Very good value. Â We were in town for a swim meet and decided to try the BBQ for lunch. Â We sat in the bar area so that I could watch my Missouri Tigers play Arkansas on ESPN. Â The bartender is also the waiter for the bar area, and he was happy to change the big screen to ESPN for me. Â We had a few beers and hung out for about an hour and a half. Â
During that time I enjoyed the fine selection of beers. Â I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, which was very good. Â Pulled pork is hard to mess up, but some places manage to do that. Â Not here, though. Â The meet was tender, juicy, with good smoke flavor and a nice rub of spices.
My friends each tried a different meat and everyone enjoyed there meals. Â
I would eat here again the next time I'm in town.
I was truly impressed with the food here. Â Being from Georgia I was nervous about eating BBQ in Oregon. Â We had a catered meal so I didn't get to try various items but the pulled pork was better than some that I've had in the South. Â I give them 5 stars because they actually serve sweet tea and it was great too. Â Cant wait to eat there again.
Review Source:Went here for lunch and was not overly impressed with the food. Â Had Beef Brisket, Eggs and Hashbrowns with a side of Sliced Oranges. Â The Eggs were a bit greasy but cooked correctly at over-medium. Â The Beef Brisket was a bit fatty but cooked just right. Â The Hashbrowns were very disappointing as the had NO flavor to them and, yes, a bit greasy. Â Orange Slices were like they were cut up a day or two previous and put in the fridge- Â YUK! Â I had an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade) and it was one of the better I have had. Â Service was very good and the waitress knew her business. Â Restroom was clean as was our booth and the general overall appearance of the place. Â A little sad the food was not quite up to par. Â I have tried the West 11th Avenue site before some time ago with good results, as an FYI.
