I used to go to Mallers deli all the time, they got bought by someone who didn't seem to care about the food served, got bought out again this time by a family who cares what they serve. They serve both American and Mexican food now, they make their own tortillas when you ask them too.
I am giving them 4 stars because the food is fresh and good, they also have painted and freshened up the space.
This is another spot I checked out because it is close to work. It's alright. It seems most of the delis and diners in the loop are all just "alright."
Actually getting to the diner is a little strange after you enter the building. It's on the 3rd floor of a Jeweler's Row building, and you have to walk through creepy hallways to find it. There is essentially no decor, and it had a hotel feel to it because it was so plain. The staff was really nice though, and the soup I got was awesome. I ordered a wrap that was actually pretty bland, but not bad.
I'd go back for the soup and definitely get something different than a wrap.
