Excellent seafood- 30 shrimp buffalo style and the seafood bake are amazing. Also they have this pork dish that is baked, I forgot the name but it is absolutely killer and you have to try it. The lobsters, crab and shrimp were very fresh. Wasn't impressed with raw oysters- Wait staff is hit or miss but I am telling you- the food rocks and the beer selections on tap rock! Must go!
Super casual sports bar kinda place with killer food.
Ok, so I finally made it for the Wednesday night lobster dinner and once again, the place was packed! I love to see all the co-workers gathered after work to hang out. shows good moral as far as I am concerned. I only wish that I could figure out what their secret is. The chicken was bad, the lobster mediocre so what is it? I left it at three stars because for someone who's enjoyed a lobster in Maine, I shouldn't be too critical, right? I do need to ask the owner though, Is that really 1 1/4lb?
Review Source:food and service were fine at a good price. Â problem is that upon checking my credit card statement I found that someone at miller's ran my credit card through twice, one receipt of course not signed. Â I am still awaiting my promised refund. Â Would be nice if the manager had offered me a free meal for my trouble, but that hasn't happened either....check your credit card statements!
Review Source:Across the st from Dave & Busters I was at a couple of nights before. Â Here they had actual bartenders who were behind the bar and wanted to serve customers. Â
They actually had many different games on the dozens of TV's. Â Got to watch my game as they actually had the local team on the TV, what a concept that D&B's doesn't grasp. Â
Ordered some smoked fish dip for an app and it was very good. Â
Then I took a gamble and ordered the seafood mac & cheese that turned out very good. Â
Over all the place was hoping and the staff was hustling to actually wait on the customers. Â
Good service combined with a great atmosphere and cold beer with very good food.
It's called the hospitality business for a reason maybe D&B's should look across the st to see how it works.
Definitely would visit this Ale House again.
They wouldn't let us watch a Dolphins game. In South Florida at a sports bar with 60 TV's they said some were already on that station. Â So I guess if I put my head on backwards that day then there wouldn't have been a problem. Â The waitress wanted to switch the channel but the manager wouldn't let her.
Review Source:I tried to become a regular here but after 5 tmes I quit. The food is typical Ale House fod which is decent, nothing to write home about, but the service is meh......
The first time there was a great waitress, next 2 times not good at al, then another good one then a really rude one.
The bad ones made me decide tht it simply was not worth the risk of another bad experience when there are so many other good places to eat in that area.
So the 3 stars are for the 2 good tmes, the 0 stars are for the other 3.
Almost forgot about my bad experience here. Â About two months ago I went here with two friends who were hesitant to eat here and I convinced them to give it a try. Â We ordered some chips and salsa and some sandwiches. Â Long story short, there were two tiny german roaches in the salsa and I will never eat there again. Â When we talked to by the manager he insisted that they spray for roaches twice a month and when they do "sometimes this happens and it's out of our control." Â Ummm yea...if roaches are out of your control I will not be eating here again thanks. Â I'll stick to your cheap drinks.
Review Source:I always enjoy their naked chicken wings. I've been to several locations and every order was pretty consistent. But then again, can you really mess up deep fried wings?
It's a decent place to hang out, I always like the high chairs so that when I'm eating my wings, my feet are dangling off the ground. :)
Chillaxin, this place is consistent no matter which one you visit in any city it seems. They offer great daily specials with very good prices. Walked in late last night hungry, and very thirsty. The place was crowded for it being as late as it was for a weekday night.
Our very nice waitress came over and took our drink order, great a few beers while we looked over the menu. We ordered blackened zingers and a steak Philly sandwich. Why do I like this place? TV screens throughout the entire place, nice size bar, good specials on beer and cocktails, decent food. And the prices can not be beat.
We enjoyed our food and service was great! Really 3.5 stars...
Open late, get some good grub and drinks in a fun very lively place. It's like a small step up from a good dive bar. Come as you are, and well just have fun!
This was my second visit to this particular location, and I was sorely disappointed.
No wait for a table this Sunday morning, but that's where the nice good news ends.
Our food was pretty horrible -
- Bistro Burger was served on a regular bun (instead of a ciabatta roll) and was stale and rock hard
- Miller Steak Sandwich meat was tough and gristly
- French fries were soggy and limp
- Glasses of Diet Pepsi tasted suspiciously like regular, finally resorted to water instead
To make matters worse, our server completely disappeared after dropping off our food - had to go to the bar to get silverware, and finally caught the attention of a manager.
The manager on duty crudely came over and asked my friend if "that bun was better" - no apology, no semblance of any customer service or concern of any kind.
If Spirit Airlines were to open a restaurant, this is probably what it'd be like - gets you full, but with awful service and food on the way.
In a bind, and needed dinner late one night so my boyfriend phones in an order to pick up a couple salads.
Long story short - I have no intention of eating here again.
I get that it's a bar so maybe they're "bar food" (wings, fries, etc) is decent... I wouldn't know. But I do know that it was the WORST caesar salad I have ever had. I got the caesar because I'd never eaten there and figured it would be the easiest salad for them to make - and therefore the hardest to messup, but that's not the case.
