Kildare's Irish Pub

The drinks were good. They have a huge selection of beer and whiskey. And the meal I had would have been very good but they put so much salt on my meal it could have been preserved for a thousand years. All I could taste was salt. And I know the only reason restaurants do that is to get people to drink more alcohol. So shame on them for trying to trick me into drinking more by ruining the meal. It is a shame because the server was friendly and the food was decent before they over salted it. There is salt and pepper on the table so if I want to over salt my meal I can, but when restaurants do it for the purpose of getting people to drink more it doesn't make me want to return. The celtic décor and bar scene were great but seriously, why ruin the food to get people to buy more drinks? It is plenty easy enough to leave the salt out and let the customers salt their own meal, so when it is over done there is no other reason for them doing it. So if you read this review before you go to eat here be sure to tell them to not put any salt on your meal.
I give them 3 stars because the other guests in my group enjoyed their meals and if I was rating this place just on my meal it would get maybe 2 stars. And its a shame since they try to have authentic Irish meals which are hard to find in other restaurants.

I was at Kildare's on Friday evening with some friends.  Upon walking in I was greeted at the host stand with a "What's up. ID."  No manners, rude greeting (mind you it was approximately 8pm).  We proceeded to grab some seats at the bar & ordered dinner.  Around 9:30pm a young man came around and told me I needed to get out of my seat because they put the barstools away at night.  I politely requested to keep my seat, as I had a bill running and was enjoying time with friends.  He insisted I get up and then told me I could pay to have my coat checked.  No thank you.  I found the staff rude and unwilling to cooperate.  We promptly left. I will not be back.  Forcing paying customer's out of their seats?  NO THANK YOU.

When we first entered this bar I thought wow it still looks the same after many years of my last time being there. It was a Monday night and we were hungry for wings so we figured why not go to Kildare's... Well the food came out fast and hot and I must say it wasn't that bad until we had a little visitor pop out onto our table... well after I inspected it for a hot second I notice wth it was... COCKROACH... WTF
