One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The steaks are delicious, and more than a fair price. The meals come with a giant salad, steak, side veggies, and delicious baked or mashed potatoes. Plus, the service is impeccable. The other day, the manager came by to pick up our extra plates. We were confused for a moment because he wasn't in the same uniforms as the waiters - and then he introduced himself. On our way out, the line chefs at the salad bar said goodbye. Amazing place!

Bread was good but butter tasted like jalapeño. The waitress said that's what happens if they get busy and make the butter by the nachos.   Really?  That's very disappointing. Spinach salad with beef was good.  My husband said the baked potatoe was exceptional. Way to much money for just being okay.

The waitress cleaned up a spill on her hands and knees and then proceeded to handle food. I asked her politely to wash her hands before serving me and my elderly mother. She turned us over to another waiter. Unfortunately, she still had the tables next to us and was in the area constantly. Uncomfortable to say the least. The new waiter was fine; the food was good but expensive. We had halibut and chips and a Santa Fe salad. No drinks - hard or soft, no appetizers and no dessert. Bill came to $38 before tip.  I called the manager today and he said he would talk to her and the staff.

Yet another update on my original review. After getting in touch with Michael, the GM at this location, I brought the family in for another go. I didn't say a thing about my previous experience, just proceeded to have an absolutely amazing steak. The steak was cooked to perfection, juicy and tender. The staff was cheerful and attentive. It turns out Michael took the night off so I didn't get a chance to speak with him after dinner. The Keg definitely rocks and earned my repeat business through their hard work to correct a previous unpleasant experience. Good on you Michael and the entire staff at Lynnwood Keg!

My husband and I went to dinner here last night for the first time. We were very pleased with the service we received and the food was very good. The general manager gave us our dessert for free; likely because it was our first visit and they wanted to make a good impression. Some may feel that the prices are a bit high but we felt it was worth it for the overall experience. We plan to go back again in the future.

The customer service was exceptional!!!! We were there for the steak and crab special... And even though they forgot to bring out the crab right away, (which is 10 bucks extra mind you) they still got it out to us piping hot! and guess what?! They didn't charge us for it!!!! They really aim to please! Great environment, happy guests, and impeccable staff. Truly a great experience for me and the man.... I will dine there again.

This place has fantastic  food. I looked it up on
Urban legend. It also has wonderful service and good ambiance. Try it for a great eating experience.

I ordered the Filet Minon cooked medium with mixed vegetables and this had to be the worst quality filet I've ever had. The meat was hardly tender. Yes, a hardly tender filet!! Judging by everyone's plates I sat with they were on par with a Chili's or TGI Fridays. Although I can be much better appetizers at Chili's. The service was also rude and impatient to my guests. I would not ever go to this place again. The only thing good about it was they have a decent interior. I liked the lighting.

I changed my review from 1 to 2 stars since the owner reached out. That was a nice gesture and I appreciate it.

My sister and I sat in the bar for a drink and a quick bite. Service was super amazing! We shared the nachos which were ok. Just chips with melted cheese and a few toppings. Definitely not bad, but not super amazing. Our drinks were delicious- strong and sweet. The bar is a great spot to stop for a bite and a drink!

My favorite Steakhouse in the area so far. I go here at least once a week and the service is really good to.  I obviously get a steak here ;)  and usually the filet. It's easy to get to and plenty of parking.  They do reservations as well so you can call ahead.

Even with a new waitress, and having to wait a bit longer for our food, The Keg is by far one of our favorite places to eat. The manager was extremely polite and took care of us above and beyond as usual. Great place!

A buddy of mine who absolutely needs to eat a steak at lunch treated me here recently.

Service was impeccable.  Attentive but not hovering.  Seated promptly, drink order taken quickly,  etc......  very efficient and fast,  Just what you need when you are on a limited timeframe,

I like a nice ceasar's salad every now and then and this tasted freshly made versus one they made an hour ago in anticipation for the lunch rush.

