A little nicer than the Flying Saucer, better food, mugs on the wall instead of plates.  Tons of different beers plus some liquor.  Atmosphere is pub to the extreme.  Could use more parking.

When Mrs B and I lived in North Dallas, I wondered why the Londoner was so popular.  Now I understand.  Their beer offerings are great, and the patios are comfortable and shady.  The interior is dark and decorated how I would expect a British pub to be.  We enjoyed our happy hour beers on a casual Friday afternoon.

REVIEW FOR LUNCH ONLY. So, we went here at the stroke for 11 when it opened and my friend told me it's the "Service industry spot" in Addison. For the laymen that means that all the bartenders and wait staff everywhere else go here. That usually means it's the coolest place to be. I think I would love it here at night but probably couldn't go because of the smoking :(

The drinks here are slammin... great bloody mary for lunch, but the food (pulled pork sammy) left so much to be desired. My bad for picking that at a pub right?

Overall I felt like it had a real stanky appeal.... dark, dank, slightly smelly... darts, way cool bartender telling hilarious (even if poorly timed) jokes about some potential drink names. I'd go back for sure.

So its Saturday at 130 and looking to get my grub on. Sign says to sit yourself and we did. One of the waitresses saw us seated and didn't even come to say hi.

So off to the bar top we went to order food, only to find the bartender MIA and when I asked one of the waitresses passing by about ordering food she told me to wait.

Being a waiter myself I couldn't help but feel that they didn't want to feed me. Was it because I am Mexican wearing a Spock T-shirt?  Perhaps.  I get it perhaps being Saturday morning where the shift doesn't guarantee a good tipping crowd and thus rather not wait on them than get a bad tip.

So lesson never go there on a Saturday morning as the service will be piss poor at best.

I came here searching for the perfect Fish and Chips.

They were good just not great ~ I personally felt the portions could have been bigger.
    So the hunt continues.

That being said the Bar was nice ~ Real inviting staff and lots of cool people.

Ya can't go wrong when you're sippin on a proper pint of Guinness surrounded by friends.

Good beer selection and a good atmosphere. I had the Tikka Masala and I'd say it was just average. However, we also got an order of the chips and curry which were very tasty. The chips were cooked perfectly!

Our waitress was friendly and engaging, however I am not sure if that's because it was a Sunday night and the place was nearly empty.

We sat outside for most of the time we were there because they had the AC on BLAST indoors and it was wayyyyy too cold to be in there. Perhaps they do that to ventilate since people are allowed to smoke in bars in TX?

I don't go to a lot of pubs in Dallas, but if i go i got to few repetitively... this is one of them... Its good its never heavily crowded... It does have British ambiance to it... Tried the Irish Coffee after a few drinks, was alright.
    Drink Responsibly...

This place is awesome. Just rating it on the food, cause I rarely actually eat or hang out here lol. Just order stuff for pickup. Curry mayo ftw, I haven't had a terrible dish here yet.

This is a cool bar to hang out at with a small patio which is perfect for when the weather is great.   The food is pretty good too if you get hungry, they have a late night menu!  Who offers fries with a curry sauce???  This place does!  It's pretty good if you want to try out something different.

I meet with some friends from out of town and as much as I love pubs, this place was just ok. The food was expected to be pub food and it tasted like pub food. The curry dressing they offer with the fries was awful and the waitress I had was slow but I think she was new. Atmosphere was cool and the beer selection was fantastic!

A great place to hang with friends. Way better than Lion & Rose in SA/Austin! This is a real English bar! The Mac/Cheese apptzr is great and the Tower of London burger is even better! Great draft selection too!:)

First time going.  Was pleased with Fish and Chips.  Just the right amount .  Couldn't eat much more if it was larger.  Fish was flaky and crust light. Will definitely be back.  The smoke smell was not noticed much in the no smoking area.

I was invited to my friend's Birthday get together at this place.  Place has cozy atmosphere. Not a bad vibe. Ordered few cocktails and Fish and Chips for the appetizer. I was disappointed by the Fish and Chips. By this place supposed to be English Pub, I expected to taste better. I was just ok and not enough portion for the price.

I love this place. The atmosphere is relaxed - it's a great place to hang out and have a few drink. The chips and curry are fantastic - the curry dip is fantastic and not too spicy.

