This pub was a quite unpleasant, sparse and somehow simultaneously dingy-but-brightly lit. It seems to be the hangout for local drunks. There's a pool table in the back, and a juke box blasting classic rock.

They're an "Irish pub", but they don't have Guinness on draft?

I stopped in here around 430pm on a weekday with my boyfriend after an 8mile hike in the Highlands, desperate to take a load off and enjoy a beer after a strenuous day.

We stepped in to find an awkwardly under-furnished space, two groups of middle aged guys who had clearly been drinking for hours, and Journey's "Don't stop believing' was BLASTING from the jukebox. 1 guy was singing along at the top of his lungs, attempting - unsuccessfully - to encourage everyone else in the bar to sing along with him. Red flags all around...

We sat down and ordered beers. A series of even more atrocious songs came on the jukebox. The one drunk singing enthusiast continued shouting in our direction trying to get us to sing along with him. I looked over twice with an unamused stare, hoping he might get the picture and tone it down, and instead was met with some ogling stares and adolescent remarks from him and his friends.

At this point we had only been there about 10 minutes, but my boyfriend and I looked over at each other, chugged down our beers, and got the EFF out of this hell hole. I will never be back!!
