Had a work lunch here and had the opportunity to try a bunch of different items on the menu, from Eggplant / Mozz appetizer, Calamari, to Stracciatella Soup, and the fussilli pasta dish. I think all the dish's lacked some seasoning, maybe as simple as adding just a little of salt and pepper.
In general all of the food was okay, but given the location and the prices I expected more. Service was good, restaurant is very nice, but the food is nothing to rave about. Try Amore's in Wayne, NJ for a comparison.
This place is consistantly packed after 6pm and for good reason. It boasta a fusion Italian menu with a nice selection of wines.
The restaurant is cozy, clubby, friendly all around winner.
Parking can be an issue as it's street only. And I do wish they would switch up the specials every now and again
Ate dinner here with my husband and mother-in-law on a Friday night in September '12. Â The food was good, but not exceptional. Â The highlight was a roasted eggplant dish we shared as an appetizer. Â I found the guitarist meandering around the room and serenading tables to be quite awkward! Â All in all, I think there are better Italian options in the Morris/Union County area.