The burger is good, the fish and chips are excellent, and the shepherd's pie is delicious. I haven't tried the other Indian dishes, but if the chips and curry appetizer is any indicator, they're probably really good.

My favorite bar of all time.  It's comfortable, plenty of seating, music isn't too loud; definitely a place you can go have a few beers with your buddies in an easy-going atmosphere.  It has a very authentic pub feel too, which adds to its appeal.

Also, this place at some point recently started serving really excellent food (like "gastropub" type stuff).  They've always had traditional English/U.K. items, but I always regarded food as their primary weak point.  Apparently, that has changed!

Whenever I'm back home in North Texas, Addison Londoner is always the place I suggest when meeting up with old friends.

Love this place!  Great spot to come watch a EPL game on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Just be sure your not going for the wrong team!  Soccer is the name of the game here, so if it's a big game be sure to show up early to get a good spot.

Food is pretty solid, I'm a stickler for the cheesy hampton fries, but I'm normally here in the mornings for brunch and a match.  I always go with the sausage, egg, and toast, then a throw a Strongbow in there if it's not  too early (on Sunday you can drink til 10).

Great place and the staff is always helpful and cool!

I'll be fair with this review, and consider this separate from the others.

JUST because you're in Addison doesn't make you the greatest bar/pub.

I've been here a few times with people and just sat on the patio. I have finally been inside and feel confident giving a review.

The Frisco location has my beer, Belhaven Scottish Ale, on tap but none of the others do. This is piss-poor as it is only good from a can or from a tap. The battle version is garbage. The selection is great otherwise and everyone can find something to drink.

I ordered the Tower of London Burger. Was it worth the $8? Oh no no no. Was it good? Yes. It was good, but not $8 good. I just don't see how it's called "Tower of London" either. There's nothing English about it. Onion chibatta bread? I don't think that's English enough, but okay.
It was good though. The fries were average as fried go.

The interior is exactly what you image a pub should be. We were there for the Euros and for a lunch excursion it was great. Not too crowded, the waiter was attentive.

I have also been here post Ka-Boom Town and that's just a f'in mess. When I was in college I waited in line at the bar for a drink...I'm an adult and prefer not to deal with that. It's not their fault, but you should be staffed accordingly on a big night.

I recommend this over the others, even if they don't have my beer of choice. I'm not a HUGE fan of it, they don't even have my beer on tap or in a can...but in a freakin' bottle. It is a great place to meet with friends.

If you want piss beer they have that. When you want to drink a REAL beer, you com'on over to the Londoner and buy a big boy beer.

Great beer selection on draft and in bottles. Laid-back atmosphere, kinda "divey", and friendly.

There's something for everyone on the menu. I saw many dishes pass by that looked very good!

I tried the curry chicken. I asked for between medium and "burn your bum" hot. Very generous portion! Awesome curry flavor. The heat component tasted familiar, tasted like sririacha sauce. I asked for some more hot sauce and the waitress brought out the bottle. Yep, green top, rooster on the side, made in California, sriracha sauce.

I didn't expect the sriracha for the heat, wasn't bad but I think it could have been better.

Overall, based on this first good experience, I'll be back!

First time patron and I was impressed.  David was our server and bartender. Attentive and not intrusive.  I had a lot a questions about menu items and he answered every question with patience and humor.

I ordered the fish and chips.  I rarely finish a meal, but I did this time! The fish was lightly battered and very good for being cod.  Chips (fries) were made fresh and crispy. Tarter sauce was excellent. I also had a cup of Guiness Stew, which I couldn't finish. Meat was tender, veggies were just right and the gravy base was very tasty.

Husband had the New Deli.  He completely cleaned his plate! He said flavors were excellent and the ingredients were very fresh. He also had two Shiner beers, which I'm not familiar with, and said the prices were extremely affordable.

We are definitely going back and will highly recommend to others.

I LOVE The Londoner, but HATE the smoke.  It saddens me to think about.  I have actually left this place after one drink because the smoking was unbearable.  It's hard enough to get Dallas folks to go north of 635, they don't want to go home smelling like an ashtray.  GROSS.  Come on Addison, get on the no-smoking bandwagon already!