Ordered a Rueben with sweet potato fries.  Perfect mix of meat, cheese, and sauerkraut.  The fries were outstanding as well.

Would most certainly come back here given the opportunity.  I love great service!

Does anyone remember when The Keg had their amazing salad bar?  I know I'm not that old... They used to have the best spinach salad ever but just like everything in childhood..it slowly disappears...lol

Things sure have changed but than again I thought The Keg was fine dining when I was a kid. The food here is okay, the steaks and appetizers are decent. They have a happy hour here now and it's not bad, there are a lot of hit and misses though. The sliders are a little dry and the calamari was a little disappointing. Nothing really worth coming back for. Bottom line The Keg is a chain restaurant with okay steak but for that price I'd rather go to Jaks Grill, cheaper than The Met but way better than The Keg.

The service however, is wonderful. They are very attentive and pretty fast. Also randomly enough the have some fantastic cake here! Try the chocolate cake, it's pretty amazing.

Service is great and atmosphere is cozy, but even with great management and well trained staff who are intent in making their customers feel welcomed, I cannot give them a 3 due to the quality of the food and value. If you are looking for an okay steak house for a large family gathering, at a close by location this might be the place for you, but if you are craving the most amazing steak quality you can find, you might as well drive a little further to Seattle or Bellevue, as you will find much better steak houses there. The bread is too doughy, the butter is just regular butter, I personally like herbed butter at a steak house. The vegetables are not crisp, nor are they the amazing quality, fresh farmer's market large vegetables you can find all over the Pacific Northwest. My steak was quite disappointing, given that that I ordered a blue cheese steak and the blue cheese that came with it was overcooked and not real blue cheese. They are also way over priced for the food quality you receive at an average of 30 dollars a steak. The manager was extremely friendly and committed to service. The décor and ambiance were great, and it was extremely clean.Overall, I give them a 2 as there are much better steak houses around the area. If you are looking for value and not wanting to drive to far to Seattle or Bellevue,  you might as well stick to Outback.

I am giving them 3 stars because I was impressed with the service....very impressed.  But the food was at best a 2 (with the exception of the mocha ice cream cake at the end, which was nice).

Lunch for 3 people, no drinks (2 coffees), no appetizers, including tip, was right on $100.  For that amount you would be much better off going someplace like John Howie, Daniel's Broiler, or even the Tulalip Casino.  Here's some of the food:
Crab cakes - had very little crab, mostly filler
Filet w/Bleu Chees - the steak was flavorless, and the bleu cheese seemed a bit off
Prime Rib - Not too bad, although it was cold.  Horseradish was nice though.
Bread - very starchy, not comparable to even Outback.

Service was excellent, though, and you can tell there is a manager there who takes seriously his role in providing a great service experience to customers.

I usually don't go to chain restaurants and rarely bother commenting on them. However, I was blown away by the quality of service. It was obvious the whole staff was well-trained in customer service, very professional and courteous from start to finish.

Food was good, not great. But with top notch service, a solid dinner option. I can't believe I'm giving 4 stars to a chain, but they earned it.

This is THE place that I go with my family for a quality piece of steak....it's fabulous! I Love this place...but it is pretty pricey.....that's why I am a part of their birthday club! So for your birthday, you can choose one of their classic dinners (I think it is like A $25 value). I always stick with their Prime Rib Classic. It comes with seasonal vegetables and your choice of side (I always end up picking the Twice-Baked potato because it is great to bring home....it's basically mashed potatoes that have chives, butter, and bacon bits in it that is placed into a potato skin and baked). The steaks are marvelous! I love a good piece of meat that can be grilled to perfection...I love my meat medium rare....so good! They will also give horseradish and au jus sauce as well :). Delicious! I can't get enough of their steaks! But before you even get to the main course, you are greeted with a warm loaf of bread. And you can even ask for seconds! Then I always start off with a Caesar salad....yum! They know just the right amount of dressing to put on their salads :D Love this place! At least sign up for the birthday list and come then....that's what my family does!

