Blackthorn Restaurant and Irish Pub

I saw on the news last week that this restaurant was cited by the state as being one of the restaurant/bars that got in trouble for replacing the alcohol in the bottles with cheaper alcohol. Although this is just your basic bar with bar food, I always did enjoy the atmosphere and music outside on the deck. However, now that I know they cheat on the alcohol, I wonder what else they cheat on and this leads me to give them one star.

I use to go here a while back and party and it was ok except the cops sitting across the street.. The outside patio is nice. Well I went back on a date because I wanted to sit outside and we did, the place was dead. Yes it was a Wednesday night . So the waitress came and recommended the sangria wich I enjoy , a pitcher for 20 dollars.
  Well it sucked the first pitcher was filled to the top and nice a cold but very weak alcohol wise. So we ordered another one, it came and was mostly all ice and no sangria so we complained and they did nothing. Hey not to sound like a alcoholic but 2 people , and 2 pitchers of sangria  and barely  buzzed and no comp from the pace not good. Also I do not smoke and yes it was outside seating but I had 2 tables smoking up a storm

this place went downhill over the last few years. it's pretty guido-esque for this area. with that being said you won't catch me there at night, but around lunch time isn't bad. the food is pretty good.