The dressing didn't taste anything like caesar dressing. The lettuce tasted like it had been sitting uncovered exposed to refrigeration. I don't know how to describe the taste but having worked in food service for almost 10 years... you just... recognize it. I had them add blackened salmon to the salad - which also tasted nothing like salmon. So I ended up throwing most of the salad away :(
My advice: Don't waste your money!
The drink specials here suck and so do the drinks. I had one of their margaritas that lacked flavor and tequila. Ugh the nerve. I gave this place 2 starts because their 35 shrimp scampi pasta was really delicious and I was surprised that it wasn't popcorn shrimp.
Lastly our server was rude and impatient. He rushed our orders and we had to ask for silverware after our food was served. My friend asked for a small to go box and he said they ran out. Only to bring another person at our table a small to go box. lol
When I lived in Florida, I loveddddd coming to the ale house. I came back, and the zingers were smaller, and it didnt seem like the typical ale house quality. I was very disappointed. The service was decent, Im not sure if it was this particular location or what but man was it pretty bad.
Review Source:Gotta love the Ale Houses in Fl. Not my neighbohood one but I drove to this one after I picked up my amazing girl from the airport. We were starving, and stopped by. The service was good, the food just like we ordered it. It never fails.
I will continue being a fan of the place. For lunch, for dinner or for drinks, oh and I forgot, College and NFL football too....
The chicken quesadillas were quite good, also the guacamole doesn't come with them so you have to ask for it. The rice and beans on the side were pretty nasty and gooey. I ordered a side of steamed brocolli which was pretty flavorful, not too overcooked, and tasted delicious dipped in a side of melted cheese! The beer specials are always pretty good, and the service is just ok. I would go back.
Review Source:Last day of our vacation and someone at the hotel suggested this place. There were six of and we all LOVED our food. I had the Seafood Mac n Cheese and thought that it was awesome. Someone else had the Pork Shank, I can't remember what it was called but the meet fell off of the bone and tasted great. Â The service was good, the beers were cheap and the men were happy with all of the TVs. I really wish that we had a place like this in CA.
Review Source:I have been to millers ale house alot and have watched it decline over the years. I went at least three times a week. The service has gotten worse and the food is awful now. The last time I went a friend and I were going to the movies and stopped in for a quick bite (which took over 45 minutes for tacos and a sandwich). We had to have it boxed to go. As we began to eat before the movies her food was ice cold and my food had a long piece of hair. I emailed the General Manager and never heard back. They have offically lost me as a customer.
Review Source:I go to this place pretty often. I like it and it is definitely in my regular rotation. Sometimes I go with my family and get a pretty good meal. Both me and my parents love the wings. Sometimes, however, I'll go with a group of friends and have a great time. It's a good place to watch the game or a fight, grab a bite, and get a pitcher of beer or something to drink to wash it all down.
As a side note, one big minus about this place for me is that they recently changed the salsa. I used to love getting the chips and salsa. The dip is amazing, but it was nice to get unlimited chips with their salsa. Now I just can't enjoy that as much anymore. But it wasn't enough to bump it down from a four, at least not for me.
This time we visited, it looked pretty crowded.. and was a bit surprised to get a seat right away. It was also a quick service..
My chinese chicken salad came in with noodles and spicy peanut sauce. The combination of that with vinegar made it kind of soggy for a take home meal from the left over. Next time I'll eat less wings to have room in my stomach for salad. lol
This time I made it for the $1 happy hour drinks - the tequila sunrises. :)
I don't usually come here to watch any games.
Only to drink when there is nowhere else to go.
And sometimes grab something unhealthy to eat.
(Late night menu: Mozzarella sticks, spinach dip, 10 wings, mini burgers & stuff  like that all for $5 each after 10pm every night)
Never really sit at an actual booth, I prefer sitting in the hightop sections, especially with a big group, but it usually takes a little bit longer  to get one of these tables. Hightops are just way funner than booths.
Thursdays = ladies night, so it gets PACKED. Have fun trying to get a table, or even a spot to stand in.
What do I drink here? The pitchers of Miller light are five bucks. Â Or you can get a bucket of five bud beers for $6.95. Pretty cheap.
Vegas bombs and shots like those are 5 bucks also.
It's helpful to know one of the bartenders. Otherwise you'll spend a lifetime trying to get ones attention. Unless you have a nice rack.
Today this branch was the place we decided to go for a quick bite to eat before watching Avatar at the nearby Regal 18 Cinema. We had 40 minutes before showtime and were STARVING. We bought our movie tickets and hightailed it over to the Ale House praying we were hitting it at the right time, after the "formal' lunch hour and just before the early birds.
Seated immediately and after a quick look at their menu decided on an order of mini pigskins for me, a BBQ beef sandwich for hubby and mac n cheese and hot dog for the kidsters. One pitcher of fizzy beer and we were set. "OH and we are catching a movie in 40 mins. OK?."
