We went to the lounge looking for fun and found it. The Happy hour was pouring good drinks and had a lovely piano player. Â We had a nice dinner wit decent food. The matre'd Mark was full of good information and set an excellent pace of quality and service. Then a singer guitarist played and we danced. Yes this for an older crowd and it was a pleasure to find such a place.
Review Source:Love this place! The staff, bartenders, cooks and manager always very nice and remembers us. Â Fun atmosphere and live piano music while watching folks dancing. Good happy hour menu food and drinks. We always return just about every visit. Great chicken noodle soup & lobster roll too!
Review Source:We had reservations for dinner and went to the bar first. Michelle I think the bartenders name was. Waited forever to get two glasses of wine, after a while I wanted a other but she would not look over for a second for me to order. Finally our reservation was ready for dinner. Again we kept trying to get her ate goon to get the check. The host saw that we were not getting our checked and he yelled over to her on two occasions and she looked over and still took a total of 30 min to get our check. It was so bizzare that I canceled the dinner reservations and left the Resturant. The host knew and was aware on why we canceled and apologized for the bartenders behavior.
It was the first bad experience we have ever had on the island. We went to another place on Worth Ave and had a great time.
The Leopard Lounge was recommended by OpenTable as the top romantic restaurant in the tri-county area, so we went for Valentines Day. It was a fixed menu. The food was spectacular. They have a deep bar. The place is dark woods and glossy black leather booths, big, lazy leaf fans swaying to and fro over your head, and hand-painted ceilings that have kind of an infantile Chagall quality to them.
Tucked away in the Chesterfield hotel, a quaint stuffy place of lodging which caters to the equally stuffy elderly old money of the island, the Leopard Lounge is a watering hole for people so rich and so old that their AARP card is positively dog-eared.
The pianist knows the American Songbook and a few Neal Diamond tunes that can have their arteries sufficiently hardened to fit the room.
The food was excellent. I had a lobster risotto that was all claw meat as my main course that was perfectly prepared. Â The shrimp cocktail was surprisingly pedestrian for a kitchen of this caliber. Â The shrimp had no pop and the "Marie" sauce was a little ketchup and mayo well below the standard of the rest of the cuisine.
The dessert was a sampler of chocolate ice cream in chocolate shavings, creme brûlée, a chocolate-dipped strawberry, and mousse. The latter was terrible, with hunks of some brownie-like substance. The brûlée was delicate and awesome, and as much as I don't like chocolate, the ice cream was small enough and intense enough to get my interest.
The bar is deep and wide like the mighty Mississippi. The only way I could tolerate this snob-a-torium in future would be to eat up there.
We made a reservation here looking for an evening of fine dining and entertainment; they have a wonderful piano player playing tunes straight of of The American Songbook. Â The ambiance is very Old Palm Beach - just what we were looking for on this particular evening
Well, I can't review much more here- we left this restaurant before we ate a bite- after being seated on time for our 8:00 reservation and waiting ALMOST AN HOUR...fifty five minutes to be exact, with no server coming to take our order!
Why, you ask, would you wait that long before walking out in disgust? Â Probably, looking back (we were here about 10 days ago) because we had arrived early, sat at the bar, had a drink and schmoozed with the GREAT Bostonian bartender, before being seated. Â Having that bit of booze must have been enough to keep us almost amused as the minutes ticked by. Â Though we were given menus to look at by the manager when he seated us, Â the waitress (who attended the tables on either side of us FIVE times during this period) never once glanced at us. Â
When we finally did leave, we found the manager and informed him. Â He was apologetic and said something about being short staffed. Â He didn't seem surprised or particularly upset. Â The aforementioned waitress DID apologize more sincerely; she said she was not assigned to our table, but should have taken steps to see who exactly was responsible to serve us. Â Thumbs up for taking responsibility.
We were so disappointed in our evening, but when we asked the valet where he'd suggest we dine (it was after 9 PM at this point), he directed us to Charley's Crab. Â Great suggestion, because at Charley's they served us great steaks with an upbeat friendly attitude. Â The evening was SAVED!
I expected to see Don Draper wooing a client over a three-martini lunch this afternoon. Â The Leopard Lounge was the best bar experience I've had this year. Â Vacationing from Seattle and enjoying a respite from the Worth Avenue shopping experience, we stopped in around 4:00 p.m. for a drink and a snack. Â The martini was generous, with a small vial of extra vodka on the side. Â Appetizers of margherita pizzas and fires were perfect. Â The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, giving us a history of the decor, including the amazing painted ceiling (provided by an artist patron who was paid in drinks), the leopard carpeting, the dark wood and the ceiling fans. Â A transporting experience back to the bygone days (before the Palm Beach patrons had their first face lift).