    Pros:
    - delicious, high quality steaks
    - classic American dinners
    - excellence service every time

    Cons:
    - be prepared to spend some moolah! At least $25 a plate

    Why I gave it a 4...
This place has amazing steaks! This is what they're known for! They are a bit expensive, but you really do get what you pay for here. High quality stuff. And if there is ever a problem, they will remake your food of course! Definitely sign up for their birthday list to get a free meal with your birthday! You just have to use it during your birthday month :D

We hadn't eaten at The Keg in quite some time, but for some reason it just sounded like the right thing to do the other night.  The first order of business was to inquire about nutrition informtion because I'm diabetic and have to base insulin on carb intake.  So before even being seated I asked if they had the nutrition information available.  The manager happened to be standing in the lobby when I asked and she said she thought they might have it for the menu before it was revamped but that most things would still be the same.  She hurried off to see if she could find it.  She came back shortly with the information in hand.

After being seated, our waiter Jeremy noted that I was looking at the nutrition information and I explained that I was diabetic so I needed to calculate the carbs for what I ordered.  I was very impressed when he later asked if it was okay to bring the bread to the table.  Not all waiters would be that considerate!

My husband is a heavy drinker... of diet soda.  It's hard for waiters to keep up with him sometimes, mostly they fail.  Not Jeremy, he was on top of it all night.  Even right up to the end he made sure his glass was full at all times.

As for the food, we were impressed with all of it.  I was especially pleased with their tiny desserts.  It's not often I can order dessert but I had the little passion fruit (I think) creme brulee.  It was so cute!  It was just a few tablespoons of dessert, served with a strawberry, two apple slices, and an orange slice.  The perfect dessert for a diabetic.  I was in Heaven.  :

Our meal was everything a meal out should be, especially when you are spending that much money.  Yes it is expensive.  But clearly the service was better than anything I've experienced elsewhere in a long time.  I won't wait so long before returning this time!

From the friendly smile that greeted us at reception I knew we were going to have a great dining experience. The wait staff was exceptional; courteous, attentive, interested in our experience, clear knowledge of the menu and for my gluten free diners they knew what menu items were appropriate. Expect an upscale atmosphere and a price to go along with it however the food was outstanding and was well worth the price.

The Keg is a great place to eat. Expect a upper class atmosphere and price check. The food is very good... the parking lot fills up very quickly and reservations are recommended!

I have not had a bad meal and we have gone many times... however... the price is on the higher side so we do not go very often!

O.M.G. I love The Keg! The low lighting and very professional servers are amazing. My husband had the wedge salad and it was delish. I had the caesar salad, which was great. We ordered the most delicious garlic cheese bread ever made on this earth. It was so tasty! Flavors popped in my mouth! They brought us a complimentary loaf of bread and butter. Nice, but unnecessary with the garlic cheese bread. We ordered classics: I had the teriaki classic dinner. Husby had the filet classic. We both loved how our steaks were seasoned, a very lean, yet juicy cut we didn't have to dig out of a fat surround. Mmmmmm... I had garlic mashed potatoes that were yummy; zucchini and red bell pepper
veggies roasted to perfection; and super moist chocolate cake drizzled with raspberry puree to share left us very satisfied. We brought home a doggy bag. The next day, steak and mashed potatoes were even tastier!

A minus is that this place is a little pricey. We were out the door minus $90. Save The Keg for special occasions!
    We'll be back.

I had the prime rib...it was very good.  I love the horseradish sauce; you will DIE, it's so strong.
The "side salad" that comes with your food, is actually big enough to be an entree salad.  It was also very good; the Caeser was good anyway.
The ambience is very darkly lit and romantic, or perfect for loud parties looking to steaks and sips.
The staff was on the ball and friendly.
    Good times overall.

