This small bar is one of the better places to grab a drink in Coral Gables. The crowd on a Friday night could be described as an assortment of 20/30-somethings who just got off work nearby. I can't say much for the food but I did have some epic sweet potato fries with truffle oil and a strong cheese sprinkled over them. I had a couple of cocktails and they were above average in quality. The best part of the bar is that it is small and intimate, very New York-y. The street where it's located also has places like The Bar and Miss Saigon next to it so you can bar hop. Overall, I'm looking forward to returning and trying out more items on their menu.
Review Source:The staff was welcoming and the food was great. Â The Roasted Bone Marrow was outstanding, and their take on a Reuben was creative and tasty. Â The top layer of "bread" was actually fried pickle slices. Â The bartender was also well-informed about the beers on tap - very much appreciated.
Review Source:I've been to The Local several times. At first I thought it was great, but after a few times I'm not so sure anymore.
It's a small place and the ambiance is great, you usually find people in their late 20's to mid 30's here and no children. The place looks really nice and clean, no complaints there.
The service at the local is ok. They're nice and friendly. Not really fast, just reasonable.
During one particular experience my table was asked twice if we wanted the check...Ok, so maybe we hadn't ordered a beer in 20 minutes, but it was the end of the 4th quarter during a Heat game and we were just waiting for the game to end so we could leave. There was an empty table next to us, so it's not like there were people standing around waiting for a table...I thought that was rather annoying, It felt like were being kicked out, twice.
I read a reviewer complain about the bartenders giving more attention, a lot more attention, to their regulars. I kind of understand this, but I don't really like to be neglected, I want the bartender to at least be on top of things and not just forget I need another drink, I'm not alone, I'm not asking for a conversation, just a drink....That's another one of my experiences at The Local.
According to my boyfriend the beer is great. He loves to try something new every time and he has his favorites. I can't really say, because I don't drink beer. Which brings me to another issue, the liquor selection....They say they have a full bar, it's a small bar, they do have some of the most popular brands, but it's not exactly a good liquor selection. I don't think The Local advertises themselves as having a great liquor selection or a great drink menu either, they're more about the beer, so that's fine, I guess it is to be expected, but if you are like me, you don't really drink beer and you have your favorite liquor or drink, then when you go here that may be a problem. During a particular experience, I asked for Crown Royal and they didn't have any, another time there was only enough for 1 shot and they had no more bottles to open. Another time they didn't really have a single malt whiskey and another time there wasn't any top shelf tequila available. Like I said, this place is for the ones that like beer. The rest of us, well we gotta go with whatever they have.
The food....The menu changes periodically and I like that. The food has been a different experience every time and I'm not sure whether I can say it's been positive or negative, maybe a mix. The food is different, and interesting, but it isn't great..Other people will tell you it's great...I don't think it is and with that said, I think their prices are way high. I can't justify a brownie for $9 that didn't really taste any different than a brownie from some other restaurant, I just keep wondering what is it about that brownie I had that makes it be worth 9 bucks? what? I've had different plates at The Local and while I've enjoyed a taste that is different and interesting and in some cases just kind of weird, I still can't say that the food I've had is so great that is totally worth the money.
I have mixed feelings about this place, but one thing that seems to always repeat is that I leave the place feeling like I paid way too much for an experience that wasn't all that satisfying. I would say this place isn't really anywhere near the top of my list when it comes to having dinner and drinks in the gables.
And to end, I did try the burger - no egg - and I thought at 16 bucks it was decently priced and actually pretty good.
Dear Local Craft Food & Drink
Please end the tyranny and bring back the delicious chicken livers you retired. Â I suffer endlessly just knowing you took them away from us.
They made the perfect sweet/salty/crunch-gasm to compliment all of your delicious beers. Â I love you but you have to stop this cruelty. I miss them and miss going to you whenever i wanted some.
Sincerely,
Romi
Don't let the bar atmosphere fool you, these people make really good food! I had little pulled pork sandwiches once (I think it was a special that day) and they were the best! I've been several times and the food is always consistently good, and the service is great! I think this is a great happy hour spot or a fun date night spot for dinner. Â We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday here and they were so accommodating, and even though we had a very large group, the service was great. Â I really like this little place, it's got a real nice ambiance too.
