Summit Food Market

I'm from the Short Hills area and have been going to Summit Food for Y E A R S.  Ignore the folks with the bad reviews...yes, it's a little pricey and yes, it's look is def. old school but the owners are incredibly sweet and the food is excellent, in variety and fresh made daily.  Unfortunately, after Summit Medical Group moved to New Providence in 2010 Summit Food lost a lot of its regulars.  But...they're hanging in there with a large and fresh salad bar, daily specials concentrated in the comfort food area and hearty soups.  They have a macaroni salad that my mother makes me pick up for her before my trips down to visit her in Virginia.  I go to Summit Food EVERY time I eat in Summit.

Three dollars for a mealy apple? No.way. This place is way too expensive for what you get. The proprietor or counter assistant- whoever it is, is extremely rude. Avoid this place.

Very short opening hours, and the one time I've been inside it was remarkably dingy for Summit.
