EDIT: I find it interesting that all of the actually true reviews (over how bad this place is), have been noted as "funny".....    just some food for your thoughts.
And I went back for a friend's birthday, let's just say I nor anyone in the party were impressed.  CLOSE DOWN ALREADY!!!

I gave M Lounge 2 stars because it is possible to have a nice time there, IF you get past the cost. I had my birthday party there in May before they started having Exchange Saturdays and my guest and I had a nice time. We bought reasonably priced bottles, parked fee, got in free... and although the club was pretty empty, it was nice. My friend had her party there in late October. DISASTER!! We had to pay $10 to park in the back and walk around to the front, $20 each to get in...$50 bucks spent already and my boyfriend and I had just gotten in the door!  I wasn't happy about that but said oh well lets go to the bar and get a bottle and celebrate. At the bar we were told the bottles cost $250-$350...no friggin way! I asked where were the $150 bottles, they acted as though such a price was unheard of. The manager offered us a bottle and an area  to sit for $275...I thought to myself that he must be on crack! Why would I pay for an overpriced bottle of alcohol and a seat? What I didn't know was unless you pay, you cannot sit down! I'm a 6 inch heel wearing girl so imagine dancing all night and then sitting down to rest only to be told you have to get up from the area because you didn't pay for it.... M Lounge has lost all touch with reality and does not value their customers. I don't appreciate being nickel and dimed for every little thing in a club...pay to park, pay to get in, pay to drink, pay to sit...what's next, pay to pee?  Seriously, when you all had little to no crowd you were alright, now that you've got people coming through the doors, you don't appreciate them. I hope M Lounge enjoys it while it lasts. That type of greed never goes unrewarded and soon their dance floor will be empty once again. Oh and the bartenders SUCK! They're slow and can't even make a vodka tonic! They kept putting seltzer and soda in it! Get a clue people

Went here two Saturdays ago and I was pretty darn impressed. Good looking people, plenty of space and a huge outdoor area. Big enough for two DJ's and MC's. Drinks were super strong and fairly priced. It was pretty breezy the night I went and I was wishing the outdoors area was more weather friendly. I didn't like that the parking was so far away but either you can walk in heel or you can't so I'm not going to gripe about it. I'll be back.

Wow.  Utterly shocked this place is in Sugar Land.  There were so many cops winding through the 'interesting" crowd that I wondered what must have gone on here in the past  to 'warrant' this.  Though it was well past midnight, no one was dancing.  We were told by the very nice lady that valet'd our car that the 'crowd' thought they were too cool to dance and it was ashame. Too bad that the first real dance club in Sugar Land looked like it belonged in Chicago or D.C.  All in all, boring and very uncomfortable for some one who actually lives in Sugar Land.  Did I mention the $20. per person to enter?  RIP.

I used to be a regular at M Lounge since it first opened, I stopped going for a bit because the weekend night life never really grew with the Sugar Land crowd, but for the most part, the DJ and music and atmosphere was still worth going!!!! ALWAYS had So much fun!!! I recently saw that this past week was their re-grand opening because it went under new management & I figured let me start going again and hopefully it will be the same!!!! I WAS WRONG!!!!!

in the past, on the weekend it was a night life club/lounge, for Girls, you could wear anything from casual or to dress to impress.-- flats, shorts, tanks were all accepted, and for Guys, shoes were strict, which is understandable. We went this past weekend, bouncer recognized me and my friends cause we were regulars, my friend, as usual wore flats, thats all she wore each time to M lounge, & she was not able to get in because of that! RIDICULOUS!!!! i understand the New Manager was standing behind him & he had to do his job but I let the Manager know that this Management and changes all SUCKED!! he was not pleased with my kind words.

M Lounge USED to be FREE to get in!!! come on, its Sugar Land, NOT Downtown Houston. it USED to be FREE parking! NO COVER CHARGES FOR ANYTHING!!! & this past weekend................**$20 PER PERSON TO GET IN**!???? PLUSSSSS $5 PARKING!!! are you kidding me?!?!?!? who do they think they are?! $25 BEFORE you even step into the place?!?! LOL this is not some high end club/lounge you find in downtown. It's a very nice club/lounge but definatelty still the same when everything else was free.