Review Source:I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Â A couple of months ago we stopped by and read the limited menu and didn't find anything that was appealing so we walked out. Â After reading so many reviews raving about the food we decided to give it a shot. Â For starters we had the brie and mozzarella bites which are a take on the mozzarella sticks, but far from it. Â The breading was a light tempura served with a side of a sweet sauce. Â It paired perfectly with the brie. Â Next we ordered the bone marrow. Â My boyfriend was very reluctant because he is not a fan, but I am. Â It was incredible and even my boyfriend which is not an adventurous eater actually loved it. Â He actually ate more than I did, Â The chimichuri sauce was amazing. Â We shared the burger which was also very good. Â My only disappointment was the dessert. Â I ordered the krispy cream bread pudding. Â It was not moist. Â The sauce did not enhance the dryness of the bread. Â Hopefully next time they will have added another dessert, but other than that I can't wait to return.
Review Source:My girlfriend and I came here on a Friday night for dinner. Overall our experience was good but a little different than what we had initially expected.
The restaurant is small and appears to also be a bar until 2am, which is not necessarily a bad thing. Their beer selection looks great.
Looking around it was a split between guests dining and others just hanging out sharing a drink with friends. Noise level was loud as you can expect with a bar scene.
The food:
We shared the cheeseburger and it was delicious. One of the best burgers I have ever had. Very flavorful. I recommend you try it.
We will be back soon.
My friend and I came here for dinner on a Sunday night and let me just say that I will definitely be coming back. They have a very diverse menu that changes seasonally, a pleasant wait staff and it has a cool laid back atmosphere to it, which I love.
Now on to the food....
Brussel Sprouts: Almost didn't get them because I'm not a fan but after seeing all the positive yelp reviews and pictures posted I had to ask our waitress just how good they were and she assured us that this would be the only time we would actually love brussell sprouts. She was absolutely right! They were delicious!
Brie Fried Cheesesticks: If you like brie, then you're in heaven, if not this probably isn't something you'd wanna try as brie has a very strong and dominating flavor.
Spicy Chicken Wings: Spicy, but not as spicy as I expected them to be. They were damn good and what made this dish even better was the fact that it had little chunks of corn on the cob mixed in and covered in the sauce.
Fish & Chips: The chips are actually seasoned French Fries which I thought were very tasty (and I don't like French Fries) and the Grouper cheeks were my favorite, they were so tender and meaty.
Considering everything we had was fried, we didn't leave feeling gross and overstuffed because they did an excellent job at lightly frying everything to perfection.
The only down side was the restroom was pretty um, gross. Which I kindly told our waitress just so she was aware. I'm in the hospitality industry so I know little things like this can be a big deal to certain people especially if they plan on writing on a review.
All in all the food was fantastic and I will be returning, especially to try that Krispy Kreme bread pudding mmmmmm.
Let me echo every positive review on here - WHOA. Like, seriously WHOA.
Brie Fried Cheesesticks. Need I say more? REALLY. But really. Brie. Inside a cheesestick. Just with that I am won over.
But this place honestly has it all. Went for dinner last night and immediately loved the atmosphere. Quaint, brick, almost a bit industrial. If you like Bud Light and a Turkey sandwich this probably isn't the place for you; however, for everyone that craves a little more than the run of the mill, probably came out of a Lunchables box dinner, this is the place to try. Incredibly large craft beer selection, which is unique for a trendy place in the Gables. It is one thing to have creative menu items, but is another to execute them with such perfection as has been achieved by the chef at The Local. Did I mention the Brie Cheese sticks? My friends had the brussels sprouts. Let me add a disclaimer and say I would rather have to sit through 800 hours of C-Span than have to eat brussel sprouts. But OH MY GOODNESS those were some tasty sprouts. I'd even consider ordering them - my mother would probably faint at the sound of that. The menu star is, of course, the burger, which everyone at my table devoured at sounds of "oh my gosh", "wow", and "this is the best burger ever." Thanks to that lovely little thing called a Lenten Friday, I was unable to participate, but I will say it looked delicious. As did everything else they brought out from the kitchen.
This place is definitely a must try for all locals. I can't wait to go back!
Came here for brunch with the ladies in my family & I wasn't that impressed. I had the grilled cheese which description sounded awesome, but it wasn't up to par. The fries were mehh & the grilled cheese was more bread & apple than cheesy goodness ! I tried the French toast too, same thing. I'll try it again but it's not first on my return list.
Review Source:I totally dig this place! it reminds a lot of New York..so yes...it won my heart.
