I absolutely love Meg's Place. Â I had my birthday party here last weekend and it was the best. Â The bar was well-stocked, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. Â The owners really make you feel like close, personal friends.
This will continue to be one of my go-to places.
My roommate and I attended a birthday party here this last weekend. We had the best time! This place really does have everything!
As we walked in, we were greeted by our friends playing pool near the front entrance. We all grabbed drinks at the bar and found a spot on the outside patio. I guess we hit a particularly good night because we were treated to a performance by a breakdancing duo who tour around the LA area! We wound up making friends with one of the dancers, and learned all about his skills.
I guess my only issue with this place was that it's not very handicap friendly. I broke my foot a few weeks ago, and now I'm stuck in a cast until further notice. The outdoor patio was really inviting and homely, but for the sake of keeping my foot elevated, I felt more comfortable inside at the main bar. But as soon as I'm back on two feet, you can bet I'll be all over this place playing pool, beer pong and who knows what else!
This place is such a good find! It's the perfect spot for a chill Saturday or Sunday, but also knows how to rev up for the night time party scene.
Although fyi - Â it is true that weekends tend to be better for crowds. I've heard it's totally dead on the week days.
P.S. The menu is outstanding - I recommend the Rice Krispy treats made fresh in the kitchen daily!
Meg's Place is the place to be on a Friday, Saturday or Tuesday. Â Always stocked with wine, you'll never wait for a drink. Â Hang out by the fire, play a game of beer pong, or even bring your suit and set up camp in the always warm hot tub. Â And on a great night, you'll find the regulars engaged in a game of Cards Against Humanity or Taboo. Â It's a pretty exclusive place, so make sure to get to know one of the owners to ensure you'll always have a spot.
Review Source:I actually worked construction on this place when it was being renovated... Who knew? Â So by the time I wandered in for a few drinks, I actually knew the owner pretty well and got a great treatment. Â Now I'm here a few nights a week. Â The food is amazing (try the enchiladas!) and they have a great rotating wine selection.
The hot tub out back is legendary for some intense late-night soirees. Â I highly recommend leaving your inhibitions and your bathing suit at the door.
