pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the fruits and vegetables in my Mango Tango with vegetarian chicken. Â my fiance loved the flavor of the garlic broccoli with beef. Â also ordered the avocado salad and it came with yummy spring greens -- not just iceberg lettuce. Â will definitely order from here again.
to the comment above: Â doesnt really seem like the kind of place you go to eat at. more of a take out joint. Â it's small and reminds me of the chinese/mexican takeout places in queens. Â definitely wouldn't expect real plates here!
Overall, I like this place, but there is room for improvement. Â One, eat-in tables should be cleaner and scrubbed/washed down a regular basis. Â Two, when eating in, food should not be served in styrofoam or aluminum containers but real plates. Â Past the negative, there's a lot of good going on here. Â One, the staff is very pleasant and friendly. Â Two, they have the most amazing, healthy rice (ask for the brown rice, even though it's not your typical brown rice) and they don't upcharge you for it. Â It's a purply color; I think it might be referred to as "black rice" which I read recently has very high levels of antioxidants. Â Anyway, lunch specials are reasonable. Â I think $6 or $7 for a meal plus soup or salad. Â You can also get sushi there which I haven't yet tried personally but friends say it's excellent.