The menu looks really good...but unfortunately we had gone to dinner prior so I couldn't try anything this time.
The bar was pretty full for a Wednesday night and I've heard during the weekend is even worst, so show up early!
This place has the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had! Was wandering around from my hotel looking for a place to watch the Superbowl, didn't even see this place on Yelp before I walked in. The bartender offered good suggestions for thirst and hunger. Had a few craft beers-all good and after the Brussels sprouts had a baked 1/2 chicken. Delicious. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars for me is the odor which just smells a bit...
Review Source:Been here a million times; in fact, I probably go here once a week at least.
But, I had never thought to try out their Glazed Doughnut bread pudding." OMG I don't think I've ever had a dessert that good!!! It's to die for... I will definitely be incorporating this bread pudding into my late night strolls by the Local :)
I've been really wanting to try this place. The pictures other yelpers have posted have tantalized me to the point that last sunday night I said LET'S GO! The problem is that I really want to like this place and I feel I need to give it a second try. That being said, when we arrived, a party of 4 it was about 9:45. The place was moderately busy so when we walked in we were greeted and seated.
Unfortunately, everything I wanted to try was not available: the fish and chips, the mussels, and/or the shrimp and grits. I'm guessing the seafood goes fast here. So I went for the wings- which were just normal hot wings with some scallions, nothing special. The other three patrons all ordered burgers. They were juicy but my only criticism was that it ws drenched in way too much bbq sauce. Â What this place has perfected is the art of fries. They were amazing dude! I ordered the truffle and parmasean fries with rosemary which were just ridiculously delicious- they were soft on the inside yet not soggy.
The beer selection is definitely extensive. Only problem was it was written on a chalkboard and my boyfriend forgot his lenses and my brother is legally blind- though the waitress was able to help them out. I was just flat out overwhelmed so I played it safe with a guiness.
All in all everything was ok, I definitely want to go back and try some of the items that were sold out as those are the dishes that have been raved about. I'll go back and hopefully I'll bring guests with 20/20 vision.
Girls night sunday tried out The Local for the first time.
Server Melissa B was amazing and help breakdown the menu that changes often.
Order this huge burger, dewars on rocks and pudding desert.
Loved everything spent around $30.oo on all that. Great place to hang out but can get packed fast. TVs let us watch the football game on and two full chalk boards lets you see the many drink options.
But no drink specials
I absolutely love this place... and here are my reasons why:
1. Great menu
They have a seasonal menu so you can't get bored of the food. Â And the food is freaking good too. Â The truffle fries are a must. Â I've had the winter menu fries and the summer-menu fries and I prefer the summer ones because they had bacon. Can't go wrong with truffle oil and bacon. Â They also have a really good popcorn dish that also has bacon and parmesan (i think). Â YUM! Â The beer menu changes often as well.
2. Knowledgable waiters/bartenders
If you know the type of beer you like, they offer suggestions and bring out samples (if on tap). Â Last time I went, I asked for a Belgium beer, and the waiter came back with several bottles and explained the taste and paired the beers to the food I ordered.. I LOVE this type of service. Â
3. The space:
It's intimate enough for a date and chill enough for a friends night-out. Â It's good for dates because you can hear each other (except maybe Tuesdays now bc there's a jazz band), you can talk about the food, and try different beers. To be honest, it's my go-to spot when a guy lets me pick the date spot lol. Â It's good for a friends night out because you can sit/stand around the bar and the dining area while watching sporting events or listening to the jazz band and of course the beer selection is great.
I definitely recommend The Local
I'd heard so much about The Local from friends through photos they had posted (usually of the amazing cocktails and the burger). I had to give it a try, especially since me and my girlfriend are into beer and bourbon.
Went on a packed night, so I was apprehensive. However, service was great. I forgot my server's name but she was very helpful.
I ordered the truffle fries (a must) and the Local burger, which is on my Miami top 5.
My girlfriend is a vegetarian, so the hunt for good, solid vegetarian meals (not side dishes) is a real thing for us. Salads can be a cheap way of appeasing the veggies, but the Kale salad at the Local is special. Definitely not like any salad I'd tasted. Good textures and flavors. The crispiness of the kale, along with the dressing and potatoes, made it like we were munching on potato chips. Really interesting salad and something I def recommend.'
Drinks-wise: I had the 120-minute IPA (it was a Dogfish Head takeover that night) and my girlfriend got an old-fashioned. Both very good of course.
