including the $1 fee if you use a credit card. So beware to anyone who doesn't carry cash on them. Also they charge $1 extra if you want to mix flavors, which kind of sucks since I've been to other hookah lounges that mixed flavors for free.
Eh. Most likely will not be back.
Coming from Vegas we have tons of great hookah lounges and this one has been recommended to me by family members so every time I've gone down to visit I have revisited my first visit was perfect love the atmosphere and the staff but the the 5 other times I have been there, along with times friends of mine went after I recommended it, we all have gotten sick afterwards. Â Its unfortunate because it is a cool place. Â I do not get sick from any other lounges except this one.
Review Source:The Manager is trying to save the business by bothering me with multiple messages and comments t change my mind. It's enough of the explanation. We paid the bill and left. I did not owe the shop any money. First impression is ruined, damage is done. Thank you so much for welcoming me to the "American system". I worked in service sector in Asia and what I encountered in Harbor Hookah is not service at all. Not worth me paying even a penny for tip. Key to your business strategy: Retrain your staff...Seriously
Review Source:My first time coming here and I was highly disappointed. The service was extremely slow and the guy working there was super stingy. He only gave us 2 mouth pieces for 2 hookahs we had to keep asking him to give us more mouth pieces and he only gave us one extra. We had a party of 4 and 3 mouth pieces. It is very unhygienic to share mouth pieces even though we were friends. The employee constantly went to the back of the lounge and did not even attend to any of our needs. My party just wanted one hookah to share but the employee said that we must get two or else he would charge us $10 extra if we just use one hookah. I mean really, are you serious? They are already charging $13 for each hookah but is forcing us to get two? We didn't plan on staying long so we just wanted one hookah machine.... The place was very empty and the ambiance was okay... there are definitely better hookah places in the Orange County with better services and better pricing...
The hookah was pretty bad. One hookah set had way too litte smoke and the other was way too harsh. The quality control is pretty bad.
By the way, I only gave it one star because yelp does not let me give this place 0 stars.
I came in here for the first time when it was busy. It didn't help that the owner was not all there when trying to assist a large volume of customers. It was really hard to breathe that night and service was very slow. The place wasn't as clean. Despite all this, they serve some really good hookah, provide a nice, cozy atmosphere which keeps me coming back for more.
Review Source:This place sucks! First off the tender was rude and the "free wifi" wasnt even free! And he never came around to replace the coals. Til the point that we had to leave. Highly recommend you go else where. You will be discriminated if your not the same race as them or friends with the owner.
Review Source:Cuteass hookah lounge. They have black lights so girls- don't wear white undies, unless you wanna ;)
Like many hookah lounges, there are a lot of young cats here. The venue was clean, and all the LCD screens and lights made the place almost like a poppin club scene (without the people dancing of course).
Check-in and get a free drink!
I can't believe that I'm actually seeing great reviews about this place because I think this place was absolute garbage. It wasn't even that busy and it took almost 10 minutes for them to get our order, 15 minutes from them to serve our sodas and our two hookahs. What was worse about my experience is that it took 45 minutes for coal service even after I asked them TWICE!! They will definitely not get business from me or my friends again...
Review Source:First off let me start off by saying very NICE hookah lounge! Everything was very clean including the bathroom! Comfy couches, good music, great ambiance and the hookahs were top notch..not to mention the owner showed great hospitality. I would most def. recommend this place to everyone.
Review Source:Tie for the first best hookah lounge I have ever been to!
Great music playing with Music videos playing on tv's all around. Comfy and not trashed couches to relax and smoke the hook. Amazing service. Will probably never go to any other hookah lounge again. I found the spot.
Tried Blackberry / Blackberry Mint. Was phenomenal!!!
Probably the best hookah lounge I've ever been to! Â
My friends and I came here on a Wednesday night. Â It was pretty empty at first, but it got super packed by 11PM. Â The lounge is SOOO CLEAN! Â Nice chairs and sofas, clean bathrooms, awesome music, and clean hookahs. Â One thing I hate about most hookah lounges is that their couches are so disgusting and beat up. Â And you sink so far into them when you sit down. Â But, their seats at Harbor Hookah are super nice. Â They give you playing cards too which is nice. Â The owner is super nice, told me that he's only been in business for about 5 months.
Price for the hookahs is cheap for the atmosphere, quality of the hookah, and service. Â $12-$13 per hookah and $6 for refills (and they last for a pretty long time). Â Same as every place, 2 people per hookah. Â But, we went with 3 people, and the owner didn't force us to get a second one. Â He just asked us to purchase a drink if we weren't going to get another hookah. Â Which is understandable since this IS a business. Â The drinks were $1.50-$2 for water and soda. Â
The one negative thing I would say about this place (which is why I give 4 stars) would be getting the staff's attention for new coals. Â Since this place is still new, they probably don't have enough to have a coal person. Â We had to get the owner's attention for new coals when we needed them. Â It looked like it was just him and one female employee. Â Â
I live about 40 minutes away from this place, but would make the drive for a great hookah lounge like this one.
K at first I was going to give this place 4 stars... but then I stopped and thought.. Â Only four? They are on top of making sure you always have good coals, it not getting all clogged and stale added such a relax chill vibe there. They remember your faces too so you feel like a celebrity when you walk in the door with all the welcome welcome hey how you been, how is blah blah going for you. They truly know what the word hospitality means here. And I had a little mini hookah bubble competition going on last time I was there. So that was more fun added to the splendor. Always fully enjoy myself there. Plus the music is good so if you wanna sing and dance till your heart is content its totally the place to do it. So dont be shy, come on by. This place really is a neat little spot. So fortunate to have found it.
Thanks harbor hooka for all the laughs I have had at your place. There will be plenty more to come.
I thought this place was very cute and decor was appropriate for a hookah bar. It's barely open for 3 months so like most establishment, it'll be clean. I thought the hookah was great, husband wasn't a fan. But we enjoyed the hospitality, customer service, charcoal service and the good music videos and music... sometime you just can't have trance, Arabic music, Persian music or rap in the background during your whole duration. It just gets old with some of the cafes. They do offer stamp card, double stamp on Mondays... happy hours... It was hard finding them for the first time because Google took us somewhere past Sutra. It's Fair and Harbor sharing the same parking lot at Hottie's Pizza....
I'd have to be honest, the service is super slow and i wish they just break their charcoal up a bit... makes it burn fast to put 2 logs of charcoal on a head... so far, it's the only hookah cafe that does this besides the ones in Vegas...
The staff and owner is more than friendly and accommodating.
Best Hookah Lounge in OC and you must check it out:)
We went to the Harbor Hookah Lounge for the first time last Friday, its a new place in Costa Mesa (finally!!!!!) and we decided to check it out. The place was crowded and everyone had fun. Its very classy, neat, extremely clean (never seen hookah lounges that clean before), great music, friendly staff. The best part that you sit on the comfortable couches, play cards or domino, chat with your friends and smoke Blue Mist (my fav flavor:). This place is perfect for a date or just a friends' night out. Somebody had a birthday party there.. They even have a fireplace and cool lighting system! They give customers Free bubbles and stamp cards to get free hookah in the future! What a customer service. Coals were changed on time, shisha was top notch and they made sure that we were happy and enjoyed our time.
Look no more, seriously, you will love this place:)