Review Source:Fun and crazy joint! Â Definitely an "older crowd", meaning, aged 65 and older. Regardless, the host was personable and seated us quickly with a great view of the dance floor. Â Our food was just OK, the cobb salad was my most memorable dish. The wine list was in dire need of updating. However, our experience was still a good one, as we greatly enjoyed the atmosphere of live music and people watching. I'm sure we will be back with friends.
Review Source:A delightful setting, luxurious setting without the hustle and crowds of a large property. The Chesterfield and Leopard Lounge and Restaurant is an excellent choice. From fine dining to a quaint courtyard, the Leopard is all one would want from a wonderful dining experience. From the Matre D' Mark Weiner to our waiter Ricky, everyone was experience professionals who's sole focus was an excellent dining experience. We started with a seasonal pumpkin soup (so good) and split their famous Caprese Salad. My wife had their Pasta Primavera and I had their equally famous Chicken Curry. Both of us cannot remember a better meal in a nicer setting with better service! Kudos Chesterfield and Leopard Lounge & Restaurant, you just made our favorite FL Getaway List!
Review Source:This place was wonderful from the minute we walked in..Maitre de was friendly, and even came around during dinner to ask how things were..
First, the decor IS 1970 elegant but it is still beautiful and warm...very dark and very intimate. Loved it...We asked for a quiet table since it was an anniversary. We got wonderful dark corner booth and loved it.
There was a piano player during dinner and then it flipped over to a 2 pc combo.Music was wonderful..very supper club feeling.
Now to the food..ALL I can say was EXCELLENT from both service by the waitress and the food itself. I ordered the wild salmon with garllic sauteed spinach..Incredible seasoning and the basil oil on the fish was delish ! Â Partner had a NY strip steak cooked to PERFECTION..pittsburgh rare , also with the sauteed spinach. Both of us are dieting and they subsituted the spinach for a starch. Steak was seasoned SO GOOD that u did not need ANY steak sauce..that was a first for us.
Service from the waitress was wonderful..she was warm, friendly and funny.
We ordered their version of bread pudding with ice cream and real whipped cream and a delicious sauce..We could not eat all the bread pudding and took 1/2 home along with a side of the sauce for later on. This was a delicious dessert.
It was a wonderful dining experience and YES, we WILL be back !!
I love the feel of the lounge. 1st off I can never get enough of piano bars and live music so this was HEAVEN to me. It takes you back in the day when things were elegant and Gents were truly Gentleman. This is a locals favorite from what I can tell and I can see why.
I also had the pleasure to dine as well and the food was up to par. I started with the crab cakes and they were Delishhhhhh. Lump crab meat in every bite ;) next up is the curry chicken.... The flavors were excellent nothing bland about it. Nice and spicy just the way I like it! Â The bartender was very cute, personable and sweet!
You have everything you need in this one establishment
Outstanding service (check)
Ambience (check)
Awesome food (check)
Amazing entertainment (check)
And the real reason I'm giving them 5 stars is because they cut me a (check)! Lol. Just kidding. This place should be on your to do list ;)
What can I say.....Leopard Lounge, Chesterfield Hotel on Coconut Drive throw back to the 60s
Decor, classic & unique for the 2000s
Cozy, comfortable. Great place to people watch.
Food prepared to a 'tee'
Live music. Dance floor.
Lou & John [bar staff] ....... top shelf people.
Well worth a visit if in Palm Beach.
This place is a lot of fun. Â Menu is simple, but the food is prepared extremely well. Â I had the duck and my wife had the pasta. Â
The bar are is crawling with interesting people. Â The people watching here is amazing. Â They have a dance floor which gets really active just after 9pm. Â
The decor is classy and the entire place is really elegant. Â It's also a very light sort of atmosphere and people seem to be having a lot of fun.
This is old school PB to a T. The redecoration prior to this Season has left all the charm in tact. Still the amazing mechanical fans, and of course the leopard print carpet. Love the swirly ceiling painiting and black patent upholstery.
It's one of those "only in PB" experiences.
The maitre'd/waiter described everything on the menu for us (which was a bit of a chuckle since the fare is as standard American wasp grub as it gets). The seafood cocktail was tremedous. We enjoyed the salmon and filet, however the potato rosti on both plates was Not Good. However, the key draw is not food but atmosphere.
After 9, the locals swarm the bar and boogie on the dancefloor. A live singer crooned disco delights.
Only. In. Palm. Beach.
my friend took us to this place during our long weekend in palm beach, and it was a blast. Â mind you, this place is not bumping with the young see-and-be-seen crowd, but rather the "locals" (if you know what most WPB locals are like). Â their service is great and the decor is lovely. Â highly recommend a stop if you're in from out of town!
