just a-ok!

Recent visit.  We had a really nice appetizer, salad and an order of pasta. When the pasta arrived, I asked for some bread, which to me is pretty standard fare with pasta.  When the bill arrived, I noticed that I was charged $1.00 for bread!  A small saucer with 2 small pieces cut in half.  Come on!  Based on just that little experience, not sure I would return!  Way too many places in the area that don't rake customers across the coals, and know what to include and what to charge for!  Food good but not great for the rather high prices!

My daughter had a play date this Sunday in Oak Park.  Love the area!  Never heard of this place until the other mom suggested it. Kid friendly!  They have a cute kids meal, a coloring page and Cup O Crayons.  Cute.  
While the kids dined from the kids menu, we, the fab moms enjoyed flatbread (bacon & eggs (she) and bbq chicken(me) ) AND mimosas.  The mimosas were weak.  Don't worry, we weren't driving anywhere with the shorties but we could've had a little more champagne in the glass for $11 bucks, you know what I mean?  
I will definitely come back.