The Local is just a great, small gastro-pub off of Miracle Mile. Prices can get a little high, so I'd recommend going on payday.
Great food, bad service.
Busy night, 1st Friday Coral Gables street walk, so, busy: but this event happens every month, they should have staffed appropriately. Â too few waiters who did not write anything down, so tons of mistakes, forgotten orders, wrong orders.
the food is great, but expensive. Â the scotch, whisky, and craft beer selection is amazing. Â Great product, bad service.
O.m.g. I feel like I died and went to heaven after eating here, no joke.
I went for brunch. So my review is only based on my brunch menu item choices.
What'd I order??
Black truffle steak omelette - 4/5 stars. Very interesting, taste was spot on, the truffle oil was definitely noticeable in every bite. Delicious i tell you. The only thing I would change about this menu item would be to add more egg. It was too much steak compared to how much egg was on the plate. Gotta get the ratio right.
My boyfriend ordered-
The fried chicken and biscuit - 5/5 stars! Amazing. Seriously freaking amazing. My boyfriend is a Southern boy and has eaten some of the best friend chicken out there. Once he took one bite, he was amazed. He called it the best fried chicken he'd ever eaten. He was so impressed he even told the server.
Of course, I had to taste it. That is when I too had a foodgasm over that damn fried chicken that I can't stop dreaming about. I would go back every Sunday if I could just to eat this offering.
Dessert?
Krispy Kreme bread pudding - Holy calories, holy taste! Soooo good. A must-try guys!!
Prices?
Way overpriced for a brunch (see picture of brunch menu). But sadly they know they could get away with it since the food is so good.
Service?
Very good. Drink refills came, he checked on us several times, and chatted it up with the boyfriend about the chef which is ironically Asian (making the best fried chicken!) Impressive, I tell you.
Decor?
It's a bar, people. Don't expect fancy schmancy stuff here.
Overall, I really did enjoy my meal here. Best meal I have had in a while.
The Local-I will not only return but I will also recommend you to all my friends/family.
Can't wait to meet that poultry face-to-face again, lol.
The local is a great spot for beer lovers. They have a great selection of craft beers and the rare IPAs that us Miami-ans have to go buy at some specialty liquor store. Of course the beers are not cheap. They start at $6 and could go all the way up to $30 if they are limited edition. But good beer and selection is always much appreciated. The food here has some cool and eclectic choices, the only let down i had was the wings. The wings tasted like straight out the box buffalo wings (the kind you'd get at dave and busters). Other than that, this place is a great spot, with cool people and great beers.
Review Source:Place is great! We came for Sunday Brunch and we got the Fried Chicken and Shrimp & Grits. Both were EXCELLENT- we got there kind of late but the atmosphere was awesome.
This is a nice place with casual mood in the middle of snobville so there's a good mix of folks eating inside. We are excited about coming back for drinks and nightlife.
The Local Craft Food and Drink is definitely a locals spot. Not overly small but a cozy establishment where most of the people seem to know one another, which made me, the newbie, feel a little out of place but still, I liked the atmosphere. The downfall of not being a regular, our waiter who was nice and helpful at the start, stopped giving us much attention once the place began to fill up.
The Local is a gastropub with a great selection of craft beers (bottled and on tap). Instead of having all the drinks displayed on a typical paper menu, they have huge chalkboards on the wall with their daily drink specials and beer options. It's pretty cool but also a hassle since depending on your seating, you have to get up and read the board, but why not work off at least 1 of those calories you are going to gain from the beer/drink you finally decide on.
To complement the great beers is a well thought out menu of food. The Local doesn't offer your ordinary bar food but delicious gourmet dishes. I am Mussels obsessed, so I ordered the Steamed Mussel. Sounds boring right but actually these are steamed in a broth made of house-cured pork belly/mushroom/shiro miso beurre fondue. This was by far some of the best mussels I've ever had in my life. The broth was superduper amazingly delicious!
My friend decided to order the Fish and Chips. The dish wasn't bad but like most fish and chips it was pretty bland, lacked flavor and was an overall boring dish even with it being beer battered. However, the batter was light and crispy with a nice crunch on the bite. The hand cut fries were a bit overcooked.
The Coral Gables area has quite a bit of bars/pubs/restaurants that are suitable for food and drinks, but the allure of The Local is that it offers a more low-key around the corner atmosphere and of course an awesome beer selection.
