Lucky's Sandwich Company

First thing you see is the "Man vs Food" sign when you come near this joint.  The menu is on a board, with plenty of different meat selections.  Every sandwich is stuffed with slaw and fries.  Not a few fries, pretty much an entire meal's worth of fries, stuffed in between the two 1.5 inch slices of white bread.  Oh, and in there somewhere is also the meat and cheese choice you select.  The sandwich wasn't very impressive besides the mere size of it.  Half a sandwich is a good meal, the entire sandwich is a stomach ache.  I, unfortunately, experienced the latter.  The steak fries in the sandwich were not anything special, but there was plenty of it.  

The service was pretty slow despite the place being pretty empty.  I wouldn't have any regrets not eating here again.

I've tried five of their sandwiches and honestly, they taste pretty similar. The coleslaw thats piled on top is too overpowering that I can barely taste anything else. The steak one and the hamburger tastes the same pretty much. But for the price you pay, the portion is enough for two people. Its good but nothing spectacular.

My God, these sandwiches were so good. I had the Fredo with extra meat, and i have to say it was one of the best things i have ever eaten. To make thing even better, the staff and environment were very friendly and welcoming. Next time I'm in Chicago, this will be the first stop i am making.
