Consistently good and fresh with a staff that aims to please. Portions are decent size on salads, but could be bigger. Their sandwiches and lasagna are enormous. Actually too darn big for me.
My only gripe is they get too jammed and miss on things like including dressing for salads or utensils. Small requests are always granted, but they often forget to fulfill them. However, they always make good on those instances and they are so nice about it. A+ for effort. Operationally, they'd save $ and have less stress if they got it right from the start.
In the end, I highly recommend and will keep coming back. 4 stars I the above improves.
And, of course, now that I've totally raved about their new dinner service, it's gone just as quickly. Â However, I've heard word that they have something BIG coming up on the horizon that will hopefully start sometime this fall if everything goes according to plan. Â I'm really excited about it, and can't wait until they share the news with everyone.
Review Source:I've never actually been to the location. Â Our office orders in from this place weekly and it is one of our favorites to order from. Â First the bread is phenomenal. Â The motz is ridiculously fresh. Â Everything I have ordered has been nothing but superb. Â The fact that they offer such strict gluten free options are a godsend for those in my office as they can now partake of great sandwiches.
Service is stellar. Â Food is fabulous. Â THIS is a sandwich shop worth coming to again and again and we do. Â I have even brought home a sandwich to my husband (prosciutto & motz) and he's eaten it without an issue. Â This from a man who does not eat cold cold cut sandwiches.
So far, so good. My office is located close to Hoboken Farms so we've only experienced the delivery. Â Can't comment on parking or "long lines," but we definitely make sure we call ahead at least an hour and a half. Â Sometimes the staff can be rude on the phone, but I'm sure the hectic pace can contribute to the frustration.
The "Jr." versions of the sandwiches are a great portion and reasonably priced. Â So far the Hoboken Plunge is my favorite. The brisket is so tender and juicy. You def. don't need to order addt'l aus jus on the side as they put extra on the sandwich. Â Great flavor and not too salty. Â The Glorious Mess is also a contender. Again, a brisket sandwich but the pepperoncini add a nice kick
We definitely will be ordering from then again - just a word to the wise - if you work or live in the area and request delivery service, definitely call far in advance. Â The delivery guys are generally great and if you give them enough prep time you wont be disappointed!
Hoboken Farms Sandwich Shop is absolutely my favorite sandwich. Â I ordered "Jimmy's Guitar Bar" earlier today (fresh roast turkey, the best and freshest mozzarella, pesto aioli, and red wine vinegar with romaine leaf lettuce, shaved red onion on a baguette). Â It was truly delicious. Â I ordered the "large size" and it was enough for two people. Â I was amazed by the generous amount of turkey. Â When coupled with the mozzarella, it's a sandwich I keep ordering again and again. Â
A couple of weeks ago, I noticed a hearty sandwich being grilled on the panini press...the work of art is "La Zafra-Brisket Cuban". Â It is incredibly juicy and I can honestly say it is the best sandwich that I have ever had. Â
Besides great sandwiches, the place has a really cool vibe to it. Â After you order your sandwich (and deciding which other homemade tasty treats and breads to buy), check out the record collection (yes, vinyl records) and listen to your classic vinyl tracks on the record player that sets this sandwich shop aside from the others. Â What a treat! Â I'm sure you'll agree.
Decided to visit several times before reviewing. Â The sandwiches have been consistently delicious, if not a revelation. Â Particularly good is the Hoboken Plunge, with slow-cooked, shredded brisket, good mozzarella and beautifully caramelized onions with an au jus on a crusty roll. Â The meatball hero and braised chicken thigh "Heartful of Lourdes" sandwiches are also very good. Â As others have said, service is a bit slow and parking could be better, but this is a very worthwhile place to grab a hearty and delicious sandwich for lunch.. Â .

I understand the place opened up recently but to wait over 30 mins to get a sandwich is not good business. Their famous mozzarella doesn't compare to any real Italian deli's I have been to in JC/Hoboken. Their bread is authentic Italian (crispy yet chewy). They are skimpy on the cold cuts. Their prices are expensive for what you get. I had the Caputo Worldwide (proscuitto, ham, salami *I opted out of*, "famous" mozz and asiago cheese. After waiting so long anything would have tasted good. They do overdo it with the dressing. For the prices they charge (nearly $9 for a sandwich) I think they better get their act together before it's too late. It has potential if it had seating inside, the decor was better, quicker preparation (granted they are still new) and a bit lower prices. For now I would go down the st to Zappia's where they load up the sandwiches and prices are worth it.
