Manley's Irish Mutt

This is my and my coworker's neighborhood go-to joint for drinks after work. I've also been here for lunch, and the sandwiches are better than I expected!! The tenderloin is very tasty - not too thick, not too thin. I always try those at any restaurant. (How can I not? I'm a Hoosier.) Good atmosphere too.

The Mutt is the perfect neighborhood bar. It's unassuming, the food is good, there is sun king on tap and I love the mix of people that call this their local. When I have had a tough day it's a great place to go sit, grab a cold beer, a cheap cheeseburger and kick back.

One tip....when there is live music, don't sit up near the stage if you want to be able to hear our friends

A few months ago my brother and I were driving down 10th and passed by Manley's Irish Mutt. My brother said they've got a selection of good burgers and pork tenderloin there. For some reason last week that conversation popped into my head and I told my brother we should go there for lunch.

He agreed so we were on our way over for a quick bite. I had originally planned to get the breaded pork tenderloin because I usually try that sandwich at every restaurant I go to that has it.

He ended up ordering the burger and and asked the waitress to upsize the burger from the 1/2 pound patty to the full pound version. Basically just doubling the meat, but when he said that, a burger started sounding a lot better than my original plan of  the pork tenderloin.

The waitress recommended the BBQ burger or something along that name and I upsized it. The burger comes with bacon, cheese, onion rings and the standard PLOT. It was serendipitous though because when my burger came out they had forgotten the BBQ sauce and onion rings. I say serendipitous because I'm generally not a fan of BBQ sauce on my burgers so when they brought out the forgotten onion rings I ended up just having a small order of onion rings to go with my burger.

Not sure I can say the "best" part of the meal was the price because it was a very good burger, but to have a burger that size and that good for less than $10, you can't really beat that can you?

Service staff was personable and friendly and I'd say I'll be sure to come back one of these days to try the pork tenderloin.
