There is a guy working there who is probably the least attentive burrito wrapper on this side of the mississippi. Â I think he's a manager or something, because he's always trying to look and act busy even if there is no one on line. Â Here's a brief transcript of my last time at Qdoba:
Me: Hi can I have a burrito with just vegetables?
Guy: Beef or Pork?
Me: No, just vegetables
Guy: OK
Me: Can I have it to go?
Guy: For here or to go? (while staring at the people behind me and laughing)
There is also a worker there who couldn't wrap my burrito and needed someone else to do it. It's going to be rough for him to work at a burrito joint. I know this place is fairly new but the service is  awful. The food isn't terrible. I just wish Qdoba had a brown rice option like Chipotle. I just go 10 mins down rt 22 to get Chipotle because I'm sick of the bad service here... and the food is better at Chipotle
Prior to the Union location opening, I had never had Qdoba. Â There is a Chipotle down the road and it's alright, but it was nice having a Qdoba literally in walking distance. Â Also, I used to work at the Coconuts Music store that was previously at that location. Â It's amazing that they took the Coconuts storage room and made it a restaurant.
The food is typical American Mexican, but that doesn't mean it's not good. Â The workers are friendly, the place is clean, and the prices are fair. Â I have received 50% coupons in the mail a few times, so that helps a bunch. Â A chicken quesadilla for $4.00 is a steal!
I've had real Mexican food before, and it is better than the stuff they sell at a Qdoba, but for what it is, not a bad option at all if you're near one.