The crowd, was a whole different environment from what typical crowd went before. I was VERY unhappy with the parking fee, with my friend not being able to get in because of wearing flats. i demanded my money back & will NEVER go to M Lounge again until they have FREE parking AND NO COVER to get in!!!!

even Sugar Land's Town Center across the way does not even charge to get in anywhere and that is where ALL the bars and clubs/lounges are.

Had a great time here for my birthday party on a Friday night.  The new ownership has really amped things up at this place.  Upon my first visit here in June, there were less than 50 people there total all night.  This past Friday, it was a packed house!  The DJ was versatile and truly entertained the crowd!  The bartenders made great drinks and the servers were as attentive as they could be with such a large crowd.  My guests continued to rave about the venue after the party.  The new owner is definitely taking this lounge in the right direction!

Terrible service, rude crowd, drinks akin to paint thinner. Stay away from here, it's where fun goes to die.

I just have to say a few things about this place. I went here for the first time on New Years 2011 and had a BLAST! Music was excellent. Drinks were even better. This place also has an outside roof top view that makes it cool and has a place for smokers. My one time experience that night was great, but I havent't been back since (I don't know if that takes the greatness down a bit) hehe CHECK IT OUT!

    Dear M Lounge,

You get four stars because you were smart enough to hire 10 Karat Entertainment. They are one of the best Karaoke outfits in town and will most likely save your business.

The decor and food selections are a plus. My only recommendation is to earn your stripes and your clientele before coming at your guests all uppity and slapping down "Reserved" tags while we're seated at the table and we both know there's no one showing up in a limo on a Wednesday night and there's about 20 other tables in the place. I like the red couch and I got there first, K?

We'll be back for the food, karaoke, and atmosphere. Work out the kinks by training your staff. Train them in humble service and making guests feel welcome. That's what brings us back. I don't take the snob thing to heart cause your staff doesn't pay my bills but I know others who want to be treated better by staff might be put off and not want to return.

I'll come back because I know you will improve. You spent too much money on that place to let it fail.

I really want to like this place.  I mean honestly I do, however, my desires and this spot just don't see eye to eye!

So here's why I really wish I could rate this place 4 or 5 stars.  I love the layout and decor.  The club is divided into 3 areas, on one side there is a VIP section that is intimate and elegant, the walls are lite and furniture is lush.  Makes for a great place for dinner with friends.  The main lounge area is great to sit back and relax while taking a few cocktails or enjoying items from the menu at the restuarant downstairs (Mint Spice, which I will add food is tastey). Now on the other side of the club there is a mixture of lounge beds, ottomans and pillows, and  your traditional table settings.

Sounds like an awesome lounge for Sugar Land...except for one thing...THERE IS HARDLY EVER ANYONE THERE!  I've been 4 times and every time it's the same scene.  I'm not suggesting that it should be so packed that you can't walk through, however, hearing my echo during the DJ set's just won't cut it.

There is a market for a lounge such as M in the Sugar Land/Missouri City area.  But when you'r in the burbs you have to manage to find a way to promote your place.

its a chill lil spot.  like the 3 venues under 1 roof,  nice patio too.   its a nice get away off the beaten path, cause personally sugarland is a drive for me.  im sure when it 1st opened it was a hot spot but now i guess the crowd has weeded out, not really a full house.  which isnt bad.  drink prices are decent.   think they could use more experienced and maybe older bartenders.  i've been to places w/ all female bartenders that could hustle in a packed club.  not so much here and the crowd was light, shouldnt have to wait 15-20 min to order a drink.  gotta love the OLD biker  bouncer.

Hey M Lounge! What happened to you?  Your bartender doesn't even know how to make a Martini and gotta ask what's in it? Seriously?  I had such a good vibe with y'all before and it's different now.  Btw, who does your DJ think he is? I smiled at him and he looked at me like I'm dumb. No you dumb! Do you know who I am? I am the one that brought y'all business. But ooops business no moe!