They have a very limited HH menu but we decided to give it a shot since we wanted to sit on the patio. We all stuck with their red wine, it's $6 for a 9 oz pour which was a great deal! I had the J. Lohr merlot and thoroughly enjoyed it! Not really a place I'd recommend for HH but the service was great!

We went here for my birthday dinner and it was fabulous! I never thought I'd find another steak like I was used to back home in North Florida (an old farmhouse restaurant we used to love before it closed).

The steak was divine and needed nothing extra.  My husband had the prime rib and it nearly fell apart it was so tender.  He said it did not need the au jus or horseradish but that they were also so good too he had to enjoy them as well.

Although most don't suggest bringing the kids along, we found the establishment a warm and comfortable environment and kid friendly too! They brought fresh fruit plates out for each of our boys to snack on while their kid menu dinners were made.  There were crayons and coloring pages to occupy them too.

In total I will recommend this steakhouse to everyone I know!

    Great Service & Prime Ribs!

I love going to this place for prime ribs.  Seriously, their horseradish has a powerful kick!  It has the right amount of punch (like wasabi) that gets your eyes all teary but in a good way.

We get really great service each time we go here and they've never disappointed me.  This isn't a very expensive restaurant, but they provide you top quality food and staffing.  We came with 8 people and at first they said the wait was over an hour and when we were trying to find another place to go (i was starving & couldn't wait) the manager came up and heard us discussing it so he said that he would work their table around to accommodate us & it'll be a 45mins wait instead.  I was really impressed because it was very obvious they were very busy.

The best part is if you tell them its your birthday they usually give the bday person a dessert with one candle on it.  If they are not too busy their wait staff will sing you a bday song.  Also, they have these chocolate filled mints for you afterwards too and they have a really decent kid's menu.  The portions are pretty big for the kids and it comes with a fruit/veggie tray, which i think is a healthy way to promote eating healthy for our kids these days.

I'm pretty sure i wrote a review for The Keg before, but it was probably another location.  Either way, all location hasn't disappointed and I will always come back here for prime rib.  This is the place for me to eat it!

I was very pleased with both the quality of the food and the quality of the service.

My server, Fernando, made a great recommendation to have one menu item of a baseball top sirloin rather than another version of the same cut of meat. It was seasoned and prepared perfectly. It was one of my best steakhouse meals in years.

The staff, Fernando included, was very attentive. From the moment I walked in the staff was checking to see what brought me in, refilling my drink, etc. at the end of the meal Ian, one of the Managers, made it a point to check on my satisfaction.

Quality food plus Quality Service = happy customer. I will be back next time I am back in town.

Took the hubs here for his birthday. Neither of us had been before. We ordered steaks (shocking, right?) which were amazing! He got the prime rib and I chose the sirloin and we traded bites trying to figure out who had the better steak. He's also a big fan of potato-anything so he ordered their twice baked potato as a side. He's still raving about it! Our server was professional, friendly and well-informed and took the time to go over the menu with us. I mentioned off-handedly that it was the hub's b-day and towards the end of our dinner, the manager walked over with a piece of mud pie as big as my head, much to our surprise and delight.

Definitely recommend this particular location for celebrations, but get there early as it filled up fast and there was quite a wait.

I went here the other day for lunch with another large group of family, and I wasn't as impressed as I hoped I would be. You expect the Keg to be really high end and for service to be outstanding. I didn't feel like the Keg met my expectations.

The lunch menu is very limited, and the least expensive entree on there is the classic burger, at roughly $11.50. If you want to add cheese, add another $1.29. Bacon, avacado, or anything else is also an additional $1.29. So my $11.50 burger became $14.08 because I added bacon and cheese. For a burger? Really?

When I got the burger, I bit into it and it tasted good, but it also tasted strange. I'm not sure how many of you have read Morgan L's review about how the beef "wasn't beef" but I'm agreeing with her sentiment here. There is no way that patty on my burger was 100% beef. It was far too tender, and it had a strange squishiness to it that made me feel like it was sausage of some sort. It didn't taste bad, in fact it tasted quite good, but I focus a lot on textures and so it kind of weirded me out.

