On a recent visit my experience was nothing short of horrible. I have eaten here 2 times prior and food is good but that's not the problem. On our recent we encountered an unruly family with 3 very loud out of control children. My wife asked if they could take it down a notch all hell broke loose. The father of the children insulted my wife and proceeded to engage me in a brawl while staff and management did nothing. They just stood there. I asked management to phone local police and they did nothing.
After the father of the unruly children calmed down a bit and left, all the other patrons applauded. I do not see a future for a business that allows this kind of behavior to continue. By the way it was 8:45 on a Saturday evening.
Although Millburn, NJ is far from being a mecca of Asian cuisine (it isn't), this particular Thai restaurant is actually quite good. Generally, food is flavorful but not too greasy. Unlike many Thai restuarants, their Pad Thai isn't drowned by the sauce. And yes, the brown rice isn't only tolerable, it's actually good (w/o competing w/the entree).
Thai iced teas/coffees are comparable to Chinatown. Probably a premade out of a bottle, but who cares, it tastes good.
Good service and the restaurant itself is clean and very spacious. Although I hate the little stringy curtains that they use to separate the booths - they stick to your coat, esp. if it's wool. Clean & artsy restrooms.
Great restaurant! I have come here a few times now, and every single time- the food has been great. Everything is very fresh (veggies are crunchy, delicious, not over-cooked). I have enjoyed the duck very much (crispy!) and the curry is excellent. I also like the noodles. I highly recommend it. Oh yeah- sticky rick with mango for dessert, yum!