The reviews about this place are spot-on. If you're driving all the way out to Sugar Land for a rockin', Midtown-esque good time, I recommend hightailing your butt over to Loggia so you can fit right in with the dudes in Affliction t-shirts grooving to the Britney Spears remix videos. Or if you wanna run into some Sugar Land townies from the local high schools and reek of cigarette smoke the next day, then Baker Street is the place for you. But wait, you can also get smashed on (now) overpriced sake bombs while struggling to find seating in the limited happy hour patio at Kona Grill.

As a native Sugar Landian, I'm not really looking for all that when I hit up the Town Square. Instead, I just want a chill place where I can actually find a seat, chat with friends I haven't seen in a while, and have a couple of drinks that I don't have to fight through a bar crowd to get. For that, I recommend M Lounge.

All the reviews are spot-on. There's not enough people that go there, and the venue is huge and extremely well-decorated. For that, I fear this place is going to shut down within a year, and I'm Yelping to spread the word and try to prevent this atrocity from happening.

First of all, as I said, it's huge. M Lounge is actually three different types of nightlife in one. Upon entering, you'll see the "club" venue to your left, replete with the DJ hip-hop/trance and some sort of laser show that's intense on your eyes. The the right is the lounge, with ample bar space, a billiards table, and plenty of seating. Finally, there's the outdoor patio, which is much more quiet, smoking permitted, and overlooks, well, a parking lot behind a strip mall parking lot.

Yes, this place is in the second story of a strip mall. Yes, it's next to a Target. No, there's nothing else going on within a 500 yard radius after 10 p.m., unless you count wild adventures at your neighborhood Denny's. Because the venue is so huge, even when there's quite a few people in here, it really doesn't seem crowded at all. That's fine by me, as seating is ample, even on a weekend night. If you love playing the game "guess the gender belonging to that asscheek pressed up next to me," this place is probably not for you.

The bartenders are attractive, management is helpful, and the bouncer isn't a complete jerk. Actually, he's not a jerk at all. Win win win! Service, overall, is quite attentive.

Drinks are a bit pricier that the Town Center troika mentioned above, but not overly so. Even on weekends, they do absurd sounding drink specials like $5 "Barney on Acid" shots that sound ridiculously unappetizing. You know, if you're into that sort of thing. There's also a food menu prior to midnight, which is a mix of Indian, Asian and American cuisine. The owner of this place is Indian and also owns the entire strip.

If you couldn't already tell, it's my favorite nightlife locale in the SL to date. Keep up the good work, gents.

M Lounge is in a horrible horrible location. It's way in the back, so a bit hard to find. The place is very chill. It's a great place to meet up a few friends and shoot a game of pool. It has a patio, which is ok. The drinks are ok as well. We went here over Christmas on a weeknight, it was fairly empty. I'm not certain how this place is like on a weekend, but during the weekday, it's pretty quiet.

They lost a star because after reporting that the bartender helped himself to extra tip, they have NOT:

    1)  Returned my 7 calls or

    2)  Credited back my credit card.

How many phone calls does it take to get something done at this establishment?    Poor management =  I will not be returning to this place.

My friend took us out to the M Lounge just last night and we had a blast. It is a really long drive to get there from Tomball but it was worth it. Great DJ's, great music, great crowd. Bar was extremely busy and the drinks aren't the norm but it was still good. I believe they use real fruit juices which is a different and refreshing concept. I saw the other reviews that stated it didn't have many people which I believe you all must have came early because when we got there, there weren't too many but it got seriously busy around 11-12pm'ish. I actually enjoyed the modern decor, the atmosphere and the music. Just my review though. :0)

There's one thing that's missing outta a social scene at an upscale, posh venue like M Lounge: the people.

And it's really unfortunate too, but I commend the people who took a gamble in opening this place up in Sugar Land. In the recent years of the city of Sugar Land's growth of retail, restaurants and the like there wasn't really a trendy, lounge atmosphere and M Lounge is definitely the first of it's kinda here. Yeah there's Sherlock's in SL, but that's more of a casual bar feel. M Lounge would be my "go-to" spot...if it were located in the loop, or just outside of it, heck, or even in Houston city limits period.

The space is really actually fantastic -- decorum is trendy, comfy seating, pillows, ottomans, couches and the like. There's a nice dance floor in front of the DJ booth and nice full bar. Out back is a huuuuge patio and plenty of seating out there too. The night I went for my sister's birthday party, there were a good number of people enjoying the nice weather and smoking hookah...and it was nice that it wasn't overcrowded with shoulder to shoulder people. The music was on point too.