I also had the sweet  potato fries along with my burger and they weren't bad either. But they offered tartar sauce to dip them in, and not much else. I asked for honey mustard and was told they didn't have any. What!!!???

The server was absent a lot, and my water glass sat empty for a decent amount of time. We had been tucked back into a corner, kind of away from any other dinners, and while it's nice to have the privacy, the server needs to remember that he can't just walk by us and see what we need; he needs to make a concerted effort to see us.

All in all, I most definitely won't come back for lunch. I'm also not a huge steak fan so I'm not so sure I'd go back for dinner either. But we'll see. I usually only go when my family is paying 'cuz it's so darn expensive!

The Keg I have to say really holds true to how they are known for their steak and prime rib. I love how every time I order I know that my prime rib will be consistent. For the price you have to pay for a meal like this, it's comforting to know that it's worth it.
The service that you receive at the Keg I would compare to other fine dining restaurants like John Howie or Ruth Chris. To me great customer service and the presentation of the meal sets the mood for the entire experience. That's why I continue to come back to this restaurant. They will never let you down.

I haven't been to this location of the Keg yet but was going to be in the area and was craving some of their Orange Slice martinis.

Even better that it was during the 'happy hour' which made them only $5.

Their happy hour isn't the best for food since they don't really have a ton of 'appetizers' but maybe 2 or 3 on the menu.

I was a little surprised to see they offer chips here in the bar to snack on while you are eating. They were slightly warm and not too salty (or too tasty).

The food itself came pretty quickly although I forgot to ask for extra croutons on my salad and they came out with only 3 or 4 (sad panda face).

The Keg is always solid for a steak and/or caesar salad. One of the better options in the area.

My boyfriend and I have been back here twice since our whole "that can't be beef" deal... and honestly, I still think it was shitty sliders.

BUT... I bumped them up to 5 stars and this is because the management  really seems to care. First visit back they randomly gave us a $25 gift card and the next visit the manager came around and said "appetizers on me, enjoy". We both were like "what?" so when he came back around I thanked him again and we had a long convo about customer service. He was very passionate about keeping people happy and coming back.

So glad we came back. I wish I had spoke with him earlier, makes a huge difference when managers want feed back and are GENUINE. He didn't make us feel like we were pain in the ass.

Amazes me we get better customer service at The Keg than John Howie!

    now... please keep it up!

This would have been a four stars instead of three.

I called two-day before for a reservation.  One day before, I called to add one more seat and found that my reservation was nowhere in sight.  Later, they found that my original reservation was recorded on a different day.  Man!  I am glad that I called to add one more person.  Otherwise, I will be really upset at them.

We have a great party of eight.  The service by Michael was excellent.
One kid steak was over cook like beef jerky and the manager took it back and fixed it.  Thank you.
In the three lobster tail and prim rib orders, all three lobster tails were rubbery.  I can barely cut the tail by the steak knife.
Given it was a busy Friday night, but I cannot excuse you like that.

Other than that, things were good.

Eh. It's kinda chain-y, but their food is pretty good. I wouldn't say it's worth the price, because I tend to think that steakhouses are rarely ever worth what you pay (with the exception of one place). I guess it hearkens back to the way my own dad was. He never NEVER wanted to go out for steak or burgers because he KNEW he could make much better at home.

    Pros:
AWESOME Blackberry Martini. I totes stole the recipe and will be making these for the 4th of July, sans the whole handful of ice the Keg adds to theirs to volumize the beverage so it doesn't look so tiny.
Pecans and Goat Cheese on a steak??? FTMFW. Put goat cheese on shoe leather and I'd eat it.

