My favorite bar in Lynnwood.  Good and reasonably priced food and beer, incuding Lynnwood's Big E.  Friendly and efficient service, including Mel, who took over and turned the place around in 2009.  Good live music several nights a week. See the "Everett Rock" site for the schedule.  An expansion in March of 2012 allowed for a nice stage and good sized dance floor.

Many of the patrons here form a strong community, partly because many are motorcycle enthusiasts.  They dedicated a weekend in 2013 to raise funds to help a friend with medical expenses, including a bike rally, auction, raffle and several bands, all day Sunday.  Emoryfest  was a huge success.

    HOLY COW.

I was here years ago... and the place was kinda.... scary.

Now it's had a make over and it's a pretty cool spot. Definitely a diverse crowd, which is cool with me. Food was good and had pretty standard beers on tap. Prices average.

Service speed could be better... not that our server was bad... just that, I think she was the only one! Yikes.

I was invited out Mel's Old Village Pub by a group of friends and decided I would stop in and stay for an hour or so, but after arriving, I ended up staying until 1a.m. I had a great time!
I went on a Friday night and  a live band called Essex Junction was playing country music. We ended up staying and dancing for much of the night. The band had a great sound and the crowd seemed to be enjoying themselves dancing, playing pool and just hanging out.
I don't know how often they have a live band but the place also has at least 3 large televisions so I can imagine on game nights the place is a great hang out spot to go and watch the game.
There is a large bar you can belly up to, or you can settle at the fireside table which looked pretty cozy, but we sat up near the band and dance floor
I didn't order food but next time I will enter hungry and try out their menu--they looked like they had a full kitchen but I am not sure on that one.
    Give it a try--

Wat an AMAZING job Mel has done turning the OVP into a fun, comfortable, classy place. Never fail to have a great time when we stop in. The remodel has really given the place a face lift! We absolutely love this place!

Went here couple weeks ago with some buddies. Didnt know what to expect til I saw all the motorcycles up front. Totally not my kind of crowd but no one bugs ya and everyone inside seemed chill and having a good time. Drinks are typical bar stuff I guess, bartenders were all very nice. They had a constant rotation of the same ppl singing karaoke, it was fun to watch. Not a bad time at all.

They take cards and have new ownership.  Good changes!  This is one of the best dive bars around.

The service is awesome and friendly as all get out.  They have trivia on Tuesday nights and bands, karaoke, or some sort of entertainment most other nights.  They are expanding and thriving.  Good beer choices (they even have local Big E on tap) and awesome pours.  Best bartenders around to boot.  I hear they have food that's pretty good; I 'll have to try and update when I do.

After looking up reviews for all the karaoke places in my area, I decided to check out Mel's Old Village Pub. I came here on a Saturday night. For some reason, I always feel at home at biker bars, and this place was no exception! I walked in and the place was already pretty full! My friends and I found a table, though, right next to a Seafair Pirate's birthday party!!!

The karaoke was really fun, with a very supportive crowd. The selection and sound system were not great, but I had an awesome time nonetheless! The food was good pub food. They had a beautiful roundtable around a fireplace, pool tables and arcade games in the back. The service was awesome and super super friendly! She introduced herself to us when we came in and made us feel very welcome!!! They also have live bands on some nights!

This is a fairly typical neighborhood bar, however they really do have a good selection of beers on tap, including a lot of local brews.
They do take credit cards, so not sure what the last reviewer was referring to.
The space is kinda small, and was pretty tight on a busy saturday night, but our group of 4 was able to snag a table in the back.
They have some really great people working here. We had asked the bartender to call us a cab, and the taxi was taking forever to get there, so she had called them again to get an ETA. After waiting almost an hour for a cab (this was only midnight, not even closing time) the bartender apologized profusely (even though it wasn't her fault), and one of the other bar employees actually drove us home. I was amazed at the hospitality here.

For many years The Old Village Inn, which in fact is call Old Village Pub, was not a place I would visit much. NOW I do! It is under new ownership. It is now refered to as Mel's Old Village Pub. The new owners is super cool and working hard to clean up the old pub. There will be daily specials as well she will be bringing in some new micro brews and maybe even some entertainment in the future. Keep an eye on this place as the changes come. I give it 3 stars because in the last week she has done soooo much. I just hope it keeps getting better.

UPDATED TO 5 STARS! Sorry it was long over due. GREAT BAR!