This place has a really cool, chill pub-feel.  There are darts and a great patio and upstairs patio too.  Drinks are reasonable and service is good.  Great fish and chips!  Now if we could only get them to enforce the smoking ban...

While you're in the area, also check out Addison Point.

The Londoner is a true Addison mainstay and the Addison location is the best of the three or four locations of this well regarded local chain. One of the best things about this place is the beer selection. This is not a 'beer bar' like the Gingerman nor a draught house like Stan's but for a British or Irish style pub, it is hard to imagine a better beer selection. The Londoner primarily excels in offering European imports like Carlsberg, Old Speckled Hen, Stella, Kronenberg etc but also serves up good Texas beers like Fireman's and Shiner. A few super-Premium Belgian bottles like Duvel and Chimay are also available. Even with all these fancy beers available, you can still feel perfectly comfortable drinking a Miller Lite from the bottle.

The ambience is typical British pub with the over-the-top emphasis on Britishness Americans have come to expect from places like this. It is a fairly dark place with a lot of room. There are very few opportunities for bar games as there is just one pool table and two or three dart boards. This is a sit and talk kind of place and being open from lunchtime means that occasionally you might find a conversation partner during quiet hours. Soccer viewing at any time is another important aspect of the Londoner. I like soccer well enough, but what the matches on TV do is bring in Brit expats. Having expats around helps the overall feel of the place.

I have no complaints about the food even though there is nothing great about it. The food is not a good primary reason to come through the door as the food exists mainly to add to the overall experience and is not meant to stand alone. The food is pricey for what it is but you are drunk and hungry so they can always get away with it. I do like how the menu both bows to Texas taste and also includes dishes that reflect the Indo-Pakistani cuisine that is ubiquitous in much of the UK.

So this place has a ton of reviews that pretty much cover it.  Good pub atmosphere.  Dark wood.  Dart boards. Plenty of tables and nooks to sit.  Front patio that appeared to be dog friendly.  Friendly bartenders and staff.  Smoking inside.  Drink options - both beer and booze - galore.

They also have an upstairs room that you can reserve for your private parties.  We were attending a birthday party up there and it was nice.  Tons of tables, nice big TV to watch sports, plenty of room to move around.  We had one waitress assigned to us and she worked her tail off keeping everyone supplied with drinks.

If I lived in the area I'd probably have this as one of my locals and be there all the time playing darts and making new friends.  Also consider this place next time you are looking for somewhere casual to have a private get together.

I've been going to the Londoner since 2006 and even though it's not close to my house or workplace, it is by far, one my favorite hang outs. The atmosphere is great for entertaining clients for lunch/dinner. Happy hour and evenings at the pub are a lot of fun too.

Service is stellar and the staff is always attentive. Bartenders go out of their way to ensure a cold drink is always in hand. Be sure to ask the bartender, Erik, for one of his special shot creations!  He always has something new to try and never dissapoints.

One last thing worth mentioning is the newly remodeled patio. Lots of room and the perfect spot for meeting friends.

Overall, big thumbs up to the Londoner. I can get a beer and a meal anywhere in town, but it's the staff and the people I meet at the pub that keep me coming back.

Oh hello, old chaps! If you're looking for a delicious and filling pub for the morning, afternoon or night, this is the place!

I bloody love this bloody amazing pub. I've been to the one in Uptown a handful of times since it's closer to where I live now, but the Addison location will always be my favorite one of the two. Surprisingly to some people, they have really great pub food: wings, shepard's pie, bloody awesome brunch items and, of course, fish and chips. The wings and the fried egg sandwich are my top two favorite items.

And who doesn't go to a pub for a beer? They have the traditional British beers with zero hop or carbonation and tons of regular beers to choose from as well. Go here to watch some soccer or to chat with old, British men.

I'm giving this a 3 star, which is probably unfair.  I should really give them a 4 star, and take a star away from the city of Addison instead.  The only thing I found wrong with this place is the smoke.  Good lord in heaven, maybe I'm a product of my environment, but Jesus, do people need to smoke that much?  Inside?  I love smoking.  I love a smoke and a drink, but I like to have control over how much I take in, thank you very much.

