I'm actually not sure why people gave this restaurant such a low rating.

I went there for the first time a few days ago, but just to get food to go. I was greeted by the friendly waitress. We weren't sure what to order yet so she gave us more time to look at the menu. She eventually took our order.

We ordered the Penang noodles (this is very tasty!), the Thai fried rice with BBQ pork (it's alright. I've had better ones elsewhere), and the Spring rolls (they're good). What I like the most was that they used a good paper bag, gave us plastic plates, chili, and crushed red peppers as well. All were put nicely in the bag.

They may not be the best Thai restaurant I've tried but given the low food prices and there aren't really other Thai restaurants nearby, this is quite a good spot.

I haven't tried dining in there so I can't really comment on it yet. But I'll definitely come back for more. I saw they have a special dish called Pad-kapow which looks appealing. Gonna try this next.

Fairly skimpy meat portions that feature lots of fat make for avoidable steak fare. Chicken dishes seemed to have similar lack of meat, and were generally on the bland side both in taste and appearance. Pad thai looked filling - maybe that was the right dish to order.

It should be somewhat telling that at a table of three, we killed one and a half jars of sambal oelek (the spicy red sauce). Lacking in the flavor department, perhaps.

Years ago, this used to be one of my favorite restaurants but as of late, I find it a little less appealing.  Their Thai iced coffee isn't as strong, their portions aren't as large and each time I go, it seems most people order out rather than dine in so I'm often one of the few sitting in there that isn't staff!  I think I have to give them a try again to see if maybe it's better.
