Agree with Tom T's review and as such, will review this Miami Subs/Nathan's two-in-one on three principles. Â
Food: Never had Miami Subs before so not sure if it matches the brand. Â Food was hot, but taste was so-so. Â We had a chicken sandwich ($4.95), a chicken pita combo ($7.59), and a burger ($4.50).
Location: it is in the terminal past security and there are only a few other choices (sushi stand, donut stand, a glorified Sbarro called La Cucina something, and a place called Casa de Fresco which had pre-made sandwiches and a couple of pre-cooked hot items.) Â For someone who has eaten in a bunch of airports, this might be the slimmest pickings I've ever seen. Â Heck, I'd be happy with a Chili's...
Service: To me, this is the most important component. Â Not really service, but does the food come out fast. Â That is the reason they call it fast food after all. Â Line moved at an okay speed as there were two cashiers. Â People in front of us received their food fairly quickly (important side note: they ordered hot dogs which are waiting pre-made on the stand where the "kitchen" passes food to the cashiers/tray assemblers.)
From the time we ordered (i.e. not counting the time we were already waiting in line), it took 14-15 minutes to get our food. Â We nearly missed our flight.
Thanks to Sandy (manager?) for expediting our food after she overheard us talking amongst ourselves that we might have to leave without getting our food. Â We were the last ones on the plane, bag in hand.
