Came in to pick up a meatball sub after I got a pizza at La Pizza for takeout at family get together.  The meatball sub was sublime, the meatballs did not fall apart, yet were not brick like or had that frozen taste.  They tasted fresh and according to the gut at the counter were indeed made fresh.  The sauce was tasty and not to sweet and the cheese did not taste like the crappy mozzarella but rather the good fresh kind.  Yum!  Located in a strip mall this is 4 star food.  I want more and will hit this up every time we get together at her house.

I can't chime in on Marra's lunchtime sandwiches, or any of the entrees served in their adjoining restaurant, but I can tell you this: The eggplant parm/rollatini to go is the adult equivalent of your first childhood dish of Chef Boyardee, with a cool, tall glass of milk on the side and sprinkley cheese. I'm not saying they taste the same. I'm saying the experience is magical. I always find that the absolute best Italian-American food is prepared with a few simple ingredients, and it's the quality of those ingredients and the methods by which they are cooked that are the secret. And it makes me jealous as hell. I'm still trying to figure out how to replicate Rao's marinara at home. Anyway, Marra's has nailed this dish, driving my curiosity for the rest of the menu. Everything compliments seamlessly  - the breaded eggplant, the fresh, bright sauce and the bubbly moz. Don't shovel it in either, take your time, savor and let it slide itself on down. It's not a giveaway though. A single serving of the rollatini is about $8.50 without bread - although I'm sure if you asked for some they'd hook you up. The value  is in the 1/4 tray - $20 for the eggplant parm, and with a side of spaghetti, some salad, bread and vino you could easily please a group of 4, unless they are all used to Carmine portions themselves, but that's more of a personal problem than anything. Next time I aim to pickup a container of their homemade tripe - a far stretch from Beefaroni. Way to go on the takeout.

I was recommended by a co-worker to give this place a shot and I am pretty glad I did.  It is in a strip mall that runs perpendicular to the road, so it could be pretty easy to drive right by and I almost did.  I came here during the lunch hour and the place wasn't too packed.  I went with a cold sandwich and it was good.  I am looking forward to trying some of their other sandwiches in future visits, but I am totally glad I found this place.  I was very impressed by the bread.  I am a guy who usually judges a sandwich on what is between the bread, but this bread was very fresh and tasted great.  I am not sure if they make it themselves but it was good.  The sandwich itself was well prepared and had plenty of meat which is nice.

You could also see that they were cooking everything fresh behind the counter.  They had stuffed peppers that looked amazing.  This place is strictly take out since they do not have any tables or counters to sit at.  I will be heading back and am looking forward to trying some of their other items...