That aside, we went to The Londoner for one purpose and one purpose only:  Fish and Chips.  We were craving them, and were willing to go out of our comfort zone (south of 635) for a new place to try.  They were super yummy.  Great tartar sauce, though they only give you a teeny little cup at first go.  If you ask for more, there's no problem.  They have some great items on the menu that I'd like to go back for, like Curry Chips (something my Irish family turned me onto years ago).

They can't pour a pint of Guinness to save their lives: there was at least 2 1/2" of head (get your mind out of the gutter) on it.  I muscled through, though, and it was a tasty pint in the end.

All in all, it's a good spot.  Dark, dart-boardy, footbally, etc.  Nice English pub.  Just ease up on the butts!

How the hell have I not written a review for The Londoner yet?

I'll admit that I haven't always been the best house guest, but Londoner always welcomes back this bastard child with loving arms. . .even when I get sauced mid-day before tumbling face first into my Shepherd's Pie.

By far one of the better places to go for pub food. The fish and chips are crisp and there's always a bottle of vinegar near by to enjoy them the proper way.

Like to watch a real game of football (soccer) with some fans while enjoying a pint and afraid it's too early or it won't be on? The Londoner actually opens early sometime to accommodate the local hooligan crowd.

When the weather heats up, the hooligans can spill out onto the patio, and since it's tucked right off Belt Line, the po po don't seem to notice the raucous behavior as much. . .this plays directly into my lifelong 'Don't Go To Jail' plan.

Add in a pretty decent beer list (especially for a stout fan like myself), some pool tables, dartboards and a jukebox and you've got a good time.

    Food - n/a
    Service - 4/5
    Price - 3/5
    Atmosphere - 4/5

    Best Dish: n/a

My friend and I came here one night on a weekday and there was surprisingly a good amount of people. The atmosphere was very fun and energetic--there was even live music at the bar. Our waitress was very nice and she told us about all the drink specials even after we ordered something that wasn't included. She just wanted us to get the best deals and have a good time. I did not get to try the food at the Londoner, it was just one of those nights when its straight up beer (we all have those nights). If the food is as good as the rest of the place, then you may have the perfect pub to go to for a casual night after a long hard day at work.

Chip chip cheerio and all that junk. The Londoner has finally won me over.
While I'm not totally impressed with their drink prices, I'm in love with the nooks, crannies, and dark places to hide inside. It's so nice to just relax. They also played lots of great music the last time I was in. Massive Attack, omigosh looooove. Also, they have really good bar food. For five bucks, you get a huge ole basket of chips (french fries, kids!) and some curry mayo and sauce for dipping. That and a nice cold ale and you are set. A friend of mine had the burger and was seriously impressed.
I'm really impressed with service there as well. They're all so sweet and handle the crowd nicely. Definitely a nice chill bar for chatting and sipping- I'll definitely keep it on my lists of places.

As far as bars go, this place is pretty good.  The service is attentive, the selections of fare and spirits are plentiful, the entertainment is nice and the jukebox is filled with great tunes.

One HUGE problem with this place: indoor smoking.  I'm all for allowing the general public the right to smoke where they would like, but this bar is not properly ventilated so the smoke just lingers.  After a couple hours inside my eyes started burning.  The next morning when I woke up my eyes still stung.  I know Addison hasn't adopted the smoking ban, but I really wish they would.  The Londoner has a great patio and I think they would do really well with the ban.

In one location, the Londoner pulls neatly together all aspects of a choice watering hole that I deem essential - atmosphere, quality service, healthy drink selection, a solid menu, and some recreational options.

The Londoner is definitely styled as a pub, and it pulls off the look and feel of it quite nicely, with a simple exterior and a dark wood interior.  There's plenty of seating, as well as an upstairs area (though it seems to be closed most of the time).

There's a jukebox inside that seems to provide the music, but the key thing here is that the volume generally is usually at a reasonable level.  It's refreshing to be able to go out to a place like the Londoner where you can have a drink and conversation.  Too many bars in Dallas suffer from the disease of overly loud volume.  This place is an oasis in that respect.  The service is good and the servers are friendly and very personable on the whole.

