I went to Cozy for the first time a few months ago and had no idea what to order. The lady behind the counter suggested their balsamic grilled chicken wrap with roasted peppers and mozz cheese ... SO happy I listened to her, the wrap was great.
Good customer service, food takes about 5 minutes to prepare after ordering.
I can't believe I haven't posted a review for Cozy yet! Â I lived on Cozy for about 4 years when I worked in Union. Â Not sure where to start so let's just go with breakfast, ok? Â First I would like to thank the small minded and mostly unintelligent worker girls I used to work with for submitting my name to their lunch contest without my permission. Â That was a gift. Â My first week I won first lunch and that's how the affair began. Â Went with the potato and eggwich with a side of grits. Â YUMMY for my tummy! Â
The sandwich was big and on a kaiser. Â I love kaiser rolls. Â The grits were still piping hot when my boy Derek delivered them. Derek is the 2nd reason I ordered so often. Â He was cool, like not a delivery driver. Â Came in my office and actually kicked it with me. Â Can't understand how the hell he got everyone their food hot because I know he chats with other customers too! Â But he does it and for that reason I love him. Â Now, moving along to lunch. Â I am a Roast Beef sandwich girl. And their RB is killer. Â They make it and they layer it on the kaiser super thick too. Â Slammin! Â I have also eated thenr BLT club, Cheesesteak, Chicken Caesar wrap, and havee had their corned beef on rye. All were just what G-wiz needed. Â
Cozy is located on Rahway ave in Union. Â Go up Morris Ave and make a left on Rahway by Cafe Z. Â It's on a corner on the left. Â They are cheap too! Â Not the quality of food or service, the prices. Â Dolla dolla all day baybay!!
The neighborhood lunch counter, Cozy Corner has been around forever. Â The setting is very 60's, with the spinning counter seats and a few tables. Â My guess is that they probably do far more deliveries ($1 fee, no minimum), and they are good (but not perfect) at packing their orders complete. Â I guarantee that unless you've recently been paroled, the food won't impress you-- it is, however, as-advertised and reasonably well-made. Â Their club sandwiches are almost always my choice, and I keep coming back.
Parking can be a bit tight in their lot, and blocking a lane of traffic to park on the street isn't a good idea. Â I've never found the crew who works here particularly friendly, but the delivery guys usually are.
