My mom and her husband don't hit the ball out of the park with their choices on dining out.
Thankfully, I had my handy dandy iphone yelp app and talked my mom into trying a new spot for Chinese.
Am I glad I did! Â
Generous portions of freshly made yummy goodness, very inexpensive and the people there are just great. Â
Now, this isn't the best Chinese I've ever had, but, by golly, it's the best Chinese food I've had in Fort Myers, hands down.
We had the sesame chicken, pork fried rice and Chicken Chow Mei Fun. Â The Chicken Chow Mei Fun was amazing and I highly recommend trying it, folks. Â It's a rice noodle with veggies and chicken. Â YUM!
The sesame chicken would have been absolutely delicious if I'd only remembered to get the sauce on the side. Â The sauce was good; not too sweet. Â However, there was a bit too much of it and the chicken wasn't as crispy as it could have been had I gotten it on the side.
The pork fried rice was also very yummy.
Overall, I was very pleased and plan to ask to go back next time we're in the area visiting.
This isn't the best Chinese food that I've had in my life, however, it has been the best Chinese food that I've had in Fort Myers. I would give this place a 4.5 but seeing how the other two reviewers rated it low I feel I have to make up for them a bit.
I've ordered take-out from them a handful of times and they have been fast and consistent in quality each time. The crab rangoon is nothing to brag about, but their pot stickers are standard and their main dishes are excellent. My personal favorite of theirs is the Sesame Chicken. By the time I get home, 12 MILES AWAY (yes, I drive that far just to get my Chinese fix from them), the chicken is no longer crispy, so I pop it in a hot oven for 5 minutes and then it's absolutely amazing. I recently added their Tasty Donuts to my order on a whim, I ended up eating half of them (10 to an order for about $3.50) on the car-ride home. Delicious.
I recommend them.
