O Lagar Restaurant

six of us went for dinner today and the food was delicious!  We had the chicken and rice, pork medalions and the steak and shrimp dinners.  The chicken and rice was plentiful and tasty, the other dinners came with white rice, savory vegetables and homemade potato chips. All the meats were well cooked, juicy and nicely seasoned. The dessert came out before the cappuccino, which were tepid. The serradura dessert was nice, the flan wasn't sweet enough and the rice pudding had an odd taste. So we decided we would eat there again but go elsewhere for dessert and coffee.

I went here tonight with my sister in law for her birthday and it was very good. I had paella and she had lamb chops. She ordered them medium rare but they were  little more cooked but she said they were excellent. My paella was good. The service was a little slow but it was the waiters first day. Olives in garlic were to die for. I went here because of a Living Social deal and the food was super reasonably priced and the portions were generous. The sangria was awesome and everyone was friendly. The dining room had many people and there was a party in the next room.
I will definitely go back.

Had lunch there over the weekend and had a great experience.  The entrees were outstanding in quality, large in quantity and very reasonably priced.  The house Portuguese wine by the glass was excellent.  Home made Portuguese desert and espressos also very good.  While the restaurant was not busy for lunch, the bar was full of Portuguese locals who were drinking, eating and enjoying European soccer on TV (always a good sign).  Recommended.
