It's an MCL. Â Dependable, unimaginative, slightly overcooked, generally passable cafeteria food. Â At this particular visit at Sunday lunch, the selection did not seem as large as usual, and the roast beef was cooked . . . well, just oddly. The macaroni and cheese did appear to contain actual cheese for once, but it was extremely salty. Â The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Â It's actually kind of expensive in relation to what you get, but I guess not compared to many other restaurants.
Review Source:I am officially old. Â I ate dinner at MCL the other night (a Friday no less).
Not only was I thrilled my husband suggested it, I had some of the tastiest fried chicken and mashed potatoes ever. Â
The Arlington location is a bit of Americana, but it's worth the visit. Â I think it offers one of the friendliest staffs in the city. Â Better yet? Â They offer carryout! Â
Minus one star for having to cross 10th street from the overflow parking lot. Â (Yes, there is an overflow parking lot, and I've stopped for many a walker and cane around the lunch hour.)
