Since I've moved to my new 'hood its safe to safe the most stable and functional relationship I've kept in the past 4 months has been with Maria's. I call (actually I grubhub online) and she comes, food and large amounts of ketchup and mustard in hand. Our talks don't change much, I usually order the Beautiful burger with friend abd a cup of cheese, it helps me get over whatever kind of crappy day its been, and it arrives, beautiful as ever. I once just ordered desert.....and it was awesome. Maria's generally has anyting im in the mood for, and like i said, it usually helps me make better whatever crap day its been. Plus they deliver fast.
Review Source:I ordered through Grubhub and got a gyro sandwich and a hot dog with fries. Why? The menu didn't specify the gyro came with anything,so I figured I'd split my order into two meals.
The delivery guy couldn't figure out how to push my door bell so he called my cell "your food's here". Okay. Didn't even thank me for tipping him and just left.
I had ordered my hotdog Chicago style, as the menu claims, "Jumbo Chicago style hot dog with tomatoes, onions, sweet relish, pickle, a dash of celery salt, on a poppy seed bun.", minus the tomatoes.
So when I open the box and see that inside is a plain hot dog on a plain bun with a pickle spear tossed by the fries, I was confused. I found a little cup of onions in the bag, packets of mustard and ketchup, and that's it! What the hell?! I scrambled to maybe find a packet of relish, something. Nope, nothing.
Then I opened up the gyro sandwich, WITH FRIES. I could've skipped over the hot dog that came with fries but I didn't even know what to expect. Oh, and another pickle spear, the hell? And the tzatziki sauce was on the side, which I can appreciate, but it wasn't enough, and I usually hate a lot of sauce so they were extra cheap on that.
The gyro was actually pretty good, not the best i've had, but not the worst either.
Don't think I'll order from here again.
I went in and ordered. Â Got a turkey sub that was actually not bad. Â The turkey was chunked up like leftover Thanksgiving turkey. Â It wasn't sliced deli meat. Â With a tangy dressing. Â
The problem is I DIDN'T ORDER IT. Â I walked in and the counter person was snippy and wanted my order before I had a chance to look at the menu. Â I ordered a Turkey, Bacon Avocado sub. Â She took the pizzas she was making into a back room and returned less than a minute later with some food. Â So either she was in such a huge hurry (and there was no one else in the joint) or it was a mistake they made for someone else. Â I took it to go because there's no place to sit. Â Didn't realize it until I was blocks away. Â Either way, it wasn't what I ordered. Â I won't be back.
I had to try this place out after Shane's glowing review and I was pleased with the results, although I'm certainly not as passionate as he is about them. :)
I ordered the Turkey Ranch sub and it was tasty! The thing that struck me the most about this place was how friendly the guy was who I ordered from. He even took 4 cents off my total to make it an even $5. FOUR CENTS!
I went at around 6pm and I was the only one there! The place is pretty warm (not the best feeling during the summer) which makes me feel bad for the poor saps who have to make subs at that temperature. I'm actually surprised they're not naturally toasted subs.
Wow! Â Possibly the best sub that I have had in a LONNNNG time! Â I got the Avocado Club sub. Â Amazing! Â The vegetables where so fresh. Â Thick slices of fresh avocado. Â Bacon. Â Turkey. Â Real Mayo. Â Red onions. Â Red Vinegarette. Â Juicy Tomatoes. Â Crispy Lettuce. Â WOW.
Maybe I was lucky and got an exceptional sub right after they first opened, but it was soooooo good. Â The guy making it up was very friendly t
I got sick of eating Subway all the time, so I gave this little place a shot a few days ago. The food was okay. Actually, the veggies didn't taste very fresh to me. And the wait was insane -- I was the only person in this tiny shop and they took 15 minutes to make a veggie sub! And the hot and humid little shop did not make the wait any more fun either. I think I'll just stick to Subway from now on!