    Cons:
Ice in my martini. No Bueno.
Pricey pricey for what you get portion wise and quality wise.
Somewhat uninspired blah-atypical menu for steak.
Waitstaff was a little overbearing with attentiveness, some people like this, others do not like being interrupted every 5 minutes to be "checked on".

Meh.  Overpriced in my opinion.  The quality really is not much better than an Outback Steakhouse.  There are some appetizer items that are very good, and priced well.  For example the bacon wrapped scallops are delicious, and aren't very much.  Also they  have escargot, although I have not tried theirs.

My first experience here was pretty high.  I had the Teriyaki Sirloin steak.  It was the cheapest steak on the menu at $18.  It was delicious and cooked well.  The last time I was there, we went to happy hour.  We ended up ordering off the Restaurant menu because the only happy hour items were dips or nachos.  I ordered a medium rare pecan crusted steak.  It came very rare.  I sucked it up and ate it, but it was really rare and chewy because of it.

The drinks were good, but really weak.  Our happy hour bill ended up being $75, which was more than I had hoped for a steak, a burger, and a few happy hour priced drinks.

I also had the wedge salad and the dressing was not very good.  It tasted bottled and strange.

I don't know if I would return, It's not bad by any means, I just don't know  if the level of quality is worth it's price.

Food poisoning in 11th grade of high school has prevented me from coming back here sooner.

However, on a snowy winter day, I wanted a warm, hearty meal and what's more filling than a nice, juicy steak?

I am surprising myself by giving this place a 4. I expected it to be much less than this based on past experiences, but it's definitely a solid 4.

While the seats are probably the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in and the decor a little stale, the food definitely made up for this. The husband and I shared a caesar salad and then each had the prime rib. While the caesar did not have enough dressing on it to start, we got an extra ramekin on the side which easily made up for it. The dressing was interesting and had a horseradish hint to it...but I still was satisfied. For prime rib, I had the 8 oz which was the perfect amount for me while the husband had the 10 oz which was the perfect amount for him. He had the garlic mash and I had the rice pilaf as our entrees both came with a side.

I loved the rice! It was buttery, fatty for sure, but awesome. I tried the garlic mash and was happy that I ordered the rice but they were still fairly decent. The portions were perfect and while the bill came to a little over $50 which was a little pricier than expected, I think it was well worth it.

Service was attentive, food was great...a solid experience.

This was the 4th Keg we have been to. We love them... we are on the mailing list and had my hubby's birthday postcard in hand. The yearly crab-fest was on... we love crab-fest... we miss Maryland... The stage was set for a great evening... NOT!

It was a chilly night and the outdoor seating was not open, but this location does have a cute area that is sectioned off behind a fence and could easily be used for a private party.

Crab cake appetizer - should have been labeled "Sweet Pepper Cake with Essence of Crab" - dry, crumbled instantly, tasted the bread more than the crab - 1 star lost.

The next table almost had it worse than we did. The couple both ordered drinks from the bar to start. She ordered a margarita of some kind and he had "sour" drink. I don't know what alcohol was supposed to be in it... we heard him complain several times that there was no alcohol and too much ice. As the waitress left their table and dropped off our drinks I noticed both of their beverages were FULL of ice... then I heard my husband ask for another diet cola before the waitress left the table... gad zooks Batman... his drink was ALL ICE... as in pale tan with a hint of cola syrup. He didn't get a refill until after the entrees were delivered. The bus boy took pity on us and brought us water while we were choking on the crab cake breading. 1 Star lost.

Cheddar Crab Steak - awesome cheese sauce... half a cup of shredded crab mounded on top... over a teaspoon of shells... think about it... a teaspoon doesn't sound like much... until you are picking shells out of your teeth every bite.

When I showed the waitress my growing mound of potentially tooth shattering shards?

    "Oh, ok"

    and she walked away...

What? No apology, no manager, not even a refill for my iced tea!!

We already had 1 free meal thanks to the post card, so I guess she didn't think we needed anything more. 1 Star deduction.

