Its a bit rough around the edges... to say the least, but its one of the last old school no bulls*** bars around.

Quaint little Irish bar that's great to stop by if you are in the area, as it is full of characters with interesting stories. Good ole Irish locals. I met a guy who knew Bette Midler, another telling a story of acquiring Bob Shepherd's autograph.

You may hear the horn of the elevated subway train passing by at certain times, for there is that one conductor who knows the place, and honks whenever he passes.

Get a pint of Guiness for ~$4.50, self-proclaimed to be the best pint anywhere according to the bartender. There are some arcade games, and in the separate back room, you can go play a game of pool on a majestic table. The bar puts Jeopardy on the TV at 7pm. If you ask them to put any sport game on, they'll put it on if they can get it. After a late night game, they may turn it to Seinfeld to cap off the night.

Really friendly bartenders to fit right in with the locals, and don't be surprised if one person occasionally buys the entire bar a drink.

I was here today around 3 o'clock after working out. I had never noticed this place was there until today so I thought what better time than the present to check it out.

I came in and there were about 4 people at the bar. I like the atmosphere of the pool table and the dart board, not to mention the video game machines. The Amstel Light was $4 and so was the screwdriver with Smirnoff. The bartender said it was 1/2 price leading me to believe the screwdriver would have been $8 if it wasn't happy hour. I am not sure exactly the hours of happy hour since I didn't ask.