Well, everything came out pretty fast. My pulled pork sliders were delicious and just enough to satisfy maybe two people if not all that hungry. At $6.99 for four sliders with fries this was great. The BBQ beef sandwich was just OK, but again, we were hungry and the price was right.
Our server Adriana was on top of things, we never wanted for anything and she had us out of there in a half hour.
The Ale Houses are a great chain. Reliable for the most part and with great value specials like their $4.95 lunch specials Mon - Fri 11am - 4pm. Yeah its not gourmet, but its solid bar food and I LOVE how they have the sports schedules printed on their Lunch Specials and Sports Page menu.
I'm reducing my overall rating for this location to 3 stars. Â If I were basing my review solely on yesterday's visit, I'd have probably given it less. Â I went here with a colleague on Monday at about 3:30 p.m. for a very late lunch/early dinner. We walked in and stood at the podium waiting to be seated, while the hostess and what appeared to be her manager or another employee sat in the first booth, saw were were there, but didn't stop their conversation and come to seat us for about 2 minutes.
The place was fairly empty. In fact, there were literally more bar and service staff than there were customers. We were seated at one of the high tables with bar stool seating; I had to swap stools twice before I found one that wasn't sticky when I sat on it, and the table she sat us at hadn't been wiped off after the last patrons had sat there, as it was sticky in several spots. Â After about 5 minutes our waitress arrived to take our drink order and sent someone to wipe down the table. Though there were only 3 or 4 tables with customers seated at them and probably 1/2 dozen people at the bar, our drinks didn't arrive for at least another 7 or 8 minutes. Once we got our drinks and ordered our food, it did arrive fairly quickly and everything we ordered was very good (I had the Chinese Chicken Salad which was a bit unique and very tasty, my friend had a chicken sandwich with fries).
For this most recent visit I'd give the food, menu, beer selection and dozens of plasma and LCD screens showing various sports channels a combined 4, but the service and cleanliness, at least where we were seated, gets a 1 or 2. Â I also knocked this place back to 3 stars because the last time I came here about 3 months ago for dinner on a Friday evening, the place was packed with seniors. Â Not that I have a problem with that, but when you're heading out with a group of friends to find a place for dinner and drinks on a Friday night, you're usually looking for a place with a bit of a younger clientele to interact with. Â The last thing I expected from an "Ale House" which is billed as a pub and sports bar, was to find it filled with wheelchairs and walkers on a Friday night.
We go to this ale house location once a year when we're down at a conference in S. Florida for a relaxing night of cheap beer (yeah $5 pitchers) decent grub and good hospitality. Â The food is OK (burgers, wings, ribs) to good (pasta orleans, bahamian dolphin). The kitchen can be slow but the waitstaff is cool. Its a very laid-back atmosphere with cheap drink specials and sports every which way you turn.
Review Source:I went here last night after dinner. I had been craving a raspberry mojito that I'd had at the one in NMB so since this place was a chain I thought I'd try this location since it was closer to me.
Walking in there was like deja-vu. It looks almost identical to the NMB Ale House. My friend and I sat at the bar which was perfect for people watching (things got more interested when grandpa and grandma came in for a drink around 10. Shouldn't they be in bed at their age?).
The drink was good but not as good as the one I had at NMB but still a good deal for the price. Things got even better when we lost track of time because we were so deep in conversation and I then realized that it was 10:00pm. Could it possibly be "ladies night?" It was! So we hung out for more drinks and didn't pay a penny more from then on. It was great! Good to know their ladies night is still on Thursday. At this point I think I know of a free place to drink almost every day of the week! :)
Overall, there was nothing unique about this location but still a cool place to go. I'll be going back.
I have never been a big fan of the Ale House, Â just too commercial for me. The bartenders are never that friendly. Â But, if you do go to eat dinner, try the Ossobusco - Marinated Pork Shank - Â it is dam good. Â And, if you like Miller Lite you can beat the $5 pitchers they have all the time.
Review Source:Not just a favorite watering hole. Also a favorite place to eat. My only problem with this place is it's owned by Miller's and they only have specials on Miller's which is my least favorite domestic beer. Anyways, I love their french onion soup. The cobb salad is good. The zingers...yum! However, I almost always order the Miller's Steak Sandwich. It's not phillie style but it's different in a good way. The bread is garlic bread and the cheese is thick and melted. This is a really good sandwich. In fact, I'm thinking about getting take out for lunch now that I'm talking about it. They have a great bar that's always got a few straglers gathered around it no matter what time you go and there are big TVs everywhere. Great sports bar! Also try one of their millions of other locations. (i.e. North Miami, Davie, Gainesville, Orlando, Pines..and those are just the ones that I've actually been too)
When I was in college (UF-Gainesville) we used to go here and wednesdays and they had great deals on buckets of beer. Whenever we were done with a beer we would put it back in the bucket upside down. Everyone did it and I still can't figure out why. Maybe like a little victory dance, equivalent to smashing the can on your head. Who knows? But either way I love Ale House!
