I went to the Martini Lounge in Elgin last night as part of a fund raiser for cancer patient Charlotte Eitel.
We had a wonderful time and my female companion enjoyed the peach martinis as well as other specialty martinis. They have quite a menu of martinis and other drinks. It's a task to decide what to order.
There is a free city parking garage about 1/2 block away which is nice.
The decoration is very fun and hip; there are 4 conversation pits with couches. There is also seating at the bar and at hi-top tables. Martini Lounge has a good sized dance floor and it would appear that they have a D.J. on Friday nights starting at 11:00 PM.
We're old pharts so we left about the time the D.J. was warming up. They lock the doors to the old pholks home at 11:30 on Friday you know. The place was definitely starting to rev up with young good looking singles & I imagine that it goes on steady until last call.
Overall I felt that Martini Lounge is a very enjoyable way to spend a night out with "your posse" or maybe just someone special that you want to spend some quality time with.
Check it out- you will be glad you did.
Martini Lounge in downtown Elgin is Chicagolands first telepathic singles bar. I first went here with a group from work but now I stop by whenever I am in the area.  All the honeys and dapper Dans are groomed to the hair but noone audibly speaks to eachother. All macking is done telepathically. The well drinks are poured through telekinensis by  the motionless barkeep. The only problem is that mixing the drinks drains the power grid on the block. But oh, it is worth it. the white peach martinis are heaven.
The only  dive bar element is that it has an old jukebox that takes dollar bills. No music on it per say, you can only select what species of butterflies swarm into the room.
Fridays are ladies night.
