I have been to this restaurant twice for an event, each about a year apart. I will talk about my latest visit in this review since it is the most "recent" of the visits.
Ravello used to be a restaurant and caterer, but now it is just strictly catering for events.
The decor, while not my taste is suitable...trying to create an Italian flair; however, the marble floors are not conducive to high heels. The place has an absolutely spotless appearance, which is very appealing to me. The look is *not* your typical catering hall (bland and boring) and that alone would make me consider holding an event here.
The event I went to had a cocktail hour, with various hot and cold dishes, including a crudite platter -- I am a fan of cold dishes and they had a variety of slcies deli meats and mozzarella and tomato...also calamari, shrimp, sausage and peppers, eggplant rollatine...etc.
Too bad I filled up at the cocktail hour.
Prior to the meal, a pasta was served...ziti which was cooked to perfection -- al dente.
By the time dinner came, I was stuffed. The choice for the event I was at was veal, chicken, or talapia. I chose the chicken which was served with potato, brocolli, peas, and sun dried tomatoes in a light sauce. It was a bit salty (although not as salty as last year's meal) but still very good. The dish lacked something and I realized that the dish could have used capers.
The drinks from the bar were made very well -- no complaints there.
A very nice experience.