The Local never disappoints. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. The food is easily some of the best and most unique in the Gables. I have been here a few times so here are a few of the many highlights on the menu.
One of my favorite dishes is steamed mussels. Though plenty places I frequent serve mussels. The Local's are the best. Always executed perfectly, the flavor is simply outstanding. Needless to say, they are my favorite. My second go to item on the menu are the grouper cheeks. These succulent morsels are so flavorful, with garlic and curry. Lord baby  Jesus help me finish this review.
As I sit here writing this review, I am tearing through The Local Burger, with a fried egg. I feel like I need a private room to eat this burger. I'll leave it at that. Simply put. The Local serves my new favorite burger. By the way the BBQ sauce they put on the burger, is made in house and it is delicious.
If you have not been to The Local in Coral Gables, you have not lived. Easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of Miami.
If you've never been, stop looking and go here immediately.
The Local is my new favorite place when visiting Miami. Â I love gastropubs and The Local has all the elements to be one of the great ones. Â Basically you need a place where you can comfortably spend a couple of hours in jeans or a suit (check), a wide variety of delicious food that's best when placed in the center of the table for everyone to sample (check), and craft beer served by waitstaff who know enough to help the uninitiated (check).
My group started with the beef jerky, then had nearly every appetizer on the menu. Â Don't miss the kale salad, ox tail over grits, chili bbq ribs, brie sticks, and of course the brussels sprouts. Â Everyone at the table raved about how good it looked and tasted. Â Value was pretty darn reasonable as well, especially for the area (Coral Gables neighborhood).
If I lived in Miami, no doubt I'd be a The Local regular!
Was looking for a great date night restaurant & I definitely found it! This place had my boyfriend at "beef jerky" & me at "10% off order with Yelp check-in....... & BACON BEIGNETS". Â The service was good. We had a reservation for 8:30, we got there a few minutes early and at first everyone seemed kind of scattered. No one was really waiting at the front door for the arrival of patrons. I was already thinking that the other Yelp reviews were right, the service was sucky, no alas, we were greeeted & assured our table would be ready soon.
Like the oter Yelp reviews stated, the beer and wine menus are on chalkboards. Don't expect your waiter to know all the beers. I guess depending on where you're sitting, you're able to see the different menus. We started off wit the beef jerky. Can I just say my whole meal could have consisted of beef jerky, and I would have left happy.
I ordered the lamb hot dog, which again, was amazing. My boyfriend had the Local Burger, which he is totally convinced must have been cooked with some sort of illegal substamce because in his words "this burger tastes too good to be real". We finished off the bacon beignets, which came with whipped cream and rosemary maple syrup. Wow....wow....wow. I'm drooling & day dreaming at the same time just at the thought of these things. They aren't filled with huge chunks of bacon, but you can still taste it. They were fried just right!
The service was good, the food was great. I will definitely go back!
First Brunch at the Local, yes our company was the absolute best! Â In our group we had roughly 12 people, our server was accommodating and friendly. Â Unlimited mimosa's, which we took full advantage of. Â It did seem the more we ordered the more they were filled with orange juice. Sigh......
The inside  is casual and comfy.  Not very large but this particular Sunday with the massive rain storm it was not crowded. Some unique items on the menu and all of our food was very good.  I did find most if not all of the food is very heavy.  It is comfort food.  The pricing is steep for what type of food and quality.
No complaints we all had a great time being together but in no way would I go out of my way to come here. Â I would pop in for a few beers as they did seem to have a great list of craft beer.
Just OK on the food.
My Yelp BFF Jackie S had warned me about this place. Â But I had to try it... Why? I don't know but I did. Â So I dragged the hubby with me.
This place is horrible... terrible. Â I was really hoping that Yelpers were wrong. Â That it wouldn't be that bad. Â Except... it was worse.
First of all, who doesn't have a drink menu? Â Worse... Who writes their wine and beer menu on a chalkboard. Â They were out of the first 3 wine selections I ordered. Â The waitress told me she "forgot" to delete it from the chalkboard. Â Nevertheless, I really wanted to like this place so I asked for a mojito. Â This had to be the WORSE mojito I have EVER had. Â It was missing the sugar, it was missing the lime. Â It was terrible. Â
The food was even worse. I asked the waitress for her suggestion of the "best" plate on the menu. Â She tells me "try the fish cheeks, you won't regret it." Â She was wrong... I regretted it. Â OMG they tasted horrible. I had to run to the next bar just to get the taste of the horrible mojito and fish out of the mouth.
