Wife and I find ourselves here about once per month.  Lately it's been on a steady decline.  Had the blackened prime rib sandwich Friday night.  Over cooked and at least 30% fat.   Disgusting.  Took a picture for any doubters!  One tip if you go here; always wait until your appetizer arrives before ordering entrees unless you want them served one minute apart.  The one bright spot? The wings. Meaty and properly cooked in a simple wing sauce.

The rib eye was little well done since I requested medium but it was still great. Wings were excellent! Tender and Juicy! The waiter was polite and nice. I thought I was lucky after I saw some reviews here? ^_~

This place is alright... not super special, just alright. It wasn't very packed when I went to dinner so service was fast. The employees were nice enough and the food was just okay. I have to say that the prices were very reasonable and I would go again if there was a sporting event I wanted to watch.

Took my girlfriend here for a dinner date a couple nights ago. We got seated right away, and our server was friendly but also a little awkward. We ordered nachos as our appetizer, I order a zinger mountain melt for my meal and my girlfriend ordered the bistro burger. The food was OK, nothing special, I've definitely had better "sports bar" food. The aftermath though was not so good. Later that night I got extremely sick, throwing up from food poisoning. I'm not sure if it was bad food or it's like that all the time, but the bad experience left a bad taste in my mouth, literally.

    2 stars.

If you are in Davie you dont have many choices. Ale House is the way to go. I've had a couple of experiences here...they are as follows:

    1) Fantasy Football Draft Day -- Millers stepped up to the plate on this one. Pitchers of beer and our own private section with a about five appetizers. Great job. The waitress was pretty bad and not attentive but it was a great deal price wise.

    2) Lunch! -- Booo horrible. Why? After bringing me 2 beers the waitress finally asked if I wanted some "food with that" She intuitively separated the check but took several minutes to ring up 4 people.

Its the best around, but all and all, that doesn't say much

A nice chill place to watch the game, fight, or any other sporting event.  The place has good deals for lunch, with a different special everyday.  The food is cheap and good.  What more do you need? I suggest getting their clam chowder.  Personally its the best clam chowder I've ever had.  The wings are awesome.  I like the honey mustard breaded wings the most with hot garlic in 2nd.  for dessert get the captain jack's buried treasure.  it's an ice creamish dessert.

    love,

Popped in over the weekend to grab a quick beer and light snack.  I have and will probably always be somewhat of a fan of this chain.  The menu is huge offering all kinds of bites, salads, burgers, and en tree's no matter what you have a taste for.  They offer great specials on beer and I noticed they have upped their game by offering many craft beers for a great price as well.

From the hostess to our waitress they were both very sweet and gave us great service.  We had the spinach dip which is very good, creamy, with just the right amounts of spinach verses cheese ratio and really like the chips, thin and fresh.  They also give you a side of diced up tomatoes and onions, yummy taste great on top of the dip.

We shared a walnut apple salad with a flat iron steak on top.  When it arrived to our table I was stoked, it looked sensational.  Romaine lettuce, diced green apples, candied walnuts, dried cranberries, with goat cheese in a vinaigrette with thin slices of perfectly cooked medium rare steak. This salad was daunting!

We ate every last bite, got our check as we were rushing to get somewhere.

Really 3.5 stars, great food, good beer, and very good service!

Can not wait to go back, out of my way to have that salad all to myself next time...hee her...

Friendly staff food is always good for the price but the mix drinks or like water make sure you ask for a extra shot.

The last few times have been abysmal. SOggy salads, wrong orders, waiting forever. Ale Houses used to rock, but seriously, this one is kinds the pits. I used to like it because it was hidden, so less busy, but it has grown to be sub-par-mediocre. in other words, awful. Thought it was a particular location, but then notice other ale houses in the area are pretty slacking as well. what is going on with this chain?? not pleased.

Had lunch there with a client. The service was fabulous without being overbearing or too chatty--I hate that. Friendly greeting at the door, immediately seated, water quickly followed.

I tried the Zingers, which are a sort of cross between chicken fingers and chicken stripped, fried of course, but to all breading. They were very tasty.

I have eaten here a half a dozen times before and never had a bad experience.

Friendly staff, fast food and an overall decent experience.. Alcohol prices our great, 5 dollar doubles of captain and smirnoff vodka! if your looking for a nice restaurant / bar experience it's not bad, for a chain type place.

Came here for lunch yesterday and it was the worst experience EVER!!!! We come here all the time but today will be the day that stops us from ever coming back. It took 30 minutes just for our oysters to come to the table. One order was steamed and one was raw, the steamed ones had to get sent back because they were partially steamed ( and I'm using the word PARTIALLY very lightly) my boyfriend hates raw oysters! So our waitress finally brings the tray back and it was completely OVER STEAMED! Ugh, we just decided to not take the oysters at all. Then it takes ANOTHER 35 minutes just for our pasta entrees to reach our table!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!! Other tables that came in long after us were already halfway done with their food!! So ridiculous. Never again.

I was reading other " less than friendly" reviews about this place. Honestly I have never had a complaint about the ale house. Sure it's not a four star dining experience but it is decently priced and the menu is pretty vast. I found the service to be consistent every time I have been here. Friendly and average on the speed of things. On weekends it fills up with a pretty large crowd. The food for a sports bar is right up there with uncle al's and flannigans. Their wings are pretty good as well as their "zingers". Other things that I recommend are the fried shrimp and sandwiches. I would definitely try this place.

Another town...another Ale House....plenty of tvs for watching Saturday College Football...Got the 50 wings for $24...service was good but the place was surprisingly empty for a college football day...Oh well, needless to say it met my expectations for an alehouse.

