I went to La Focaccia with my girlfriend this evening expecting to have an enjoyable evening and a good meal. Â Unfortunately this was not the case. Â While my special, a veal chop, was very good, my girlfriend's sea bass tasted very fishy. Â We returned it and ordered another veal chop expecting it to also be good . Â However, it came under cooked and tough with tendons. Â When we mentioned this to the waiter he was a bit snippy about it but offered to have it cooked a minute more. Â Ten minutes later it came back extremely over cooked. Â When we brought this to the waiter's attention, he started to tell us off. Â This was extremely shocking so we spoke with the manager who was quite unpleasant himself but said that he would make another meal. Â We chose a pasta which came back so-so but my girlfriend was so hungry she ate it anyhow. Â During this whole time we were ignored by the waiter and manager. Â It was extremely awkward and unpleasant. Â Needless to say what we had hoped to be a nice evening out was ruined. Â
[Just as a side note, they charged for two veal chops.]
Had dinner there with friends Saturday night. Â The food is always very good and specials are wonderful. Made a big mistake and did not ask the price for the veal paillard special. $42 , overpriced. The restaurant is on the pricey side but this is gouging. Live and learn, ask for the prices of the specials.