TRUFFELS are God's gift to fries! The Local Burger... is just shy of being considered a masterpiece. The beer selections make this nice little gem of Coral Gables a perfect place to hang out.
I won't write anymore because I don't want to get all emotional and pour out my guts here to show my LOVE of this place.
If you want to find me on a Friday night, chances are I'll be at The Local. The Local is a gastropub in the heart of Coral Gables worth certainly checking out. To start with, the atmosphere is great... it's a small place with only about 10 tables or so. Most people who frequent this place know each each other on some level, so you get a "Cheers" kind of vibe. The crowd is usually filled with late 20somethings, out to enjoy a great cocktail and even better food. The menu and beer are constantly evolving, so be prepared to always try something new while there. Be sure to also try their amazing truffle fries and bacon beignets!
The Local is a play on the local pub, first introduced in the UK and then crossing over the pond into NYC. You'll find dozens of great cozy places similar to the Local in the big apple, but there aren't any quite like this in South Florida. So a big thank you to the owners of this lovely place... they took a risk and it paid off... mostly for us, the locals. ;)
I love this place so much more after the dinner I just had the other day with my boyfriend, my boss and her husband after work.
We ordered a bunch of stuff.
I ordered the risotto for myself which, wow.... It was fantastic. So tasty. The fried egg on top was perfect for this.
We ordered the local grouper cheeks which come in a curry sauce. I personally am not the biggest fan of curry but I can say it was pretty damn good. It was a little spicy and had banana pieces in the sauce.
We also ordered the steamed mussels which were just perfect. PERFECT.
And the brussell sprouts! Oh my gooooood. So delicious.
Oh and we also ordered the kale salad. It had this citrus-y kick to it which made it quite perfect also.
And then for dessert we shared the krispy kreme doughnut bread pudding. You know, usually I hold in my inner fatty and don't take the last bite. For this, I literally was like.... "screw y'all" and I ate the last of it. It was THAT good.
God. That made my whole week. Once again, I love The Local and will ALWAYS come back here.
One more thing: The chef came out to greet us and that was the perfect little touch to the already perfect dinner.
It's hipstery fasho but the bartender (Sergio) is as cool as the other side of the pillow. Â I stopped by with a pair of lovely ladies for an after dinner cocktail. Â No, not a nightcap. Â Nightcaps are served from the comfort of your own home and is a precursor to coitus.
ok
The Local is Coral Gables' authority on craft beers and food pairings. Â Granted, neither of us ordered anything from their menu, but from the looks of it, there's little to avoid on that front.
As far as drinks are concerned, don't come here expecting dive bar pricing. Â Since they serve premium beverages you can reasonably assume that prices will reflect that. Â Consequently, this isn't the type of place where you get drunk. Â This is the place where you have a good time with friends.
And for you germaphobes, the Local utilizes a drop sink behind the par. Â Personally, I prefer something that sprays 160 degree water and detergent on glassware. Â But when space is limited behind the bar, this is your only option.
Watch for lipstick marks...
I wish The Local was located downtown because I'd be there all the time. Excellent service, creative and delicious food. Whether you're in the mood for bar bites, smaller plates, or entrees they have it all.
The standout, most amazing item we tried (and one of the best dishes I've had in a long time) was something that sounded interesting but I was unsure if I'd love. Â Grouper cheeks with banana, cilantro and curry. WOW! It was heaven. The flavors, even though all so different, worked perfectly.
Also had the mussels (first time I've ever seen them served with pork), jar of sliced beef jerky which was MUCH better than what would normally come to mind when thinking of jerky, and the brie mozzarella sticks. My bf and I agreed that they were a slight disappointment. They were very light and airy (definitly not greesy at all) but the friedness kind of took away from the taste of the gooey cheese.
Unfortunately, they were out of a handful of things we tried to order off the menu (market veggies, panzanella, Leffe, and one the of the Sierras's) which was was really not a big deal deal at all, but they more than made up for it when they offered us free desserts or a round of drinks on the house. Yippee!
I'm a "fan" of The Local on facebook so I see all of the beer and food events for which they host on a regular basis. Something worth looking into to keep you up to date! Also, I'm definitly wanting to try out one of their new Sunday brunches I keep hearing so much about!