Lunch service is terrible.  Went with a group of co workers and waited our entire lunch hour for our food.  When I spoke to the manager, Jennifer, she acted annoyed and mentioned that she was busy in the kitchen. I understand that things get busy but there is never a reason to be rude about it.  Between the waitress and the manager we never got so much as a sorry for our long wait.  There are plenty of other places in the area with similar food and much better customer service.

This is not a good place to go a all! Apparently the manager and the cook are the same person during the week!!! and not only that, it takes her 45 minutes to prepare three salads! when we asked our waitress about the status of our food she couldn't care less about our table...

Their water taste horrible, the service is really bad, and I can't say anything about the food because after 45 minutes of waiting for a grilled chicken salad, I ended up leaving the place and sending the COLD chicken salad back to the cook (or the manager, whatever!).

    So long Ale House!!

This is not 5star dining so don't go here expecting that. Menu is pretty comprehensive with the usual flare and great prices. They have TV's throughout so that would be great for watching games etc.  Vey relaxed place. Will visit again.

This place was just average. It was not unique. Nothing to write home about.

The one thing that I enjoyed was that we had a really bubbly, energetic waitress, who was trying really hard to service us well. She exceeded expectations.

The food was decent. They do a good job of being consistent with their meals, but do not expect anything amazing.

For sports and a beer, it is not a bad place to drink and catch a game with a group of friends.

I like this place. I go to the one in Davie FL on University just south of I-595. I have never had a bad food experience. One time, the server was very inattentive. She was more interested in flirting with a table of single guys than checking on my wife and I. This happens every so often. The servers are painfully unaware that my wife and I have money and, with me being in the business, we tip very well for good service. 25% is a bottom tip.
Anyway, my last two visits featured some really good items off the menu.
The fish tacos are excellent. They would have been well-served to have some sour cream and/or guacamole as an accompaniment, but maybe it is available on request. The fish was cooked perfectly, the tortillas were fresh and pliable, the veggies very crisp. The beans and rice were a great accompaniment.
On my most recent trip, I tried something indicated by a "new" indicator on the menu. I may have the name wrong, but it was something like The Key West Citrus Chicken Salad. It was awesome. A very crisp and cool salad with kind of a southwest bent. Corn, Black Beans and Tortilla Strips are mixed with traditional Salad Items and tossed in a Balsamic Vin. It is topped with Grilled, Sliced Blackened Chicken that is drizzled with a Key Lime Sauce. Very good.
My only complaint is that the draft beers are a little on the expensive side. I had a Blue Moon and it was $5.25 for what appeared to be a 16oz glass. That seems a little steep, especially at lunch when they look like they could use some more business.
Other than that, it is a great place to eat.

I never get tired of the Ale House! Whether it be here in Davie, Hollywood, Orlando, etc. They have great food, and it's a great place for groups. Bring your friends there, chill, and have a beer. There are thousands of TVs around the place. Watch football, baseball, whatever is playing on the other TVs, or all of the above. The servers are always so friendly and my experience is never far from great :)

I can't give an actual review, because I didn't get to eat here.

We had a large group, and called ahead. We were told we could have 2 adjacent tables in 45 minutes.  However, from the time we called we ended up waiting at least an hour and twenty minutes. We were told several times that we would be seated "in 15 minutes", "in 2 minutes" but they failed to deliver each time.

I understand that it's difficult to know exactly when customers will leave and when a table will be ready, but it certainly wasn't a good experience to feel like we were being strung along.

I brought a client from out of town in to watch the Dolphin game on a sunday 2 weeks ago. We requested the server put us at a table where we would have good view of the game for us both, she consulted with her preplanned TV schedule and sat us in front of a excellent tv we could both see. We ordered the wings which are greasy and not very tasty. Also we got a pitch of Landshark beer, this is a good beer but at $10 a pitcher is more than I normally pay. For the entree we got the fried seafood combo and baked seafood sampler. The fried seafood is not seasoned in any way, just breaded and fried and was kind of greasy. The baked sampler was better, the stuffed clams were great, the fish was bland and again unseasoned. The sevice was fine but slow. The thing that dropped the rating the most was near the end of the first quarter the manager walked over in front of my table and changed the channel on the Tv to a different game. When I protested he said we could still see the game on a smaller tv 25 feet away and behind me, then walked away and hid in his office. My client was very upset and couldn't believe this was "how bad customer service was in florida". I insisted our server move us to a table where we could watch to game, the manager came out and acted upset that things were disrupted, I asked him why he insisted on changing the channel at such a late time he said " I have no control over what game is on what channel, that is done in our corporate office". By the time the food was moved and we were settled everything was cold. We left at half time, no apology, he didn't even check to see if everything was ok.This will be the last time I will go to this restaurant and will think twice about going to any other millers ale house.Bad Food + Bad managment= a bad meal

The Ale House is a great place to go for consistency, sports, and a good time.  I've never had a problem with the food or service, and the menu has a wide variety of options available - vegetarian, seafood, chicken, beef, etc.

The food is inexpensive, and there are numerous locations to choose from (Parent company is Miller's Ale House.).  There's not much to type about a simple concept, unless I had something bad happen.  I'm not sure what Denise is talking about, but I've never had a bad experience.

Dinner at the Ale House was good.  Nothing spectacular, but the seafood platter I ordered was good and satisfying.  They had great drink specials (cheap pitchers, cheap shots, cheap drinks depending on the day of the week) and the service was decent.  Food took a bit long to come to the table, but it was a cool place with plenty of TVs to check out the game.
