Heart and Soul

This WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL had it been open. I just submitted to the Yelp team that this business is permanently closed. We were going to go there last saturday night, unfortunately it was closed and had a sign for all the patrons to go to a bar on the other side of the street.

We wandered across the street and in talking with the bouncer there he said that Heart and Soul went out of business when Lollapalooza came. Its unfortunate because I was super stoked about this place.

The hubby and I brought another couple here for a night on the town, and we had just as much fun, if not more, then the first time we went!

Our waitress was not the greatest (which is sad because last time we came, our server was rockin' it!).  

One word..SARA(H)...the female piano player...honestly, she is the reason we love the place so much! She is adorable and as skinny as my arm, but man the voice that comes out of that body is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!  She blows us away every time!

The drinks are honestly too expensive...my martini (which I still think is smaller then a normal one) was $13!!! What!!! Next time I plan to get beer!  But their food prices are seriously good!  Hot dogs for $2.75? Great price to me!  We ordered the fried pickles..yum yum!!!  If you haven't had them, you've got to try them!!!

There were quite a few bachelorette parties going on...and they were having a blast!  And I swear there was a divorce party going on as well haha!! They were workin' it too!

As always, its free to get in!! How can you beat free for an amazing time?

4 of my girlfriends and I came from out of town and wandered around the city have buzzed looking for something to do. My friend from TN insisted we go to this place since there a piano bar in Nashville that she loved. After the RUDE bouncer told us that there was a $10 cover AND it was standing room only, I wanted to leave (to which the charming gentlemen said "You can come in or leave, it doesn't matter to us!" Ah, Midwest hospitality!) but half of my group was already in there so I begrudgingly went in. Long story shot, there were countless old ladies wearing far too little clothing dirty dancing..EW. And not the kind of hot cougar type either, more like the truck stop hooker type. Impossible to sit, nowhere to even stand without being in the way of somebody. The one piano guy looked SO out of it, like a drugged out Rowlf from the Muppets. Also had to wait for 2 strung out looking ladies who have definitely...had a hard life to go do coke in the bathroom. We had one drink and thankfully left. It was definitely the worst part of our girls trip! If only they had listened to me and avoided this place!