This is the first time we have had a bad experience in 3 years of visiting King county locations of this chain.

Stopped in with the lovely Betsy K. and my folks for dinner, thanks to "thank you" coupons we got for two dinners for 2 for $30.

I hadn't eaten at The Keg in a while and the last time hadn't been so great. Bland steaks, crap service, and overall a pretty meh time.  I'm not sure what they changed, but this felt like a whole new restaurant.

The staff was friendly and fast on their feet, the appetizer's were delicious - the baked goat cheese was a very pleasant surprise, though be sure to ask for additional crispettes to go with it and the tempura snap peas and asparagus was just the right level of salty to get the mouth ready for the main course.

Our coupons got us either a 10oz prime rib or an 8oz sirloin, along with a potato side and fresh veggies.  I got the prime rib with a baked potato while Betsy got the sirloin with a twice baked potato. The steaks came out just the way we ordered, mine just a hair over rare and Betsy's an even medium.  Both were absolutely delicious.

Our server kept my diet pepsi with a slice of lemon constantly refilled and always remembered to put a fresh lemon in it each time, which was a pleasant surprise since i can't think of another place where the staff thought to do that.

Whatever changes they've done to either the staff or management at The Keg by the Alderwood mall, i heartily approve and will be going back there when I'm in the area and craving a steak dinner.

If you have been around the Seattle area in the last 20 years, you know the Keg and what you should expect from this local steakhouse chain. A step above Black Angus and usually set-apart from Outback by atmosphere only. At the Keg, you can expect a warm and classic steakhouse ambiance, a good selection of choice steak, prime rib and seafood, and prices that are satisfactory-especially if you're a bit "priced-out"  of the Daniel's or Ruth's Chris market.

In my ten years of living in the Puget Sound area, each and every time I have visited the Keg, all of these expectations are usually met and sometimes exceeded.

This is my 3rd time at the Lynnwood location and I really needed them to come through again for my GF's birthday dinner. Unfortunately, as my 2-star rating indicates, they fell quite short of the experience I am use to.

Our salads were rushed out to us at the same time as our appetizer, even after we conveyed to our server that we would like her to space out the salad timing (we were NOT there close to closing time, either.-I don't play that). Our server was very short and insincere and the WHOPPER of this whole 2-star rating was how she offended me when there was a indiscrepancy on the wine selection I had ordered.

To shorten the story, it goes something like this:
I order a selection from the wine list.
She brings out the WRONG selection from the same winery.
I point out that this is the wrong selection.
She debates me on this, and insists that this is the right selection.
I point out that this is the wrong selection.....AGAIN.
She leaves the table to "...go ask some someone".
She comes back and insists that this is the same wine that I ordered from the list and tells me "I had three people tell me this is right."
I point out that there must be a misprint on the wine list then and that this is the wrong selection.....AGAIN.
I bite my tongue at her pretentious attitude and her offensive manner in which she tried to argue with me in front of my GF.
I order ANOTHER selection through gritted teeth.

What our server didn't know was that I was A) a bartender B) a wine drinker and C) was quite knowledgable of this particular winery and it's wines.

It was a VERY disappointing scenario, simply because this particular server tried to make me look like and ass in front of my GF during her birthday dinner. I was enraged but kept my cool for the sake of the celebration.

To top things off, when I spoke with the manager at the end of dinner to discuss the conflict, he admitted he was one of the "people" she had conferred with on the matter!!! This could possibly mean that the manager knew of this menu misprint of the selection and was telling his servers to sell a much cheaper wine selection for more, just hoping the guests didn't notice the subtle differences on the wine label!!!

Either way, I was disturbed and offended by the whole scenario, and would hope that other guests are not treated in such a fashion if there are menu "disputes" or would hope that the Keg's Bar Manager really isn't trying to sell lesser wines as a more expensive selection.

The whole experience was enough to drop this Keg visit from a 4-star, to a 2.
