Off The Hookah

This time I didn't like  it at all. First of all originaly i reserved a table for 10 people and was told that i need two bottles of something, When I called to confirm my reservation, I talked to Diego, and he said that there was no reservation, and gave me a list of rules for VIP. With what I had originally in mind, 2 bottles of liquor and upstairs, changed into us sitting in a 3 rd rate category of VIP with no stage view. Also he pressed the issue of how much we need to spend. I asked him if we can order wine also, because 3 of us didn't drink harsh liqours( we were all girls). He said, yes, but because wine is so much cheaper than vodka, we ll have to order as much wine so it will reach the minimum of $200. Also he said that if we want to be comfortable and have enough space for everybody and have nice view of the stage, we ll need to order 2 bottles of liquor for 5 people.  I asked him how is it possible to drink so much alcohol? It's almost half a bottle of vodka per person!  Considering that we all girls, and we already would have some drinks before we came here, as we were going to go to dinner before club, it's just seemed unrealistic and waste of money.  Then,he said, you have to sit in a back room with no stage view.  He wouldn't budge even after I told him how disappointed I am with the service I am getting, and after someone who took my reservation 2 weeks ago said nothing about table rules, and I made my desision about my birthday party based on what this person originally told me.
It all sounded so unwelcoming that I desided to just go there without any table sitting.

We got there around 11:30. Place was empty. 95% of tables were not occupied, If i was the manager  I wouldn't  fuss very much about all the rules with VIP situation, knowing  that this  is how it is.  We paid $10 cover charge anyway. We left at around 12:30 am. Place was almost as empty as before, but may be few people showed up here and there. I don't know may be it gets full around 2 am. But I was glad I didn't  pay for those bottles and sat in the empty club. there also was no dancers. One girl shows up few minutes before we left, but that was it.

Also, this club is VERY young. Some of the girls there were obviously with  fake id's. There is no way they could be 21, more like 15-16.
So, if you are over 30 think again,  most people there in their early 20s.
It was a wasted $10, we left and went to VIBE at Las olas, and it was fun, place was crowded.

So I visited Off The Hookah again about a week ago and this time things were a little different. I got there early in the evening again, and this time it was a Wednesday, so I didn't know what to expect. I went to the bar and asked what the drink specials were and the bartender told me beers were 2 for 1 till midnight, so I took the deal.

After ordering 2 rounds, I saw one of the flyers promoting the nights events and realized the bartender neglected to tell me that ladies were drinking free till midnight. That was not cool. I could have saved myself at least $15 just by drinking liquor instead. I actually would have preferred it.

Now, I know thats not a whole lot, but he knew that ladies got to drink free, why wouldn't he tell me? Not to mention I was tipping him well to begin with. Wouldn't he think that he would get more if I didn't have to pay for the drinks?

He rubbed me the wrong way and I was not happy with my second go round. I'm sure I'll visit this club again, but next time I'll see a different bartender.