The beer selection here is very healthy:  You can drink good beer or crappy beer, based on your preferences.  The bar is what one would expect.  The menu is satisfactory - while I don't necessarily come here for the food, I do on occasion order something.  There's a lot of good comfort food.  The Hampton cheese fries are spectacular, and their nachos and quesadillas are nice as well.  There are three dart boards, and a pool table, so if one seeks entertainment, it is there for the taking.

Given the choice between this place and others in the area, I'd be hard pressed to not come back to the Londoner again.  And again and again.

Grab a bar stool, grab some darts, grab your beer.....practice your best English chap accent...and settle in for a good night. I loved this place.

I've loved the Londoner since I discovered the tiny original in McKinney Texas....then was SO thrilled to see they opened one in uptown....and last night, I got to complete the trifecta and break in the Addison establishment. The place is HUGE and loyal to its London roots with the dark wooded atmosphere......barrels....dart walls....old pub memorabilia....cozy, smokey and inviting in every sense of the word. Our waitress was on point and didnt miss a beat and the fellow pub patrons were all just as friendly.  Oddly enough...I even ran into a high school friend whom I hadnt seen in YEARS....it was like this place planned it!

Beer and cheese queso proved to be a good idea and I saw plates swarming past me with food I highly plan on going back and trying out.....oh, and pay attention to the playlist of tunes they rock during your visit...I was HIGHLY impressed with the selections. Definitely added to the evening.

    So...tip top cheerio....pour me another...

We lived in England a long time ago and every village has it's pub(s).  I say that to say this. The Londoner doesn't look like a pub on the outside but once you step through the doors BAM!!! It hits you. You feel like you're across the pond in the local pub. Great atmoshere.

We sat out on the patio and it was quite crowded. All sorts of people coming and going. Another thing struck me as I sat there knocking back pints of Blue Moon. A lot of these people seemed to know each other. Like they're here every weekend or something. Again I felt like I was back in the UK.

They even allow dogs on the patio. There was one little Jack Russell who almost everybody seemed to know.  He kept himself busy scavenging every crumb that hit the concrete.

The service was good and the prices reasonable. We had the tiny but tasty wings. I honestly can't even begin to imagine the size of the chicken they came from. I'm thinking maybe cockatiel. We followed that up with the chicken tikka masala. It was pretty good but I won't order it again.

Frisco supposedly is getting a Londoner. If we do I can only hope that it's as good as this one.

Talk about being late to the party! I don't know what I could possibly say that hasn't already been pointed out by my trusty Yelp colleagues. Therefore, I'll be brief.

First off, you get Addison convenience but an off Belt Line location means cool patio chillin' without having to watch traffic zoom by all night long. Better than average pub food, a good selection of beer and cider (on tap nonetheless).  Generally decent service.....and supposedly a poet's corner ( I wish I was as scholarly as Sarah but when Ace pear cider calls my name, Hamlet has no pull).

The only strike against The Londoner is that it is SMOKY inside. I know that Addison is one of the last free zones for the nicotine sticks. I respect that. Just not a turn-on to list on my centerfold profile.

Londoner is the best pub/tavern type of venue I've been to. Highly recommend.
It has that European feel to it and it's all about the ambiance. The crowd is great, very laid back. Go there with friends and grab a table outside. Very nice, and I mean nice roomy outside patio - love it!

Inside - number of plazma TVs throughout, has couches and a fireplace in the corner where you can relax and watch the game on a larger TV on the wall. There are tavern type tables and comfy seating areas. You do need to grab a waitress to get served on weekend nights - but thats fine with me. You don't go there to eat ha-haa! So if you're looking to go with family for dinner - nope, that's not for you.
If you are looking for a European place, good beer, great ambiance, to go with friends and have great time - absolutely check it out.

Did not have a hard time getting a drink at the bar. And every time we went there - we made sure to make ourselves known to the waitress and not wait until someone happens to pass by and notice us. It's all about what are you there for - take charge and make sure you have what you need and then relax and have fun. If you come and expect to be served and have wait staff revolve around you - just don't go. If that's what you are looking for - visit some other more "all-about-you" place. Londoner is all about take it easy and relax, have a good time type of establishment.

Large parking lot, no valet service. And overflow parking right next to the venue.

It's one of my top faves. Lets just say I come to Londoner more often than I do to any other similar type of establishment.

Couple of pool tables, darts, second floor for parties.