It really DID feel like a lame middle school dance, like Phoebe A's review states. I remember the end of the night when only 10 people were dancing on the dance floor...and a couple was off in the dark corner laying out on one of the cushy floor seating areas all over each other. gah-rowwwwwss.

I had 2 shots that night, both of which were made poorly/incorrectly. At least I had bottled beer to depend on...hoorah.

Overall, venue is very impressive. Just needs the clientele to boot...but I don't think it's gonna happen. :

I feel kind of bad for this place-- the fact that it's located in Sugar Land. The venue itself is actually pretty nice-- it's spacious, with a contemporary design, cushy loungey seats around the perimeter of the club, pool tables in the area to the right of the entrance, and a huge back patio area with plenty of tables/seating.

It was just... dead. I think that the clubs downtown are that small and narrow for good reason-- because they designed smart. 50 people in a snazzy tiny downtown club looks a hell of a lot more enticing than 50 people in a vast open space that could probably accommodate a wedding reception of 250+ guests... with room to spare.

Mind you, I came on a FRIDAY night, at about 12 am. This is usually prime time for any club/lounge downtown, peak time. The emptiness of this place just made me feel really uncomfortable, like I was at a lame middle school dance that no one came to. I also had a few shots/cocktails and they were just... yuck. My red snapper tasted like cherry Robitussin, and the other shots that I'd had tasted nothing like how I knew they were supposed to.

Not sure if this place will last. While the idea of nightlife in Sugar Land is good in theory, it just makes me miss the nightlife in the city.

I came here last night on Thurs, and it was pretty dead.

I guess you can't expect much for Sugar Land on Thurs night.

The ambiance was nice, but there there wasn't too many folks there and the few folks there consisted of a total sausage fest.

I may come back here on a different night because the waitress said it's packed shoulder to shoulder on Saturday nights.

The bartender told my friend to "do him a favor and stop looking at his girl (the waitress)".  Not sure why he was threatened by him, but I thought it was pretty funny.

This a new lounge in the Sugarland area. I stumbled across this place awhile back during their construction period. The place is a really nice place once you walk inside. Great for big parties and gatherings. Drinks are ok here but, it is quite expensive. But, then again everything around here seems to be getting more and more expensive as we speak.

Food is fair in my book. Everything we got with our bottle service was deep fried. Nothing wrong with it but, eh it's just my 2 cents.

Place is super clean! And, has a nice sized patio area for you smokers.

Move over Loggia, there's a new upscale lounge in town.

Looking to shake your groove thang in the Sugar Land area? Don't wanna make the trip to the city? Me neither! Come to M Lounge!

Located behind the Super Target, this spot is on the second floor of a new Indian business strip center. It's right above the Mint Spice Bistro, and me thinks the same dude owns the entire strip. It's supposed be a multi-dimensional theme with Mint Spice Bistro downstairs, M Lounge upstairs, and Sugar Land Social Club (banquet hall) somewhere in the mix. I didn't patronize anywhere but the M Lounge, but I was seeing multi dimensional when I left.

There's Indian decor throughout this massive, opulent venue. Too often you see under capitalized "upscale lounges" cutting corners from Day 1; that's not the case here. They dropped some cash up in this bitch and have successfully created an elegant experience throughout. One side is the dance floor with a buttload of seating along the side. Then you work your way around to the bar area and there's more booths and tables. Leather and stitched, tufted cushions everywhere. Very nice!

The back patio might be the biggest patio in Houston, for realz y'all. There's room for another club back there! Don't get drunk and lose your party! There isn't any seating (yet) but we were informed that they're currently still soft opening. I'm sure these savvy guys will lay out some sort of furniture back there soon.

DJ was spinning decent House music, and the bartenders seemed pretty green. I'm sure they'll work the kinks out once the masses start kicking down the door. Rule #1 is you gotta get drinks in the people's hands, and you gotta be quick about it! The booze pays the bills!

I love the unique decor and theme, and I admire the fact that they're not  sheisty with the space itself. It's Texas sized!
