I'd normally never order delivery-style pizza from a chain, but I took a chance on Marco's when I first moved into the Broad Ripple neighborhood and am pretty glad I did. It's close enough to walk to (so I do; c'mon, don't ever order delivery if you have two perfectly good legs... besides, you'll need the extra exercise if you're ordering pizza), and it's cheap and quick. Good things for pizza companies...
$7 has bought me a tasty feta cheese and roma tomato on a garlic butter-swept crust that serves about 4. So good I rarely feel the need to wait an hour in line at Bazbeaux's.
They lose a star for putting pepperoni on my pizza. I don't order meat for a reason, jerks. j/k we're still friends, Marco's. But don't do it again.
After working all day, my Cali friend and I wanted something simple - and delivered - for dinner. Â He wanted pizza. Â So, we ordered online from Marco's Pizza.
I thought they were a little pricey for a chain pizza place, but it was good. Â I think we had the chicken alfredo or something like that. Â I could taste the bacon, but they skimped on the chicken. Â Thin crust was too thin and I wished they had a medium crust since I really don't like thick crust or pan pizza.
Oh well. Â They were A-ok :-)
Yeah, it's a chain. But it beats a lot of other chains, in my opinion, and it's certainly more affordable than nearby Hot Box. Marco's periodically offers good specials, so save those coupons you get on your box. I've never gotten anything but a standard pepperoni, but I've been happy with what I've eaten. They're fast, too--I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes for a pizza.
If you live in the Broad Ripple area, I'd go for Marco's over Hot Box. Sure, Hot Box is a better pizza, but not to the tune of 50% or more higher prices!