Most of the previous reviews have captured the charm and appeal of the Londoner.  Did you know the Londoner also has a heart?  One of my closest friends passed away two years ago.  Not being a religious person, the best way I knew to honor him was to hold a memorial.  Even though he was from Ireland, I thought he would approve of a tribute at the Londoner.  We rented out the second floor and held a memorial service, with slideshow tribute, toasts, and a dinner buffet.  It was a stellar send-off for our dear friend.

The Londoner folks did a superb job in making it a special evening.  They brought on extra staff to accommodate us.  Did I mention that we had close to 100 people there, and they ran separate tabs for everyone?  We didn't request or expect this, but they made it happen.  No one had to wait long for a drink, and we didn't have any tab mishaps at the end.  They also made sure their service was unintrusive during the tribute portions of the evening.  Also, I must mention this was a Thursday evening, so they were busy downstairs as well.

Thank you, Londoner staff, for making this night special for all of us!

A light snack to get our appetites wet before our big dinner, how could one go wrong with a British pub?

We walk in around 4 pm on a Saturday and it seems slow.  We grab a table by the bar and it takes forever to get noticed.  When we finally get the menus, the waitress mentions that a game just ended so everyone wants their bill.

The boys order up a pint of Shiner ($3.75) each and we share the Combo Plate for $10.95.  It comes with nachos, wings, chicken tenders, and a quesadilla.

When it arrived, us hungry souls didn't waste any time.  The surprise treat were the chicken tenders!  Beer batter and deep-fried, they were super moist and oh-so good!  We talked about ordering up just a platter of the Chicken Tenders ($6.95) on its own.

The London wings were standard, nothing particularly special about them, same with the nachos and quesadilla.

When we were ready to go, it took forever to wave the waitress down again.  She was at the other end wiping down check folders and chatting it up with a customer.

Overall, not a bad place to catch a game and grab a pint.

I'd raise a glass of Boddington's to this place any day.  Always welcoming and never prentitous, the Londoner is the place to go to simply have a good time with your friends.  It is the opposite of meat market, so you're free to drink good beer without the tension of a crowd of I-must-get-laid-minded individuals (a la Black Finn).

You'll find me in the Poet's Corner (through the door, hang a right, another right at the dart boards, and a left at the fire place) communing with Shakespeare's ghost.  I may be asleep.

No really, I've actually fallen asleep in the poet's corner before.  THAT'S how comfortable this place is.

Best place in Dallas to meet an authentic English person. Possibly also a few fake ones. That is actually a whole other story, and an amusing one involving me and pints of Newcastle and shots of Jager... Stupid Jager...

The Londoner is the best bar in Addison, and defiantly the best British Pub I've been able to find since moving back here from the UK. They actually have cider, but no blackcurrant - but that is OK. I haven't found a bar yet in America with Blackcurrant. I'm just impressed that they have cider. They also serve Newcastle, Bass, Boddingtons, Carlsburg, Guinness, Harp, Hoegardan, Kronenbourg 1664, and (sub)standard American beers.

They have great fish and chips and cheesy fries, although that's as much as I've ever eaten there. Some things, like the "Scotch Egg", just plain scare me.

The staff is friendly and attentive for the most part. I've gone there quite a bit over the years, and occasionally I get a bartender who gives to much attitude, or a waitress who can't add, but those don't seem to be the norm.

They play major English Premier League games and international matches. For anyone who likes to watch soccer - this bar needs to be on your "favorites" list.

The interior itself is dark; brick and wood is the dominating decor and British signs and pictures hang on the walls. They have a non-smoking room for all the pussies, and the outside patio is pretty big. When it's super hot, they turn on the mist so the patio experience isn't miserable for all those not accustomed to the heat. The bathrooms have plenty of stalls and usually never run out of toilet paper.

My only complaint about this place is that they are slightly pricey, and they don't seem to ever have a happy hour, although they say they do. Maybe the happy hour is on London time instead of Central Standard.

I forgot how much I love this place. It's a little packed (although that could just be the Saturday after Thanksgiving thing), but the crowd is great. Service wasn't amazing but it was fine. It's got such a good vibe . . . class pub style, soccer everywhere, Irish bartenders, it's a great place to get away from the Dallas/Addison scene.

    Big fan!
