Yummy food and cool decor - My boyfriend and I ordered the Old School burger, and I got a raspberry lemonade (Raspberry Smirnoff, lemon juice, and simple syrup). Both our plates were completely clean and the drink was quite tasty!! Definitely a good choice for a layover or if you've arrived too early for a flight.

Airport restaurants keep getting better, it's true, but most of the offerings out there remain basic pub grub and salads.  Even when you find the rare eatery that isn't part of a national chain, you can probably expect some variation on burgers, wings and fries.

And Hot Dish has plenty of that on the menu, to be sure (although one of the burgers is a Juicy Lucy, so props to them for that).  No, what will make me seek out Hot Dish again in the future is their namesake.  Yes, you can get hot dish here.  Real hot dish.  Ground beef, corn, cream of mushroom soup, topped with tater tots and cheese and baked in the oven.

That's just awesome.  And a delightful nod to the region.

If you want to go a little fancier, they also offer a hot dish with chicken and wild rice (plus the mushroom soup, tots and cheese).  The husband chose this, and I thought it was mighty tasty.

The decor is pure 60's kitchen, with an emphasis on kitsch.  It helped me forget I was in an airport.

I went there with a friend and was excited by the menu...the food was sub par...my burger (stuffed burger) was overcooked and the toppings were lacking flavor. Granted there isnt any competition if you are meeting a friend for a layover...but really...burnt burger? And my friend ordered the hot dish and that didnt look up to the minnesota standard.
